I already placed a comment but felt something was left out.. just wanna say ..Moe is so beautiful 😍❤️ her kimono her style, her radiant smile.. 😊 and along the same lines.. California is still beautiful it seems, at the right places after reading all the bad news about the state and tent ⛺ cities and rampant theft etc in Hollywood.. there's still much beauty in California too. Maybe it's where our eyes and mind keeps out focus at 🤓 Going through all kinds of hardshipss and life testing me its always a true breath 💗💗💗 of fresh air and positivity watching a Kimono 👘 Mom episode. They deserve all their success 🙏 and wishing them and Sutan all that is favorable in their lives.....❤❤❤ Greetings from a Dutchie 🇳🇱 Dave
The conversation with Sutan about the difficulty to learn English made me tear up. That was so sweet and empathetic! My parents were the same when I was a kid and I got bullied for not being able to talk to my classmates in English, but look at me now~ Sutan can do it! My parents saw me crying one day cuz I couldn't converse in English. So what they did, every dinner time for a whole year we had "English hour" and my dad kept throwing at me questions that I had to respond to in English. "How was your day?" and I only responded with "Good." After a year I could say "Well, it was okay I guess!" Then the following year it became, "Thanks for asking Tatay (father). I went to school today and it was tiring. We played volleyball in school."
In elementary school a kid from Poland came into our class. My teacher sat him beside me and told me from this day on, Thomas will be sitting next to you, he will be playing with you during breaks and you guys will do homework together. He was either staying at my parent's home or I was staying at his parent's home for homework. Within a year he was able to learn the language. Not just because of me but he was fully involved and integrated. That is how you solve such issue. People from other countries barely speak the language of the country they moved to because they tend to stay with their own kind. Get involved and it does not matter if you don't speak the language at all, you will learn the language eventually.
Yes! And hopefully Sutan can visit the Philippines one day! Maybe Kimono Mom can distribute their Umami sauce at the Japanese grocery store at Mitsukoshi Mall.
Conversely, I’m encouraging my 13 year old son to speak in Tagalog. He understands the language well, but daily gentle encouragement is bringing him out of his shell. ❤
As much as I understand people wanting to see Sutan, it’s indeed too much for a 5 year old, it’s good they gave her space. And yes, children can play even if they don’t understand each other, being in this position will aid her to learn the language and feel more and more comfortable with english speaking children/people. Letting her know you’re there for her and understand her frustrations will give her strength. Wonderful experience for all of you!
I like Moe's attitude towards Sutan. Both compassionate (not dismissing her frustration about not being able to speak English) and tough love (let her be uncomfortable mingling with the children for play). It may look diffcult now for Sutan, but she will be soooo well-adjusted in the future, confident, and empowered as modelled by Mama, despite the nerve-wracking experience. 😊

Just want to take a minute to say that Moto-san is an INSPIRATION💫!!! He is a great dad, stays fit, helps around the house with cooking and cleaning, plays with Sutan for hours, supports his wife like crazy, runs the Kimono Mom business strategy and operations like a BOSS😎, is willing to travel the world and meet tons of new people to help with their marketing efforts, agreed to live out of a van for a year (!!!)... And all with a never-ending smile on his face. Moto-san, I salute you 🫡. The world is lucky 🍀 to have you!!! 🤗
They are both amazing people and parents. I wish to find a woman like Moe in my life, she is so lovely, happy, beautiful and a great mother and wife. 🥰
Moe and Moto always say they don't know how to speak english, but whenever they speak it, it's perfect! You both are doing incredible. And Sutan too!! Be confident, you've come so far already. 😊 Excited to see more of your adventures!
Moe is speaking and understand English so well! And Sutan is learning fast and speaking clearly. She will be fluent soon- kids learn much faster than we do. Such a lovely family.
My heart goes out to your daughter. She is resilient. English not being my first language I can completely understand what she must be going through. She’s got this! You both are amazing parents ❤… making sure her feeling are being heard.
Listening to Moe and Moto talking to Sutan through her concerns and struggles was so beautiful, made me smile the whole way 🙂Keep going Sutan, you're basically half way there with 'please' and 'thank you'!
Sutan is doing so well and I love how you quizzed her so she realized she knew more English than she thought she did.❤ My 6 year old is autistic and did not speak at all until he was 4, and still speaks a lot like a much younger child, but he can still have fun with kids around his age and even older. This family in LA is absolutely awesome and love the Mom! She is just someone that seems to be a great person although always awake, caring and sincere. Truly wholesome.
She is so young, she will learn fast! I am a preschool teacher and I get students sometimes who do not speak English and they pick it up SO FAST! One little girl I had from China picked it up so fast that her parents had to ban English at home because she spoke so much English her Grandma couldn’t understand what she was saying!
Seeing all of you together as a family always makes me happy. And little Sutan is such a funny little girl with amazing sense of humor for one so young.
If I could speak Japanese I would hang out with Sutan the entertainer. That cute little kid has universal amounts of character. She’s growing so fast. She’s a smart kid. Moto and Moe are fine parents.

I couldn't imagine when watching moe on paulo that years later this would be the kind of video she would be making. It is incredible how much hard work and effort you can see moe and also her husband are doing for their family and business. I feel proud, and glad to be able to watch them all grow
Sutan already knows so many words!, congrats to her!! they can learn so quickly at this age if she's put in an english class or have with a private tutor she'd be speaking it easily next time she visits!
One thing I learnt as an English teacher to little ones is that they're sponges, they 'soak up' language incredibly fast! I bet Sutan was picking things up all along and it'll just all click suddenly! This was such a heartwarming video, everyone got along so well
Sutan is a wonderful child, and you are wonderful parents. You've given her a sense of self and purpose. It's reasonable to keep an eye on her social development! If she is grateful, hard working, and kind, she will do you and herself proud.
I love how you guys handled the situation. In the beggining Sutan was upset and insecure, by the end she was open, curious and positive about learning more words in english. Your content is really heartwarming! Much love from Brasil
It is difficult to watch our daughter or son have difficulties, but the language barrier will overcome with time. be strong to see our children go through this process.
I understand being nervous to order something. When I went on my first trip to Japan, I only knew a little Japanese and I was nervous to order food at a restaurant, but people were so nice to me and exited I wanted to try and speak Japanese. I find just practicing a little each day, and a few new words at a time helps ❤ Good luck family!

Watching this just brought me to tears!! これを見てるとき、泣きそうになった!! I am currently 16-- I was born in Japan but soon after moved to the US for a lot of my elementary school and now I am back in Japan. 今日本のインターで高校生ですけれど、この理由は小学校をアメリカで過ごしたからです。I was definitely more bilingual when I was younger, but as I have grown older, I can understand what people are saying to me in Japanese, but I struggle to fully communicate my thoughts back. 私は、ハーフで、日本語で全部ゆいたいことを普通言えなきってよくくやしくなる気分が渡ります。It can be so so frustrating not being able to have a full conversation with family and friends, and I know that my parents often wonder if they made the right decisions. To that, I just want to say that although it can be really challenging; as I have gotten older I have come to see how special and unique my struggles and experiences are and I know that Sutan will use this experience and probably many more to come and learn those lessons when the time is right for her. そう言っても、こうゆう経験についてすっごく大切なことだってもうともうと私が年取ると輪っかってきてる音です。 (Sorry, my Japanese is not the best but I tried!)
When still an adolescent at 16, one doesn't realize how much growth is yet to come, and how one's perspective and outlook will continue to mature and evolve. Being humbled in life may not feel comfortable, but it's never a bad thing.

Watching this just warms my heart! I have a little 4 year old girl at home and watching Sutan always reminds me of her! Good for you keeping her comfort in mind when exposing her to "meet-and-greet" type situations. But seeing her grow and learn English is sooo sweet! What a great family! I have been self studying Japanese for a little over one year now. Watching you teach Sutan some English is very heart warming. I love your channel and would love to meet you guys when you make your way to Texas. Arigatou Gozaimasu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

She’ll get it, tiny kids like that can pick things up fast, I believe in the little one ❤❤❤ even if there is a bit of anxiety, all it takes is a good connection with even one person ❤❤❤
It really is so intimidating speaking to others in a language you are learning! I admire your bravery! I am too nervous to speak Japanese to anyone in person. I hope I can step out of my comfort zone one day! 😊
Moe and Moto, you two are such wonderful parents. Very loving, patient, kind, yet firm and consistent with your beautiful daughter Sutan. She is being instilled many wonderful traits through you both. Thank you both for inspiring me. Go Sutan!!! Ganbarimashyo!
Being in a country where you don't understand the language is hard, especially as a child. Sutan is very brave! When I was little, my first foreign word was icecream. I was allowed to order that myself and it made me so proud. I really like watching your videos ❤
Such a beautifully honest video about the struggles of learning a new language… my first job when I finished university was as an ESL (English as a second language) instructor, and learning a new alphabet, sounds and words can be very challenging! Moe and Moto are doing a great job supporting Sutan and being honest about their own struggles and fears. There will come a day when words, phrases and sentences will flow as easily in English - trust me! Thanks for sharing your incredible story and your amazing videos! 😊🙏
Sultan’s English pronunciation is amazing! I’ve always heard that it’s easier for children to learn new languages, but it still surprises me how good Sutan has become. 😮 Edit: iPhone autocorrect 😑
I can feel Sutan’s frustration and desire to be good at this “speaking English thing”. I think she knows mama and daddy are good at things and are always proud of them but this English thing is rather difficult for them too. I hope you all have fun with it together! Lots of love ❤❤❤
What most struck me was that a lady said that she starteed cooking because she was inspired by you. That is the best compliment I guess you could get... Keep on going !
I know you worry about not spending enough time with her friends, but what you're doing is gratifying. 🥰Strengthening your family's bond and giving her many opportunities others can only dream of.😊 Plus one day she'll want to be with her friends more often so now is your chance to spend as much time and make as many memorable life moments as possible❣
Loved this. Sutan is doing so well with her English! You and Moto must be so proud. I loved how all the Kimono were so happy to see you. You have many supporters all over the world. I am from Canada and would love the opportunity to so you and taste your sauce.
Welcome Kimono mom & family to Southern Calif.! So happy you’re here in the U.S. sharing your cooking & family w/ us. Much success to you always. And arigato for always sharing your recipes!🙏🏼😘👍🏻
❤Love the whole video so much love you can feel from their interactions , the smiles from the kids to the adults ... ❤...thank you for sharing for I was captivated enough to feel happy too ... More success in every journey and continue to spread happiness the world needs it. ❤
Never give up, Sutan! The best things come when you work hard for them! You've already got a friend in Canada and you will make friends everywhere you go as you grow up, I'm sure. You are a fantastic kid and never forget it. 🐸🌱🌻❤️
It takes time to learn English. I came to Germany as a child from Ethiopia then moved to the US as late teen when my father's engineering job moved us here. Long story short, immersion via being in the language's country speeds up the process immensely. She's got this!
8 minutes into the video and I'm kind of tearing up. I know only 4 languages in total. I still remember my first day at first grade. I came from a small state school and didn't know any English (English is my second language). I felt inferior and also like an outsider. Even though we all shared the same native language they spoke English all the time and I felt like an alien. My mother made sure I got better language proficiency and communication skills within like a year😁 Almost a decade down the line, I am confident enough to say that I'm comfortable with English. I hope mama and papa and Sutan chan gets better in English❤ and please don't feel disheartened 🫂 Sending lots of love to the family 💗🌸 I feel so hurt when the parents said even they felt like crying at times. You can kind of hear the hurt and helplessness in their voice. I hope it all gets better🙏🏻🙏🏻 plus I admire them for being open and vulnerable infront of their child😭😭this shows a healthy functioning family😄 (My parents could never!!!)
You say you ONLY know four languages. That is accomplishment, something to be proud of, do not sell yourself short. Even someone knowing two languages, to me, is an accomplishment. I would have learned 3 ,English, my mother tongue I speak, but I took lessons on Hebrew, Russian and French, but i never stuck with the languages, which I wish I had. I know people say it is never too late, but being a senior citizen, there are disadvantages. But i do occassionaly, do simple quizzes to more or less exercise my brain.
When Sutan was younger, she said these words “Hi guys, welcome to Kimono Mom’s kitchen. I’m Moe and this is Sutan”! And she also said, “You wanna matcha latte, hmm”. Sutan is the cutest girl ever!
Hope that you loved southern California! Wish I could have come down from the valley where a lot of the fruits and vegetables are produced. Have a great trip!♥️

Good job Sutan! Learning a new language is difficult journey sometimes haha but its always fun when you can make new friends!
Thank you Nic! Wait.. Are you trilingual? Amazing!
@@KimonoMom haha yes! 🇸🇪🇬🇧🇯🇵 A lot of people in Europe are trilingual i think! Its the best way to explore new cultures 🌎
The same with Indians who speak two or more languages including English 😅
Hey, have you ever been to Tenerife?
@@KimonoMomvenden tu salsa en Mexico?
I love seeing how Moe and Moto praise Sutan. They do such a great job of building her confidence. Best parents!
Such a pleasure to spend time with you guys and see your world...Arigato 😊
Sutan お疲れ様です🎉❤ also Mika is very wholesome, she always remind her mom to keep update Su-chan’s mom🥺🤍 the whole video is heartwarming thank you for sharing Moe-san
Moe-chan, your English is very good!! And so is Sutan! And I didn't know Moto spoke some English too! I'm American and I only speak native English so my comment is very genuine 😊 Keep going!!!
Be patient with her.. she is growing in so many ways you’ll never be aware of as a parent. Love her unconditionally. ❤
Travel is the best teacher…it exposes you to different cultures, foods and experiences. Sutan is an amazing student! I look forward to sharing her future. She’s a kind, animated child, full of personality, wonder and love🤙🏼🌺❣️
Aww she is so precious! with exposure she will learn more. Kids brains are amazing sponges.
Sutan is such a princess she brings me so much joy and laughter! Thanks for sharing! I also like how you ended the video both of them look so adorable in the little wagon with their umbrellas
Learning a new language is hard, but Sutan will pick up on it quickly the more she's around English speakers! She's already doing so well (and so are you and Moto)!
So proud of you guys and your journey! Esp little Sutan for adapting so well in a new environment! ❤ all the best!

LA is not a safe place
そう言っても、こうゆう経験についてすっごく大切なことだってもうともうと私が年取ると輪っかってきてる音です。
(Sorry, my Japanese is not the best but I tried!)

Keep up the great work raising her Kimono-mom and Kimono-dad!!!
I hope Sutan knows how much everyone looks forward to seeing her❤ & all the food looked fantastic😋😋😋!!
I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!!! My two favorite is together in one vlog, KimonoMom and SamuraiMatcha!!! So COOL!!!!
I appreciate Moto cause he is veeery supportive and I can see how much he loves his family ❤
Good job, Sutan! 🤗 The two kids with her were so nice too. Hearing the “send it to Kimono Mom, okay?” was a total comfort to Sutan. God bless these three little angels 🥹🫶🏻👼
What a great family! I have been self studying Japanese for a little over one year now. Watching you teach Sutan some English is very heart warming. I love your channel and would love to meet you guys when you make your way to Texas. Arigatou Gozaimasu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
Everyone is super nice and sweet!! I almost cried remembering my host family in Massachusetts 😢
The family was very accommodating especially the kids and grandma taking care of Sutan. God bless the whole fam for taking care of Kimono mom dad and Sutan 🫶🙌🙌🙌🙌
She’ll get it, tiny kids like that can pick things up fast, I believe in the little one ❤❤❤ even if there is a bit of anxiety, all it takes is a good connection with even one person ❤❤❤
English will come to you by and by as you speak more and more each day. And especially in your year in America! Keep up the good work and spirit!
Sutan pretending to drive like her Papa in the grocery store was so funny! She’s so cute🥰
She’s a really brave kid, who has a strong character 😊
Yess WHY is Sutan so funny, I hope she keeps it forever ❤
Sultan’s English pronunciation is amazing! I’ve always heard that it’s easier for children to learn new languages, but it still surprises me how good Sutan has become. 😮
Edit: iPhone autocorrect 😑
Merci beaucoup 🙏 pour ce moment partagé rempli de gaité ❤ Merci de France 🇫🇷
Love the little cheer leader! She will conquer the world! Pete
you are so encouraging. Beautiful, kind parenting! Love your content so much.
Loved this. Sutan is doing so well with her English! You and Moto must be so proud. I loved how all the Kimono were so happy to see you. You have many supporters all over the world. I am from Canada and would love the opportunity to so you and taste your sauce.
I am glad Sutan isn't going to every market, it can be tiring for kids! We want to meet both of you. Congratulations on first farmers market :)
Good luck for everyone, don't worry Sutan you are such a smart girl in no time you can speak fluently in English ❤❤❤❤
It's ok Sutan! Smiles are an international language 😁🥰
The most beautiful and best family oriented video ever ❤
A very famous quote says: The start is half of the whole way! Sutan will make good progress very soon!👍🏻
Sutan has so much personality I love her❤
It takes time to learn English. I came to Germany as a child from Ethiopia then moved to the US as late teen when my father's engineering job moved us here. Long story short, immersion via being in the language's country speeds up the process immensely. She's got this!
Im glad Sutan has such a good mom and dad....so many people love her, but its good to let her be private too and enjoy being normal:)
Mon p’tit bout de chou de bébé sure qu’elle s’en sortira ❤
I'm proud of you, MOE, for stepping out of your comfort zone to learn new things better💪
Sutan is so amazing to pick up the language. She’s definitely can speak fluency and enjoy the life in U.S.❤❤❤
Sutan is so animated and charismatic. She is just adorable!!!
Sutan is so very adorable and she will always be remembered affectionately. I love you Sutan.
YAYYY NEW VIDEO
Sutan has grown so much! So smart
Sutan your English is brilliant. Keep practicing and don’t worry if you make a mistake. That’s how we learn. Well done ❤
I’m so proud of Sutan she is really doing so well for some kids it’s really hard but she is doing so good😊❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Incredibly impressed with how you overcame your fear in the market to order chicken. You are awesome and you and your lovely family deserve success. 🙏
I hope mama and papa and Sutan chan gets better in English❤ and please don't feel disheartened 🫂 Sending lots of love to the family 💗🌸
I feel so hurt when the parents said even they felt like crying at times.
Sutan, you're doing great for a 5 year old!
It doesn't matter, in time she will! The most important thing is to nurture your culture and traditions, which you do very well 💗💫
They are so sweet, well spoken parents
Kimono Mom family came to Orange County and I missed it! Have a safe and happy tour! Sutan is a sweet friend! Come again! ♥️♥️
Don't be sad little one! You will talk and play well with your friends soon!
Hope you and your family have a pleasant experience here and your business endeavor a tremendous success. ❤ May the Lord bless your family 10 fold.
When Sutan was younger, she said these words “Hi guys, welcome to Kimono Mom’s kitchen. I’m Moe and this is Sutan”! And she also said, “You wanna matcha latte, hmm”. Sutan is the cutest girl ever!
Don’t worry, she is smart kid. At her age she will pick it up faster to learn language. Plus both of you are loving parents 😊
Hope that you loved southern California! Wish I could have come down from the valley where a lot of the fruits and vegetables are produced. Have a great trip!♥️
Such a happy video ❤❤❤
O my Sutan it made me tear up to know that you are having difficulty to play with your friends! Sutan has such big feelings and emotions I feel! And mom dad is doing so so great all the best to you all 💝💝💝
Amazing vlog 🥹 Sutan is so adorable and funny. Everyone is so nice here ❤
This was lovely to see, Moe! Moto and Sutan will also improve their English and the three of you can communicate with people from all over the world! Good luck from Norway!❤
