I've talked with hundreds of patients in hospitals, support groups, friends in psychotherapy, not one, without exception regretted taking medication. I just spoke with an 80 year old who has been taking meds for 50 years, and she doesn't regret it. Meta-analyses show talk therapy is completely ineffective, even psychoanalysts, the grandadaddys of talk therapy admit this and give out meds. Don't listen to these fringe theories that are pushing ideoligies. It's not some grand conspiracy by big pharma. If you have mdd, schizophrenia, bipolar take your meds. 40-50% of psychotic people think there's nothing wrong with them and won't take their meds I know one who insisted that there is a grand conspiracy by big pharma, she watched videos like this. She killed herself. she was in her 30s
Trudy, your talk was encouraging to me. I’ve been in PAWS for almost two years now and the road feels hard and long sometimes. Thanks very much to both of you.
Trudy your talk was very helpful to me . I’ve been on two drugs for decades and believe tapering the drugs at the same time is the way to go . If your brain is use to the the combination, if only makes sense to do that . What group do you monitor from ?
Just wondering, was Judy ever tested for gluten sensitivity/celiac disease? It seems that everyone is jumping on the gluten-free dairy free bandwagon but from what I understand unless you have a true gluten sensitivity the body wouldn’t be reacting to the gluten? I I think when we eliminate sugar, processed food dairy and gluten most of us feel better because we’re basically eating vegetables, fruit and protein, but not necessarily, because were intolerant to gluten or dairy?
Nice interview.:) Gave me hope, because I am tapering three at once. I was on them for just 4 months and taper one after another would mean years and years of suffering.
I’m also in Canada. What is the name of the group that Trudy mentioned that she runs? I’d love to be in touch with her, if possible. I’m tapering zol and Val with great difficulty.
Trauma causes epigenetic changes in the brain. Remembering trauma doesnt change this. Even psychoanalysts the granddaddys of talk therapy admit this. If you have a psychotic disorder just take your meds 😂
I’m wondering how much of the “treatment” of these Vietnam vets was what’s was keeping them stuck in the trauma?
All of them

Excellent interview. Proud to be your friend, Trudy. Yours is one of the most inspiring and hopeful success stories I've heard to date 🙏🏼❤️
You're story might have just saved my life!❤😢thank you ❤
Thank you Trudy for your story! I’m weaning off of one drug at a time. Finished one, in the middle of a second. You give me hope.
Thank you for sharing Georgia.
Always do what your body tells you. That is what most online groups tell you.
I wish my family had understood that when I tried to tell them.
I appreciate what you are doing for some patients.
Thank you Trudy for sharing your experience and your wisdom.
Trudy is amazing!
I recommend the book Brain Energy by Dr Chris Palmer for effects of diet on mental health
I'm doing an interview with Chris Palmer soon!
