- Elin continues to recover after her surgery to remove the screws from her hips. It is later in the day and she has been moved to the paediatric ward. She has spent more time in her wheelchair and we have had periods of her being very happy and energetic, as well as periods of her being tired and in pain. Main considerations of the day have been to manage her pain, get her bowel moving again and her tolerating feeds through her mic-key button.
I'm a special needs mum vlogger in the UK with two daughters, one of whom is severely disabled. Elin is a girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she has a feeding tube, is a wheelchair user and as she can't use the toilet independently she is in a nappy / diaper.
Apart from cerebral palsy, Elin has complex medical needs and seizure disorder. She has tonic clonic, or grand mal seizures, partial focal seizures and absence seizures. She is on multiple medications every day, for her spastic muscles, for her reflux disorder and for her epilepsy. Elin is on a blended diet, which we give her through her feeding tube, and I share tips, how to and recipes.
On this channel I share our day to day life, our morning, feeding, medication and bedtime routines, feeding techniques, how Elin communicates, etc. I also showcase the relationship between Elin and her sister Alice, and how they play and interact with each other.

Hospitals in the USA don't allow parents to give medicine from home they get it from the pharmacy so they can charge more for it nurses would be giving the medication children's hospitals are really nice here parents have a pull out bed in the room children with disabilities get Medicaid which pays for diapers wheelchairs home health you could use respite care they send PT and OT at home or in school in the UK the wait time for surgery is insane I had my surgeries at shrines a special hospital for children with orthopedic disabilities
They do it for safety reasons. They can’t just let parents give meds and not know why they are giving them. no reason a parent needs to be giving meds in the hospitsl

I just found your u tube page i’m 62 years old and have spastic CP as well I am also wheelchair-bound and use a power wheelchair I am also blind and two years ago I had cystostomy surgery ( super pubic catheter) have her drs ever suggested that for her?It is made a world of difference for myself this surgery should have been done when I was about her age but unfortunately it has taken me many years to find the urologist who would listen to my complaint and actually put one in I knew I needed it done a very long time ago but no one believed me until now
