For those wondering about the chests "inside" the wall, I think there's an explanation. The plate rooms are connected, You can even have a glimpse of this at 2:40 where You see the platforms from the room with the spikes behind those iron bars. You see the same iron bars from the other side at 28:10 and can even see the poison cloud. Since there are more than one similar room, might not be this exact one and the other chest on the wall that only appears at 37:05 proves this. You see 3 and not 4 because the actual reward chest only spawns when you enter the zone. Still a pretty neat design and attention to detail. Sorry to break those who tought it was a timegated thing. I think this is all We got and later We might get a legend version and a rotation of modifiers. Still a good activity to do solo and group imo, I'm enjoying it. Little tip for whoever is having troubles at solo, heal clip is a big help with these modifiers.
managed it in 100 minutes with 10 revives to spare, copying your build 1:1 and taking breaks to try to figure out what i was doing wrong. im a hunter main, took me until the 4th wave to realise what you were doing with the phoenix dive to proc regen, then immediately refreshing it from 3s to 15s with the ember. once i figured that out i was immortal for the last boss. very broken, surprised its been like this for 5 months. thanks
Holy shit a seasonal activity that’s designed well, difficult, and actually rewarding? Well I’ll be damned… This activity is already a top 5 more me. I wonder how it will change. It’s kind of like deep dives perfected
They make it “Scale on how many fireteam members there are” and yet will have modifiers like Togetherness which completely fuck with solo play. It’s completely backwards. They also make respawn times awful, in my first run of the coil since recovery times are so low, I spent 1:01:25 just to get to round 4 and die because the poison gas COMPLETELY STOPPED me from recovering my health. Awards are also awful unless you make it to THE VERY END.
Objectively false in that last count. They do a very good job that you get a good amount of rewards no matter how far you get. Excluding the very end, you have the opportunity to get a drop after each round plus 2 secret chests per round for a total of 9 before the very end. If you go platinum, you get 14 drops per run in total which is nuts
My random fireteam of three never got enough points to get any secret chests and also we used up our last lives in the final boss room without completing it. Felt like a big waste of an hour.
Took me an hour to solo every tier and I finished with three revives left. Absolutely miserable the whole way through and the rewards weren't worth the effort at all. Now I'm strictly doing tier ones and leaving afterwards. Yet another LFG or suffer for mediocre loot seasonal activity smdh.
You need to find all pots in the first path to open first hidden chest and get even more pots. If you miss it, then you won't get enough points for other chests too.
@@prometheus3375 Yeah, I saw several that had fallen down into an unreachable ravine. Seems like a major oversight on Bungie's design. Why not just ascribe points for smashing the pots or killing certain enemies? Why make them motes that can be unreachable? LOL Had I known that they could fall down and not be collected, I would have quit immediately and started over.
@@RomanPunchyBoy same 10 second cooldown for every HC. You just have to make sure your hand cannon matches your sub class type (kinetic doesn’t matter) and that it is fully reloaded before you pull it out with the buff

Maybe it's a timegated one, or the zone it belongs to is another one we already travel but is laid out right next to this one, I don't know. Drove me crazy so I took off my chest finder mod as I had already found all the doors for chests.

When I ran this solo, I got a line of dialogue from Riven near the very end. To paraphrase from memory: "You have rivals here, but no equal." Unless Riven broke the fourth wall to put that in my head after an hour, has anyone else gotten a similar line?
This season and its many portals, traps, and halls remind me of Crash Bandicoot. The levels are stupid. This should have been a destination season. Becuase the eggs should have been hidden in different places and on different planets. This is such a waste. Thanks Eso for the gameply, phenomenal as always.
this is super lazy game design: increase power differential until enemies are unkillable. Loot is sammy AF, old weapons new money. Bungoholio. Nothing against Eso great player and great vids but these seasons are groundhog days same LW raid same recycled assets for new season passes ofc.

this activity is MUCH easier solo than with 3 people. its scaled difficulty. as long as you play slow its a breeze

That was the second chest of the pathway. You get 2 chest rooms per path. However, I feel there's more to this as well (hoping).

You need to find all pots in the first path to open first hidden chest and get even more pots. If you miss it, then you won't get enough points for other chests too.

Yeah, if you have a chest/resource mod on your ghost it helps find the hidden chests.

It's kinda of a missed opportunity that there's not 5 rounds, and end on grandmaster (-25 power) lever difficulty
