just cut hay today with my 501 I have a 503 rake and a old 78 super hayliner baler with a 4 cyl wisconsin and a 1720 4x4 ford tractor. it works great just keep them maintained and no cobble jobs. treat them good and they will bale you lots of hay. great video nice ole 501 too. mine is a 6 foot sickle I would rather have your 7 footer... Just bought me a Ford 501 7' sickle mower. It seems to be in pretty good shape. Only thing is, is it's frozen and I can't freely turn it. Any ideas why it might be frozen?

I would take the pitman arm off first and see if its the sickle bar not moving or the pto and go from there
