Hammer Hazmat Solid versus Radical Max Bias // Ball Review
Hey Jeff, did you throw 12 strikes in a row ?
hello, what is the layout?
All I want to know is which one drives through carry down better
Didn't seem like the compound finish on the Real Time agreed with you. Seemed like it was going too long when it hit oil, but crossing the head pin when it hit the dry. A bit of surface might blend that out.
Can’t wait to get my Ricochet next week. Definitely is a good ball 🔥
Sick!
Is there an overlap with the Sublime Focus and the X Cell? Can they fit in the bag together?
For me, even the XCell likes to get down the lane a little further, which makes it a more versatile option
Ricochet would be the better core...
I just got this ball for Christmas, out of.all the reviews I've watched this one was the best! Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated! Let us know how you like your new Christmas present...
I just ordered the violent but they sent me the wicked idk if idk if should sent it back or keep it
To my(Ben) eye, I'd just keep the Wicked. I liked the look of Joe throwing the Violent, a lot, but there might be a tad more versatility with what one could do surface-wise with the Wicked. Maybe Joe can chime in too, haha
Nice Kegel Placement! :)
Holy shit dude that hook is crazy I’m getting my 900 in two weeks I got the black widow 3.0 magic gem and hammer hazmat hybrid
Yeah, the ball is a total monster. I'm going to be trying it on older/high-friction lanes at another center this week to see if its polish is enough to keep it in play. West Seattle Bowl is a fair bit cleaner/newer than a lot of other places
I just ordered the hammer anger. Can't wait to use it!!!
Sick--skid-snap time!
I love this ball so much, I have it pin down, that I ordered a 2nd ball now that it's discontinued. Doing a pin up layout, maybe something weaker.
To my(Ben) eye, pin-up could be pretty decent. I enjoyed that core pin-up when I wasn't on staff with Storm... seemed roll great
would you carry both
Hammer anger looks good! Would fit perfectly in the middle of my bag
Yes it would. It’s got some pop but very clean.
2-handed VS 1-handed..Yes please!!
On the way!
After you take these balls to leauge and bowl where do you update that at?
This coming new year, we're going to go a better job of providing updates from league and tournament usage. Stay tuned!
It’s funny hearing you mention how balls work for you vs other people. Everyone said I needed an iq tour back in the day. I bought one and tried it every which way. Nothing I did got that ball to do anything on any oil pattern. The iq tour is the worst ball I’ve ever thrown so it’s still weird to me hearing so many people laud the ball. It also gives me pause when someone says a ball I’m looking at is similar to the iq tour.
Good stuff!
Thanks!
Love the new hammer anger ball
Gonna be a good one for the bag, for sure
Thank you for your time to test both. 😃
Much appreciated!
How does the anger compare to the stealth hybrid? Do they overlap or can they both fit in the bag? Thank you
I think they are close but would give the nod to the stealth. That cover is a little stronger I think.
Hey my friend thanx for this video. I drilled a 3.0 the same as your max (drilling into the mass bias) I noticed the max lays off the back of the pattern as my 3.0 does!
Awesome to hear! Definitely an underrated ball this last year
What’s the difference between the hyroad pearl and the lightning blackout
The Lightning flares way less than the HyRoad, and as such it is much smoother down lane, I find
Ok thank you so much I wanted to replace my Hyroad pearl but I don’t know if I want The Road Warrior or Lighting blackout?
Like your video.Let me know if you have🎳a video on the Physics Black out
Appreciate it--thanks! My Blackout video is up! The ball is absolutely amazing. Might be one of my favorite balls of the last few years. Check the vid out!
Song at 12:30 ?
Just some random elevator music that I like
Wow you’re actually from West Seattle areas
Yep! You around these parts?
You saying the summit was also made for two handers? I didn't match up with the IQ ruby and I'm scared I won't match up with the summit with the same, larger core :(
I had both a Ruby and Summit. Didn’t match up with the Ruby and loved the Summit. Completely different shapes and strengths. Use Summit on fresh or heavier oil, Ruby on burn or dry oil.
I’m a two hander and I did not match up at all with the IQ Tour Ruby. On the other hand I matched up perfectly with my Summit.
@@sk8erpunk1504 I'm also two handed!! Thanks man
I appreciate the comments! The Summit compared much closer to the Heckler as an upper medium ball which is why I grabbed it halfway through the video. I’ve heard only good things about the IQ Ruby, I know a two hander at our center who shot 300 with it recently and loves it. It’s good to have a wide array of options for your arsenal, IQ line is lower to mid performance and Summit line is mid to upper medium but may vary on how you throw the ball.
@@2Hander my rev rate is just under 620 rpm so it gets super skid snappy if the lanes are ULTRA fried. May pick up a tropical storm. Wish someone did a review on the black trop. Storm
The music is always 🔥. I need to know where to find these vibes.
Thanks! You know we definitely have to bring them sick vibes
Kudos for keeping all your shots and keeping it real!
Much appreciated! Hope they all help!
The 9pin gave u the red ass😂🎉
Hahaha
Damn girl, you can strike!
Heck yeah she can!
Good one. I don't know if you guys do any league episodes, but a 3 dark ball bag may look nice. PhysiX Blackout, VEBO, Lightning Blackout.
We tried it once, but we need to revise a better way to do it. Stay tuned! We'll definitely give another go in the near future
Nice video. You make everything look good. How would you compare this with the Track Criterion.
Thanks--much appreciated! I haven't thrown the Criterion, as I'm on Storm staff--but, from everything I've seen in others using it here, I'd say the Physix Blackout gets down the lane a little easier than the Criterion, and corners a bit more, too
Enjoy your commentaries on your videos. The demonstrations of difference between different bowling balls is outstanding. You are doing a great job, keep going forward.
Much appreciated! Thanks for the support! Let us know if there's anything you'd like us to do
Is the S2 a replacement for the X Cell? Or is the more? Thanks.
Not a replacement--they can actually go in the same bag, I feel. The S2 gets further down the lane before getting into a roll, and is a lot sharper through the pins
Enjoying your natural speaking delivery, thoughtful comparisons, sequence of fine adjustments, immediate feedback, and those beefy strikes! Efficient and effective ball review
Thanks my guy! Love ya
Would love to see the PBO with some Power Edge on it. Would that put it in HRP or Exotic Gem territory?
I'll definitely be drilling up a few others in the near future, and was thinking of doing an Update video on the ball given how much I've been loving it. Perhaps having one with Power Edge would be great to add to that video. Definitely wouldn't put it in HRP territory, but could definitely be akin to Exotic Gem. Stay tuned!
Nice comparison thanks for showing the difference in the balls
Much appreciated--thanks!
@ Np
Ben just got that Dawg in him for the best videos on TH-cam
Dangggg
YOOOOOO
Right?
Put it up against the Proton
I retired my Proton after the Max came out and bested it, to my eye. But if I ever dig it back out, I'll consider going an all-Physix line comparison, with the OG original, Astro, Infinite and Blackout
The Physix Blackout looks like a ball I'd love to have! Might get this one late spring! I tried the xcell and did not match up with it, tried all kinda of surface adjustments, I even tried it in a 2 different houses. I just couldn't get it to work for me. Sold it to a buddy who is on one of my league teams and he destroys with it!
Hope you get a Blackout! It's definitely going to be a notable ball these next few months. It rolls just about perfect
The shot at 5:05 really shows the capabilities of this ball. 2 board move in from the X Cell spot and the ball literally looked like it hooke twice. A trained eye will be able to tell. This ball I'd going to be GOOOD. That said, Ben, your videos are the best going eight now IMO. Cheers!
Thanks--much appreciated! And yeah, this ball is so good... I can't wait to smash it with it next week
What is your process for applying the power edge? Great vid.
Thanks! And, great questions. The official process per Storm is 500 for 30 seconds all 4 sides, 1000 10 seconds all 4 sides, then a quarter-sized amount of Power Edge for 15 seconds on 2 sides. Then wipe all any excess with cleaner
I wasn’t going to get Effect Tour because I have the Envy Tour. I went ahead and got it, and went 290 first game out of the box and 763 for the night. Going to adjust surface a little higher on my Envy Tour so they don’t fill same spot in my bag.
That’s awesome !!
Like to c u throw it with a bit slower ball speed standing 35 and 18 at the arrows 9 at the break point
Yessirrr
Can u do a comparsion between the Storm Ion Max vs DNA?
I'll definitely keep it in mind for the future. I love both of those balls. DNA was highly underrated, IMO
What ball would be best in my 3rd slot after a Proton Physix and AS S2: Origin, DNA Coil, or HR Pearl?
Origin at box finish is probably the next step down from the S2... but if you wanted a little more separation and versatility in your bag, maybe consider the Road Warrior as that 3rd ball?
@@wsbproshopI have a Road Warrior, but am looking for something for game 3 of league, when there is still some oil on the lanes. I’ve tried the OG Attention Star and Infinite Physix in that slot but have over under issues, so something that can dig in a little more would be better.
Great video
Much appreciated!
