Okay. Okay. First off thank you for changing the surface I do not keep box surface on any new ball ! That 2K pad on it and 2nd shot made so much more since to my eye ❤
I love when you adjust the surface to show different reactions from the same ball. Thank you for breaking down different elements of the ball and trying to explain it in a simple way.
Based on my understanding of what I read about the Power Edge on the Storm Bowling website, it is a compound similar to what Brunswick uses to shine their bowling balls. Color me impressed, Utah.
Great content, great videos always, I say this is the best educational videos on the internet , this is my position, straight to the point, great analogy.
New tow league bowling this year got a phase AI to be a ball down from my Black Widow 3.0 just threw my first 200 game with the Phase AI I know once I get my release down a little better with some more revs it will really shine liking it thus far. I’m play pretty straight and I’m more speed dominant and it’s working for me
its the 6th one which is VI in Roman Numerals and the AI is upside down and backwards from the VI..... its the only thing I can see when i look at the ball.
Great review! I would love to see how it stacks up against other big assym pearls from other brands. Also SPI needs to tell us more about the power edge, how am I gonna buy a ball if I have no clue on how to get it back to box finish or similar?
would love to see the phase 2 comparison, I also like the surface changes although I personally don't have the facilities to constantly change surfaces
I pre-ordered the Power Edge polish. From what i've seen and read on Storm's site, along on other bowling ball seller sites, Power Edge doesn't have a slip agent in it. So no silicone, wax, etc. I reached out to Storm and asked when will the polish be released. They told me either when the Phaze AI is released or after the release, a little later. I have a sample of the Power Edge but haven't used it yet. I've used Reacta Gloss and TruCut 5500 polish, i like both as they make the ball tacky as hell lol. My gf has the Phaze AI and the ball is a beast with a down and in shot or with a little angle. Hopefully you enjoy the ball and experiment with the Power Edge polish. Thanks
Love the review! I like comparing and also surface changing cause that shows more what will happen to the ball long term. Would love to see this compared to phase II and maybe DNA Coil.
Looks like Storm has a page up with some info on Power Edge, along with other Edge line products. Power Edge seems like it's an upgraded version of Step 2/3 finishing compounds, just without any type of slip agent but still get that nice glossy shine.
The phase V was a good ball too and you’d use it differently than the PAI. You use it later in the set and not in the fresh. You need to compare it against the journey imho.
Both balls you use in the transition phase, journey is an all around stronger piece. Best ball for a comparison would be the new idol pearl and even then that ball is stronger both core and cover.
As soon as you mention surface I was like I want to see 2K and see if it just turns into a phase two. I'm excited to see them side by side, but my prediction is it's going to be pretty close to the phase two at the same surface
Agreed will be similar (at 2k)...BUT NOT. Phaze AI will have an enhanced ability, that the Phaze II will never be able to do since it's the AI is Pearl!! Good 1 -2 punch. Storm Nation!
Amazing review and content, as always. Would love to see a comparison with the Phaze 2, really interested to see that to compare the pearl vs non-pearl TX-16.
I want to see it compared to the Summit Peak, similar numbers, but to see if the reaction is different. To see if Storm went back to angular instead of smooth and you a see the difference between power edge and not power edge.
Great review, this ball looks like a keeper. Do you think it reacts harder on the backend than the Stealth pearl? Trying to think of other strong sym pearls that it would compare to.
Great vid Ron. Very informative. I was wondering. Since I have your polish and am not too keen on getting another polish specifically for a ball, would I be able to use your polish when a resurface is in order? I would really like to see a comparison between your polish vs. power edge. Also if I was to resurface this to oob finish using your polish, what would be the final grit before applying the polish?
This ball is amazing ! Looks so good even with the surface change ! Question:what does leaving the polish on for a house shot or what’s the best polish so many polishes out there
I'm curious about phase 2 vs sublime focus. In the market for a good strong symmetrical and symmetrical pearl. Doesnt have to be phase AI but could be. My local pro shop guy at a bowlers mart threw the AI and left a bunch of splits. He was almost thinking of destroying that ball. Haha. But your ball review makes it look really good.
I'm currently looking for a new ball. And up until now, I thought I had the perfect ball. So I was wondering if you could do a comparison of the Storm Phaze A.I. vs Motiv Raptor Rush? That review will be my tie breaker if you decide to do it. Thank you for the content. 😁
I really love the idea of comparing the P5 and the PAI, but is comparing R2S to T16 (even in a pearlized version) a fair comparison??? Those are wildly different coverstocks. As we all know, cores certainly make a difference, but nothing near as much as the coverstocks do. What this video DID make me wonder about is how the P5 would look with the new Power Edge polish on it. I bet it would much more closely resemble the new PAI, but even then, I'd still expect the PAI to be the stronger ball with better reaction.
i wanna see the phaze A.I. up against the Optimum Idol pearl, sublime and iq ruby, those are the balls im most interested in seeing head to head for comparison
Storm needs to do something to counter the HK22 onslaught which stole their thunder in the flippy category. Phaze AI looks like a winner but I bought a Vaporize in August and loving it.
Phaze AI - Awesone Indeed... i think the Power Edge + TX-16 Pearl + AI technology wrapped around the famous Velocity core = a special medium/sharp ball. I would like to see how the AI would play off the Phaze 2. 2k grit on P2 and 3k on Phaze AI
Exactly, TX16 is a nano based formula where R2S Pearl doesn't have any. I drilled a Journey which is same TX16 Pearl cover, mine was always trying to grab upfront and puked down lane. I think mine may have been a bad pour/batch because it looked best on a short pattern with surface. This looks like they may have tweaked the formula some more, looks more responsive in every video than all of the Journey videos.
Hey Ronald. We need to get together. I have some questions I would like to ask you myself and some of my subscribers would love for us to maybe do a Q/A collab one day.
Think since the Ion, Ion Max, Harsh Reality Pearl etc storm has hit its stride again and is coming out with banger after banger. I have The Road and Harsh Reality Pearl. They both just crush the pins .
Amazing ball review, first time seeing tour channel, instant subscribe. I have a phase 2 and im deciding between this ball or the optimum idol. Any thoughts?
Cool video talk tech bowling ball storm phase ai technology bowling ball more strikes and spares hitting power at times ctd creating the difference Ron hickland
Reacta Gloss was junk and I avoided it like the plague. I drilled a 2022 Phaze 3 and threw it on the spinner for a surface reset BACK to 1500 polish and it may have ran into a 180 grit pad to get it all off before it even went down the lane. No issues after that.
Bro…. You have taken the TH-cam ball reviews and elevated it in a way only you can. Keep it coming Ron, it is much appreciated.
Appreciate the feedback and support
Very much appreciated.
Okay. Okay. First off thank you for changing the surface I do not keep box surface on any new ball ! That 2K pad on it and 2nd shot made so much more since to my eye ❤
Watching ball videos when Ron gets excited is so fun.
😂😂😂
I enjoy your enthusiasm Ronald! I also admire how you go about your business and growing your brand.
We appreciate the support
I love the different looks with the different surfaces! Super useful information
Glad it was helpful!
god i miss these longer videos with more details and more shots in different places on the lane
welcome back!
Glad you like them!

Im getting one for christmas. Cant wait to get it drilled. Keep hearing food thibfs about it. Ill have this and a perfect mindset in my bag
Ron, not only with the AI but, my Summit Peak is a lot like that. I think the storm experimental season pretty much ended with the Summit Peak.
Great content, great videos always, I say this is the best educational videos on the internet , this is my position, straight to the point, great analogy.
LOVE the surface comparisons! Please keep including them!
You made my choice for my next ball for me. Fellow left hander.
Always enjoy when you try a few surface adjustments just to see the behavior.
Thanks for the feedback

love these reviews with the surface change. You really helped me find a good spot for my x-cell with surface adjustments
its the 6th one which is VI in Roman Numerals and the AI is upside down and backwards from the VI..... its the only thing I can see when i look at the ball.
Upside down it's IV, so get your eyes checked.
Great review! I would love to see how it stacks up against other big assym pearls from other brands. Also SPI needs to tell us more about the power edge, how am I gonna buy a ball if I have no clue on how to get it back to box finish or similar?
Great point!
The surface changes are soo cool to see, really helpful, wish others did that too
awesome review whipping out the undrilled phase v was the cherry on top
would love to see the phase 2 comparison, I also like the surface changes although I personally don't have the facilities to constantly change surfaces
Thanks for watching
Our products work by hand too
Yikes.... I want this! Great demo with the 2 surface adjustments!
I pre-ordered the Power Edge polish. From what i've seen and read on Storm's site, along on other bowling ball seller sites, Power Edge doesn't have a slip agent in it. A friend just got the Phaze AI. That things looks great. Flips hard and continuous.
My only issue with angular balls is maintaining the surface on them once you get games on them.
I hear ya. I'm a bit speed dominant so I just hit 'em with a 3K pad which slows it down a bit for me.
Great video! Definitely need to see the P2 vs PAi
Love the review! I like comparing and also surface changing cause that shows more what will happen to the ball long term. Would love to see this compared to phase II and maybe DNA Coil.

Phaze II vs. Journey vs. Phaze AI
Thanks for doing the out of box finish and then altering it.
Glad you like it
Love your videos. Always filled with great information. I would love to see the comparison between Phaze AI and the ION Pro.
Yeahhhh that may be a good review
Great review Ron, i'm excited for this one, i use the phaze 5 for league and need a step up sometimes, i've got mine ordered.
Just got today, looking to see how it rolls on league night!! First shot after drill all ten in the pit.
Great video. Ball looks really good. I am a low rev older bowler and I am going to get one on preorder.
Level 1 to level 2, excellent review, quick, to the point. Much better look than the new Motiv Raptor Rush. Cover technology is key in the new era!
Would this be a good ball to switch to when the phaze 2 starts to overhook?
Great video just sealed the deal I'm pre-ordering mine now
Would love to see you compare Power Edge and CTD Polish...
That's a great question, we definitely will be doing that
@@Ctdbowling Or power edge on a few other balls, Also mix it with your too, Its only fair, its your channel.. LOL
I’d like to see a phase 5 or phase 2 shined with power edge and see how they compare
I was sitting here thinking the same thing.
Definitely one I want to get, my only question is if we like it out of the box are we going to be able to maintain that put with are own polish?
The phase V was a good ball too and you’d use it differently than the PAI. You use it later in the set and not in the fresh. You need to compare it against the journey imho.
Both balls you use in the transition phase, journey is an all around stronger piece. Best ball for a comparison would be the new idol pearl and even then that ball is stronger both core and cover.
I use my phaze v on short fresh patterns
Nice work !!!!
As soon as you mention surface I was like I want to see 2K and see if it just turns into a phase two.

Amazing review and content, as always. Would love to see a comparison with the Phaze 2, really interested to see that to compare the pearl vs non-pearl TX-16.
I preordered mine based solely on the stone 9 pin ball 1......... jkjk I have had so much success w Phaze V I gotta give this one a try
I will say I had to get rid of the Reacta Gloss on the PV and take it to 500 and then hit it with Step 2
I want to see it compared to the Summit Peak, similar numbers, but to see if the reaction is different. To see if Storm went back to angular instead of smooth and you a see the difference between power edge and not power edge.

This ball is amazing ! Looks so good even with the surface change !
Question:what does leaving the polish on for a house shot or what’s the best polish so many polishes out there
I think the current polish looks good on the house shot for this ball.
I've got a question on this new polish, how would you be able to replicate the out of box finish?
Currently you can't
I'm curious about phase 2 vs sublime focus. In the market for a good strong symmetrical and symmetrical pearl. Doesnt have to be phase AI but could be. My local pro shop guy at a bowlers mart threw the AI and left a bunch of splits. He was almost thinking of destroying that ball. Haha. But your ball review makes it look really good.
compare the power edge and smooth edge agaist each other
Would definitely like to see it against the optimum idol pearl I feel they are in a similar arsenal spot and interested in the differences.
I'm currently looking for a new ball. And up until now, I thought I had the perfect ball. So I was wondering if you could do a comparison of the Storm Phaze A.I. vs Motiv Raptor Rush? That review will be my tie breaker if you decide to do it. Thank you for the content. 😁

Love my phaze v fits my game style perfect
Would love to see a P2 and PAI both 2000, side by side!!!
Yeahhhhh that's gotta happen
What about sanding the a.I. down and shining up a phaze 2 comparison???
i wanna see the phaze A.I. up against the Optimum Idol pearl, sublime and iq ruby, those are the balls im most interested in seeing head to head for comparison
How does Power Edge compare with the Hand Applied Polish Plus?
Not sure but we Definitely will do a comparison once it comes out
I just bought this ball yesterday. Can you tell me what the lanes condition was. Was it fresh oil?
Storm needs to do something to counter the HK22 onslaught which stole their thunder in the flippy category. Phaze AI looks like a winner but I bought a Vaporize in August and loving it.
Phaze AI - Awesone Indeed... i think the Power Edge + TX-16 Pearl + AI technology wrapped around the famous Velocity core = a special medium/sharp ball. I would like to see how the AI would play off the Phaze 2. 2k grit on P2 and 3k on Phaze AI
TX16 much stronger cover formula then R2S, reacta or not V should be much weaker......

Definitely want to see this compared to the Phaze II
great review Ron - how does it compare to the Raptor Rush ?
I think this ball out hooks it in total hook and down lane.
IMO....this is Utah's answer to the HK-22 hype. They have seen the popularity growing on the Brunswick7 side and needed to do something.
Hey Ronald. We need to get together. I have some questions I would like to ask you myself and some of my subscribers would love for us to maybe do a Q/A collab one day.

So you took to a phaze 2 the goat ?? I’d like to see it now vs the 2
Amazing ball review, first time seeing tour channel, instant subscribe. I have a phase 2 and im deciding between this ball or the optimum idol. Any thoughts?
I think this one will be more versatile.
Would like to see comparison between phaze AI and optimal idol pearl.
You should do a comparison between smooth edge and power edge
Cool video talk tech bowling ball storm phase ai technology bowling ball more strikes and spares hitting power at times ctd creating the difference Ron hickland
Reacta Gloss was junk and I avoided it like the plague. I drilled a 2022 Phaze 3 and threw it on the spinner for a surface reset BACK to 1500 polish and it may have ran into a 180 grit pad to get it all off before it even went down the lane. No issues after that.
How about against the Optimum Idol Pearl?
That's a legit comparison
Just signed up to join the CTD family, quick question where do you see this coming out the bag 2 ball out the bag or 3rd
2nd
Do you have a bowler with less revs
That’s pretty cool
That laugh😂😂😂
I hate my phase 5. I think I had it drilled wrong for me too.
What is your six ball arsenal?
Envy Tour, Ion Pro, Phase AI, Ion Max, Blue Tank, CtD Spare Ball
I'll keep my black widow
I am waiting for someone to throw and out of box Phaze AI against a second one that was resurfaced with Reacta Gloss
Reactagloss was so bad. So happy to see it gone.
How long until P2 gets the AI CORE. That will be an even greater ball
AI vs original Zen vs SureLock
Miss left doesnt mattter
A.I. really is getting stamped on anything these days.
No different than HK22 on nearly every new ball from Brunswick over past year.
Here's your comparison between a Phase II and the new Phase AI by Verity: th-cam.com/video/HDzKmczhVow/w-d-xo.html
