Brilliant Jed, We went out today, got 7 each. Pop corn Cray tomorrow night I recon after watching this -that looked damn good! Loved the smoker - I have fire pit and fermenter build around similar designs lol. (Old kegs must be like milk crates in Australia.) We are going out again in the morning fingers crossed we get the aunts quota for Christmas LOL! . Watching your video triggered me as today I watched this poor young lad drop his new boat off the trailer onto the boat ramp this morning with the motor down. Stabby craft, similar size to your olds 449 and same motor. Looked Brand new. Blew the skeg fin off and took off a blade on the prop as the motor was down and safety chain was off. Guessing he probably bent the prop shaft as well. Nearly cried, I so felt sorry for him. Then someone said to me - I hope that was not his Dads boat. ( His Dad was clearly not there). Hell I hope he was insured and his old man was away in Europe for the next 3 months!! Great to see you having some laughs! Dive safe, have fun!👊✋🍻👍🦞😁
Nice one Dave!! Lemme know how you go this morning 👍🦐🤺. Ooofff yeah poor fella, would been devo'd! You only do that once hey....Hopefully 😬 Happy diving mate and chat soon! 👍
Yeah Cam there's some great diving off Bunbury area! No commercial fishing down here too which is a bonus. Yeah do it! Once you got your ticket it's fairly easy to borrow gear too. I find scuba the most relaxing thing I've ever done!
Cheers Craig, much appreciated 🍻! The ground off Binningup down to Busselton is highly under rated. Not alot if almost no commercial fishing which helps massively!
Beautiful work mate. Can't believe how many were down there. Love Dads smoker as well. I'd done a roast pork in my smoker. Well worth the wait. Fantastic 👌
Fantastic episode Jed.. your dad's smoker is fukinfantastic, love it so much... really nice bark and smoke rig on the pork Oldmate.. Bag out on crays woohoo.. now if you ever need a decky and a personal chef, well you know who to call...can teach you my way of doing popcorn crays.. Looking forward to some more catch and cooks.. Cheers champion catch you on the next one ..🤙🤙
Cheers Mr Payne! Yeah it came out surprisingly good! Had it the next day in Turkish rolls and slaw which was even better! Yeah definitely mate, we'll try and tee up a mission 👍👍
Another great episode Jed. The smoked meat looked awesome.. You got onto an excellent patch of crays. It was a forest of feelers coming out from under those rock ledges.!!! Boat and motor look like they are going well. Just wondering would you swap some cray fillet for some garfish fillets.....asking for a friend!!!!
Hey there Simo! How's things mate? Yeah it's a great bit of ground through that area. There is either heaps there or nothing. Tell ya "friend" if he times it being in the west coast in Nov/Dec one year I'll give him the whole catch 🙌😅

Great videos mate. Always a good watch. What depth were you finding the crays here? Has been hit and miss for me this season.
Hey there Rob,
I usually hit ground early in season around the 12 to 15m then move in a bit closer in December.
Wheres all the footage of the Crays that got away? Ya cant catch them all.
Not many get past OldMates snare these days! 😅🦐🤺
