I''m a fan of Peter Hollens and his version of the song wasn't terrible, if still a bit more Disney-esque . This version reallly captures the essence of the antagonist Judge Claude Frollo (and by wearing the monks garb you rightfully reflect the fact that the original story was about a Priest - an Archdeacon). When I listen to this version of the song and watch the theatrics - you fully understand the darkness that lies in his soul. Obession, viewing a woman as an object to be owned and a willingness to kill her in a rather horrible way if he can't have her. It's one of the darker stories Disney has told - and this song nails it. Glad I stumbled on Tomi P.
I kind of get it. They tell the story as if Claude Frollo is the most evil being that has ever existed. Now I'm not hating on Catholic. However, you put a man of his position to disregard male chemistry, The body does what the body does. Things build up. The chemical signals in your body becomes stronger than your best intentions, and boom. Do not supress what your body is telling you. If you do, you become Claude.
I'll add on to this, and to preface, I've had this song on repeat all day and can only find one fault. The accent is off. I take it you're American so it's not a huge deal, but Frollo would be French and the original was sung in a British accent. I personally heard very American pronunciations with certain words. That's the only critique I have. Other than that, it was very well done and I commend you on your hard work. :)
I'm deceased. This is EXACLTY how I pictured a bass singer to sing this song. Full of dragon rage and sorrow. Reaction dropping tomorrow! You out did yourself here homie. BRAVO!!!

To the Man in the video Mr Tomi P. I have given my Fae Barbarian your singing voice. I looked for Bass singers and i fell in love with your voice. Keep going man!
I wish my English was better to describe what I'm feeling when I see (and hear) that Video. The deep voice acentuates the dreadfully dark desires to either possess or destroy so well, like the fragrance compliments flowers. Given the original story the cowl is so nice, especially because he fully hid himself behind his habit (emotionally, socially), just a dark glimpse of his true face. If a person with a dark heart falls victim to the desires s/he wants to deny the most, they start to really want to grasp the person that triggers them! Those denied emotions are often related to "weakness", like love, the dreadful emotion that can never be felt for it holds the key to so much despair and screaming. Childhood cries, once coldly stifled. Their own cries. So I feel the dark voice is so atmospherical, because children voices are rather high and a person like Frollo could never bear to reflect a desolate past. So isn't it nice that his voice gets deeper when he is confronted with these feelings he can't handle - just like the cries of his inner child? It's like he's running away, while he's unable to escape his desires. Because love can never be felt, it HAS to be desire.
I accidentally found you via random TH-cam recommendation thanks to watching Geoff Castellucci and Voiceplay and I’m so glad I’ve found you, you’re awesome

The C1 at 2:24 then 8 seconds later a C6 is amazing🤯
You were absolutely wonderful ❤ and that note at the end *whistles. Amazing! 😍
I love VoicePlay’s cover of this song; but this is beyond belief. Incredible! Exquisite! Powerful! This is now my favorite cover. Thank you.
There have only been 2 songs I've listened to that have left me completely stunned and shell shocked. This is one of them. Truly Amazing, man! Fantastic job!
ALRIGHT WHOEVER DISLIKED ISN'T BASS'D
Bass'nt
Everything I listen to this I have to remind myself to breathe! It's literally breath taking.
I showed this video to a friend of mine and I think he captured the essence of it perfectly. First thing he said was "Someone let a dire-tiger loose in the intro" and I'm bound to agree.
I’m about 12 seconds into this and yet again I’m amazed. This is so good! A classic Disney song too, I love it! You’re voice and talent is amazing!
I'm listening to this to relax enough to go to sleep. Also, this is the first time in a long time that has physically knocked the breath out of my lungs.
I could barely hear that last note, it was so freakin' low! Really cool stuff, looking forward to more music like this.
The fact you aren’t absolutely HUGE in the music industry baffles me. This song showcases pure talent and I will RIOT if you don’t get offered to sign to a major label soon 😤
Unfortunately TH-cam didn’t give me a notification that this was released but I’m so glad I was still able to check it out...great voice and so glad to see you grow! Keep it up bro
You should collab with Peter Hollens! Both of your accapellas are so cool!
you make this song come to life
