- For small towns in the path of totality, the eclipse is a massive opportunity and potential game changer for local economies. The Weather Channel's Katie Tutrone went to Russellville, Arkansas to see how this small town is preparing for what could be the biggest event they will ever see.

I think the people who missed the 2017 eclipse are trying to make sure they don’t miss this one. During that eclipse, I was living in Athens, TN. It’s a small town in between Knoxville and Chattanooga. We didn’t have an influx of people like some of there towns are gonna get this time around.
BTW, Russellville is a town I considered moving to back in 1998. I had gotten off active duty and became a truck driver, and I wanted to move to the center of the country from California. I finally bought a house just south of Joplin, Mo.
Saw the last one in Oregon and was determined to see the next one. Drove to Russellville from Denver this weekend. See you all Monday!
