@@oldmate_adventures HipCamp in Bindoon, awesome spot 👍had some good cook ups and plenty of sherbets 🍷🍷🍷, No fires yet but had some rain that didn't really get absorbed but awesome to dance around in 🤣🤣🤣
Love your episodes Jeff & Kell nice relaxing to watch , maybe when you get back in WA you can do an episode on the wa salmon run which has been a bit hit & miss but some absolute bruisers this season .
Coming up mate we had a epic day on the south coast of S.A., maybe next episode 🙌👍🍻. I think the warmer waters has been a issue with the migration but that's just my 2 cents. You get into some?
Love that place. I've had it saved in my wikicamps for a while now. I'd like to spend a few weeks there. My ute is finally going in next week mate. So if you turn back, we meet you both at Barmera Lake Bonney 😅😂 slay some carp, haha. Love the vid mate. That rod looks fantastic. Safe travels 👌
Louth jetty gets a lot of squid, but that also means it gets fished hard and constantly, so can be hard work. Ideally you have the jig as close to the bottom as you can, you will catch heaps if you adopt Egi techniques and play the jig up and down, either a series of short fast jerks as a prawn or long single pulls as a fish rising. One of our best squid catching areas is along the coast between engine and fishermans point, drifting from the blue line out into 6-7m then move back in a bit along the beach is the go. We do best late evening and into dark for squid, and very much better for fish too. If it's bright you need to get out deeper. The squid will always strike when the jig is sinking. Unless you have got formal permission to fly a drone inside our parks, it is illegal in South Oz, so be aware of that too...
Awesome Ep and place and squid and Hessers guys, How good do them rods you build look, Nice work, On another channel they slow troll there squid jigs and get good squid.
Cheers Craig mate! Yeah they come out pretty good 👍 . Ha I think the next episode I slow troll for squid! Yeah I usually swap between the 2 techniques. Depending on depth of water and wind direction etc. 👍👍

another great video i love how your just yourseles. can i ask where you got the rod drying machine, ive been looking but there either really cheap or heaps expensive
Cheers mate! Much appreciated 👍👍 It's a small one from The Rod Works, I think it was around $60 or something. It can be 12v or 240v also. It isn't the best for applying epoxy as it's pretty slow but I'm limited on what we can carry with us.
Nice one Jed and Kel. Stay safe have fun!👌😁
Cheers Dave! 🍻
