Hi, I built a sliced wood coffee table and used wood oil with wax, but, it looks too dark for my interior. Can I made another coat with white wood oil stain?
Can this be put over finished wood? And can it be tinted? I have some golden oak cabinets that I would like to put a finish on that looks like a whitewash, but with some color.
What about sealing? Are there any other steps before or after for kitchen cabinets? I saw another video use a Pre-stain conditioner that’s supposed to make the stain go on more evenly. Would that work with a gel stain?
I stained something and it is too dark orange. Trying to match to something that is same color but looks like has little bit of milky white finish. Not whitewash. Can i put a very thin layer over the too orange color.
Minwax white oil transparent, I tried a wipe off but it was too light, I put 1 smooth layer , fairly thick, dry 40 hrs , then add my poly clear, looks UP TOWN 🙂
Can you please answer the question others have asked? Can I stain my cabinets white if they're already been stained a light oak? I'm looking to update this 50+ year old kitchen. Thank you!
Hi Jason. I have closet doors that are stained in brown (shiny). The wood grain is amazing. Can u tell me what to do to maintain the wood grain while staining it in white? So I will first sand them ( do I need a deglosser?) Then apply this stain Then?

Hey Jason! I'm attempting to remodel an old dresser. Although I've already done quite a bit of sanding, the cherry stain is still showing. Would I be able to use a white/light stain in order to achieve a natural looking wood colour? Thanks!!
Hi Jason, great video. Thank you. Will the oil base stain you’re recommending give a deeper white than water based? I kind of want white/whitish floors but so I can see the grain. Thank you
Hi Jason! I was trying to redo my table to have a raw wood color. However it is too yellow. I want to stain it white as you did. What do you recommend for a top coat? Wax or polyeurethane? I’m worried polyeurethane will darken it, but it’s a kitchen table that is used a lot
Unfortunately most of the cheap poly will turn it yellow. There are some very good professional poly products but they may be hard for you to use and even purchase. Honestly, I would just use deft. It’s available at Lowe’s and is a lacquer. You can build on as many coats as you would like and it’s very user friendly. Comes in a gallon option as well as a spray can
That was a bit hard to watch. New jacket, coming very close to the edge, holding the brush backwards towards your chest with wet stain on it and all the waving hands with stain on the gloves...lol, When are you going to hit your jacket?! Especially after starting by spilling the stain. nice job
Thanks, just the help I needed for a honeydo project.
Thank you for the video. Very helpful step by step tutorial 😁

Where did you get the blue wood Stain in your drawers
Dave, I just stained my blanket ladder with rustolium antique white. Barely even can tell. Can I use your gel stain over it?
How does it look? I can't believe you didn't show the end result.
Jason need help I have old floors pretty scared up can you use this process to lighten up the color ? And then poly over it.
Have you done a white gel over a dark gel? I used an antique walnut oil gel stain and i decided its too dark.

If I were going to keep a blonde finish on an oak table but want the wood grain to be white, would this be the product to use?
Great tips, thank you 👌🏽😊
would this finish be suitable for the surface of a desk? or would you put a coat if varnish on top?

You could possibly mix some light colors together to hide some of the cherry that is showing
Can I white stain my logs or can I paint boards white and put over logs
Suzanne Boily absolutely!
Suzanne Boily, did you stain your logs with this? If so, how did it turn out?
