I want to play with this and create atoms. Just need to learn to mask like the planet.

Are there any special settings to note for the custom paths (clouds) - when I try to add 100% to the offset, the offset field defaults to its initial value automatically - any ideas anyone? thanks in advance. ex the offset calue is 40%, i try to change it to 140%, however when I hit enter the field defaults back to 40%

Refreshed the browser and the issue was solved - some cache issue perhaps.

Why does the window stop displaying when outside the group? Do group boundaries act as a sort of mask? If so, that is genius.

That looks so easy when you explain it like that. Thank you so much. I'm definitely trying this one in Rive🤩

Hello! Loving Rive so far. Are there any plans to make a video all about creating a character?

In the future, we would love to add more videos that deal with animating characters. For now, we have the Snowday and Football time videos to get you started.

wow thank you for this - I was just wondering how to do the exact same thing. One question though - I am making a character - its arms are long, connected to the bust. I want the arms to be behind the body AND the legs as well - is there a way to set both of these draw orders for the same group? I did a work around where I set two draw orders - one for the group, and one for the main shape of the hand (inside the group) but I saw you mention that that is not a good practice. Any thoughts?

The source file link is already complete. Is there a version that has the same starting place as this video?

I've updated the Community file, so there is a reference Artboard and another that you can use to create the animation.

How do I save source file as my own file?

    • @Rive_app

Use the link to the source file in the video description and then find the download button on the right side of the page. Once the file is downloaded, create a new file, then drag and drop the downloaded file onto the stage.
