What happened in 11:17 is classic (if you played F1 2002 and F1 Carrer Challenge 99-02 in consoles):
if in the last meters you are in podium position, the game put a sepia filter in the camera, but in the Aarav game this just dark all the screen (a bug).
I think he's playing on an emulator, so the emulator probably doesn't know how to handle it.

If you ever get '99-'02 working, you need to try the telemetry function after you run a few practice/quali laps at a track, it's simply way ahead of its time and it's something that, although a bit excessive, I wish was present in more F1 games.
Regarding telemetry there are few versions made by modders for old find the limit site

Theres actually another F1 2002 that you should play. It was made by Studio Liverpool, same studio that developed F1 2003-F1 2006.

I have played the PC version of F1 2002 (Also from EA) a lot. This game looks very different. It looks like, that the PS2 Version is a completely different game than the PC Version.

I would like to see you take a stab at playing a NASCAR game. I don't think you have what it takes. Yeah it's mostly circles but imagine how tiring it gets having to wheel those big heavy cars around from 400 to 500 laps. Anywhere from three to five hours.

Yes, it was. F1 2002 was released in June and it had the old layout. F1 2002 by SONY was released late in the year and had the new layout.

Fascinating thing that on PS2 EA's F1 2000, 2001 and 2002 or F1C 99-02 were so unplayable while on PC was so realisitic.

EA's PC version of F1 2002 was developed by ISI, the guys who later made rFactor and is much much much better.
I can't believe I remember everyone's helmets from a 2002 racing game. I just remember the true crowning achievement in this game was Flipping a car.

It's hard to believe looking at it now but I remember really enjoying this. Saying that, the game I had before this was F1 World Grand Prix on N64. I loved that too but this looks quite playable by comparison!

Hey Aarav if you can't make the original F1 Challenge 99-02 run, maybe you can download a mod called F1 Challenge VB, which covers ALL the season in the history of F1 (from 1950 to 2019, that means). I think the handling isn't changed but I can't tell you as my notebook is too weak.
You can't launch F1 Challenge 99/02 on PC? There're like tons of tutorials how to make the game start on Win 8/10. It's easy, I've instaled it billion times, I don't need the tutorials anymore, I have it in my head.
They made 99-02 for PS2, its just known as F1 Career Challenge:)
Download F1 Challenge VB, is the 99 02 game with every f1 season, there are tutorials on youtube on how to install it
