Fav part of Lords of Iron is the hammer in the background. Simple & just a small part of it but that sound of the hammer hitting metal just fit perfectly into the song & made it sound very medieval

I did not know what folk metal was and these songs were my first approach. And I have to say, Kalevala is my favourite. Later, I listened Lords of Iron and the hype was on top. And then... Northern Steel... So epic!!! The hole album is an imagination stimulator, that teleport you to that cold and wide lands, where knights fighted for the kingdom, where wizards and orcs wandered between the woods, and dragons flew across the sky.
I have this on loop on really long work and gaming sessions. Just amazingly done
Not gonna lie. This is so beautiful. I listen to cinematic music a lot, but this gave me more goosebumbs than usual. Thank you very much for this piece of art. I will listen to it all the time while reading.

Listening all of these epic songs in my head all i see is me travelling all the areas at Skyrim while playing all of the songs killing all the leaving things come to my way and then battle all the dragons and then in the end of the journey hear last the Kalevala song as the day ends and after wakening on the morning starts put the Finan Kingdom song to begin again for another adventure ,dominus electus est rōmānum :)

Simply awesome music!!! Every track is astounding, but Kalevala is definitely my favourite, despite me having some Swedish roots!!! Finland is the source of some of the world's best music, and Martikainen is most definitely on this list!

Here we go again!! I am also a Trance Addict also I love music from the past.... Medieval etc..... and then this magnificent music came up on my notifications...... I have just really enjoyed the original and now it's time for this equally fantastic remastered version!!! Elation in Celtic and Scandinavian Steel Euphoria!!!❤❤❤
I personally prefer the original one, as it sounds a bit rawer that fits better in my style, but this one is also very good :D it has a nice depth and sacrifices a bit the guitarwork to make the symphonic parts sound clearer and sort of more layered, getting to that depth I mentioned
