Saw this show in Seattle four days ago and am still high. In forty-five years of watching live music this sort of thing has only rarely happened, and less often as I get older. I can count the truly transporting performances on one, maybe two hands. Now there's one more.
I noticed PJ Harvey about 30 years ago. Interesting, but did not touch me too much. About 1 month ago I was driving to Genève. I knew about her performance in Zürich. I stopped after 10 hours driving, was lucky enough to buy a ticket on site just 10 minutes before they started, seated, I was suddenly brought to other universe, dimension, space. Thank you very much.
This was performed and recorded last year...PJ Harvey grows richer, deeper, grander with time, her old songs are new songs and her songs are openings into new worlds...She is some artist, some human being!
There are no words to describe this woman as a singer, a songwriter, a performer. Her quality is astonishing. How many like her are out there? I’m pretty sure she has not peaked yet…

Much gratitude for posting this exceptional concert. PJ Harvey is to be treasured. She pours herself into her craft with such authentic passion and soul. The command of her stage presence in conjunction with her lyrics transports those lucky enough to witness in the flesh to another realm. Saw her open for U2 in 2001. If they toured together again, perhaps the roles would be reversed.
The lucky ones who get to accompany PJ. This is such good material, the music, the stage, the lights, the band. This is definitely one of the most beautiful videos on YT! Thank you, ARTE and thank you PJ Harvey.

I saw this show in Dublin back in September. Best gig I've been to in the last 20 years for me, a genuine performance as opposed to turning up and playing a set of songs.

I'm so glad I recently came back to PJ Harvey after a time away in radiohead land and nothing but thieves among many others I went right through all my old albums of hers and was AGAIN blown away by the sheer quality and astonishing imagination of this woman. Not to say being blown away by the bold lyrics and amazing tunes. It was bliss. I then looked up her last album and buried myself happily up to my neck! I was so glad I did. Because I was totally prepared for watching her PERFORM in the multitude of ways she does live. Incredible songs. Already I had my favourites but truelly I enjoyed the entire concert with the added aesthetic of polly the beautiful bird released from the cage to flutter around and around that stage! And on valentines day. (God, or RA or whoever, I hope you're telling me something lol) No , honestly , totally enjoyable watch and listen. Fantastic artistry , impeccable performance by the ensemble. I just can't believe Polly , that girl from the farm, is still turning out such genius, and beauty. Why isn't she celebrated by the UK more? Can anyone tell me why? Thanks PJ Harvey. I've seen her live once at Glastonbury, slotted in the afternoon. She was just epic & brilliant. Her frontwoman confidence and stage presence, just seems to speak to me. She can do everything and does it her way. Magic. Thanks for posting.

I found her when I was drawn into her lyrics from a movie I was watching that ended with “An Acre Of Land”-go whistle and Ivy, Sing Holly. Magnificent. God Bless you from New Mexico, USA
I have seen Polly live 3 times going back to 1993. But I think this performance is above anything I have seen before. I really wish I could have got a ticket for the Roundhouse, gig in London. I love her latest album. Second only to White Chalk for me. The mix of new album tracks and older classics is perfect at this concert. .Polly is one of the greatest musical artists of any era in my opinion. She gives a lie to those who claim that all modern music is inferior to the 1960's or 1980's etc. I also rate her alongside Bowie, Kate Bush and Dusty Springfield as one of the greatest solo artists the UK has ever produced. I know she has collaborators as did all of the other 3 . But like them she releases her music under her own name only.
I love all of her music but I wish her recent performances would rock out more like she does here with Man-Sized and Dress. I would love to hear more songs from Dry and To Bring You My Love. Polly Jean is a global treasure!

This is a beautifully shot film. Sound is excellent. However, brilliant as it is, it can't reproduce the thrill of seeing her perform it live. I saw her in Glasgow this year. Possibly the most electrifying live presence I've witnessed since Siouxsie Sioux in 1978.
Saw them at the Albert Hall last year the same concert awesome building awesome band. Can’t wait for the summer at the Halifax an outdoor gig. Loved her ever since they toured Dry when beginning their journey to greatness.

It's rare to feel transported watching TH-cam, but this did it for me. PJ is magic!
The lighting design is at a god-like level, and PJ Harvey is a goddess.
