Worth mentioning that the GT lost half of the control knobs of the original v synth

Roland V-Synth GT : two V-Synth engines + Vocal Designer, a great flagship.
But with D-50/VC-1 integrated, it would have been even greater.
🙏 Really helpful, I have the vp9000 and love it, for its oddness.
Would love the v synth gt but have run out of room so considering the xt, but it’s hard to pass on the extra controls 🤦🏻

Owned both XT & Orig V-synth- V-synth is certainly my most used digital synth . probably like many people watching this would,certainly love a GT 😍...( but now are just too rare & crazy expensive 😢). Thanks for your efforts in supporting these amazing (& semi- forgotten) Roland synths!

This holy trinity is beyond this world. I really found my sound signature.
I sold the MPC X and the JP-08 and found by accident the GT for a reasonable price.
Seriously in a mint condition in its original box.
The GT is deep....Almost too much.
I will continue with making vids for these units because they deserve it.

Hi! Congrats on the V-Synth.
When you do a Factory Reset all the original patches are restored into the V-Synth.

Quality Video Rogier, that vocal designer looks incredible but that might be just how well you play. In fact the whole synth sounds amazing just don't have the space or budget so it will have to be on the GAS back burner.

So I got my V-Synth around 2005 and used it as a performance instrument for years and loved everything about it. I never bought any VC cards for it though and they're very expensive today, would you say it's worth it? (looking at VC-2 primarily)

The VC-2 would be an amazing addition. The VC-1 is nice but not as amazing as the VC-2.
I mean, you can buy the Boutique D-05 in case you wish to have a D-50 but the VP-03 is nothing in comparison to the VC-2.
The string sound at 4:20 is beautiful. Is that using GT specific features or can all three of them do that ?
This is a GT-only sound, unfortunately.
@@theMIDImaniac thanks for responding. I was able to confirm this. It seems like the newer fantom (and of course the integra) has these (the supernatural solo string sounds)
I bought the VP-9000 first, fully upgraded. It was fun but a limited use today... Especially if you have a V-synth. Took me a LOT of work to track down an XT though... Found it on C-Discount of all places for around £750

Maar ik wacht nog steeds op het volledige nummer "WALK ON THE BEACH" op de vsynt, want dat was echt goed!
Hasn't Vocal Designer recently been added to the Jupiter X? Maybe the V Synth will be on Roland Cloud one of these days!
I don't know if they add that. Could be but I don't do the cloud, nor using computers for my music.
I would be surprised to see the V-Synth on the cloud. Let's see where they come up with.
These have been a constant source of 🤔🤔🤔. I want the GT, but they continue to rise in price. I luv the XT, yet I have too many racks. Also I want the controls of the keyboard layout. I could get the OG, yet want the color screen and newer version. I need to decide sooner than later. Good stuff Bro. 👍🏾✌🏾✊🏾
Decisions...always difficult. I'm really blessed to have the trilogy nowadays.

Hi Rogier, any idea what could have gone wrong with my v synth, for some unknown reason it freaks out and starts changing patches by itself and is unusable, I tried a factory reset but no joy, I'm puzzled what's going on, it was perfect before this happened, thank you.
Maybe there is a broken encoder
Is there a way to have the D50 sounds on the GT version?
Unfortunately not although there are some D-50 tones installed to create D-50like sounds.
What about the encoding process and the dark mysteries of the file storage system. I never really know where anything is.🤣

The GT is one of the best synths Ive ever had. The vocal designer is the best of them all. Its a unique synth , a weird sonic oddball that looks like Tron meets Bladerunner and can sound like that also.
Well explained! I'm really impressed by it. It is beyond another level!
I always wonder about Roland... Bringing one new "Jupiter" and "Juno" after the other but forgetting about their best digital synth. And I wonder what a new version V-Synth could do?
But maybe the GT is just perfect 😊.
