I'd love nothing more than to revisit Italy and to see its wildlife through the eyes of you and Luca, but financially it would be impossible. I imagine a quite grand video to come of that adventure, though, so I look forward to that (although topping the beauty of this last video won't be easy 😉)!

Bonjour juste pour te dire que c'est pas un exploit dans les vallées où elle se que je fréquente souvent c'est pas un exploit les animaux que les approches comme tu veux les bouquetins les chamois énormément de grimpeur pour la cascade de glace de randonneurs donc les animaux ils sont dans le village ils sont un peu partout ils ont désolé de casser ton à ton impression par rapport à son tout le monde peut le faire tu vas dans certains endroits à Chamonix c'est exactement la même

The eye infection is quite common among these. If they get over it, they can see again and live on. We have these close to home and winter 'sorts' the weak ones out. They are magnificent.
You are lucky to have so much snow. In our part of Switzerland everything is green and brown. It makes us worry a lot because each year it gets worse.

Amazing video, I don't think I ever realized that some hooved animals' "toes" tend to spread on the terrain until I saw the ibex walking in slow motion. I love your work!

We pronounce it "shamwa". I have been two times in the little city of Cogne, during summer. It is nice to see it under the snow, and in pictures of such quality. Have you tasted the "crème de Cogne" or Crema di Cogne? Maybe my favourite dessert.
Quite correct: the animal is the "chamwa". The variant "shami" or "shammy" is reserved for their skin, the much loved (in former times) shammy leather.

Great Shots Dani of the Chamois, one continuous sound, we have had them here in New Zealand since 1907, where they expanded in numbers so much they had to be culled, like the other introduced Deer species. I have seen many of them since 1962, in the backcountry. They suffer also from kerato-conjunctivous, including a variety found in Red Deer, Beautiful animal, so quick, the largest herd I saw was 28 on Mt Una in the Spencer Mts. And, whew can they move, up to 50 mls/hr. Great Shots with your Gear Dani.
