I installed this on my Big Rock 6s, not expecting much difference, but I was surprised. I had to drop the punch one setting because it would flip over at times under hard acceleration. I also have Copperhead2 MTs for more offroad grip and one tooth up from the factory gear since the HW motor is 2000kv and the Spektrum is 2050kv. The thing pulls like a freight train. I bought 6 more for my other rigs.
Just installed this ESC in my Traxxas Maxx I love all the adjustments that I have now ran a whole pack full blast ESC and stock motor are nice a cool . Soon as the 2000kv motor is available it's going in .

Just put this esc with the 2600kv motor in my Kraton 4s and is a great improvement over stock. Got my Vitavon goodies for my 6s, thanks for the great service and super fast shipping!!!
I tried putting that heat sink on a 42 mm motor you can make it fit but it doesn't contact the whole way around so it's best to find a proper sized heasink
That fireteam body is approaching 2 pounds. Heavy as hell but that’s also what makes it so stable and able to absorb rough terrain through the shocks 😊
OKI have the fire team. I pulled the spectrum speed controller out of it and put the hobby wing 150 in it. Now. I can run 5S in my fire team. Keeping the front wheels on the ground with all the power planted. That's all you do is internally. Switched the hobby wing to run 5S only. The spectrum will not run 5 cell. It recognizes it as a 6 cell that is low on power and shuts the system down.
Great stuff! I just added the one size smaller version to change my big rock to a 4s system. I love it. I have a 17 tooth pinion and it Flys. I need to figure out how to add a bigger fan to the esc, if you have any recommendations. Appreciate you. Thanks.
First time seeing one of your videos and holy bawls I'm loving that track. I've been looking for new motor esc combo for my stupidly upgraded typhon mega that runs on 4s at this time. I'm ready to push 6s if some of the other stock parts can hold it. Rebuilt the gearing to all metal but I want titanium now. I keep tearing up my drive shafts I guess due to torque. I dunno. I'm new to all this. Anywho, good show matey
Is this noticeably quicker or faster than the stock system? I have left the stock system in mine because with the high speed pinion on, ear plugs in the center diff, and battery box moved back it'll wheelie at any speed. Just those little changes turned it into a completely different machine. Even better temps have never been a problem and I've ran it this way over a year now. I have been wanting to put this combo in something ever since it came out but I don't want to downgrade anything accidentally.

Yeah pain for me mounting escs , to mount them good I can’t swap them easily , when I don’t take chance ruining the esc , I recently had one of the sencored wires tear , I need magnify glass to see bc wires so small . So now I’ll use that esc in a rc with more space , it’s just too tight in the typhon to bash . I use my escs to point you be surprised they still work , 😂 ones that last wires desinergrates after time . Than I have many that didn’t make it long at all . Have to say hobbywing are the most durable , it’s rare they go prematurely,
@@ruuster83the fire team is a little longer then the kraton. It uses the Mojave 7th scale chassis. And it also has a rear e-break that the kraton don't. There really not that close of rigs.
Have you compared this to the original Max 8? It kind of looks like hobbywing moved the quicrun series to the original Max products with these new g2s.

I've been super impressed with my combo! The temps have been very impressive and it's got lots of power. The prices incredible for what you get.

Having any issues w the max8? i overheated it once in my Notorious but it rips otherwise

Get something 3s to see how you like it. Low simple maintenance and extremely durable. 6s will break more stuff due to the weight alone.

You can put a program card on it and bump them up. There is probably a small gear set up on it too.

So i have the first Kyosho inferno that my father give me 24 years ago. The engine is broken. Will this combo be good to my old 1/8 Kyosho inferno?
