    If you make painted versions available in your store, that’ll be awesome! I just don’t have enough confidence in my ability to paint these pieces LOL

      Definitely! Listings for painted versions will be come up slowly, but surely :)

    Great video production, and knowledge share with the content itself. One of the best vids I've ever seen about lego accessories and 3d printing.

    Nice work! As a fellow designer and printer of bricks, I can suggest that the layer mis-alignment is most likely due to insufficient supports (always the case with my prints); Try using heavy supports connected where they're least likely to be seen, in combo with light supports. Also, I see you're already rotating the parts on the Y axis, but try additionally rotating the part 10° on the X. (Or vise-versa.) Good luck!

    Have you thought about making a belt piece with attachment for a sword like on the lego piece used in pirates of the carribean sets?

    • @socalcrafter
      @socalcrafter  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I have! I do have one designed, but I felt it wasn’t unique enough to show/sell haha

    • @sand5282
      @sand5282 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@socalcrafter I think that it doesn't have to be very unique because they can just be used with more interesting armor

    • @sand5282
      @sand5282 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@socalcrafter maybe try doing it so that the attachment can be rotated to move the sword to side/front/back so that it doesn't hinder the arm articulation

    Is the minifigure model you use publicly available? And do you make your antistuds (for helmets) using booleandiff or do you use the value of the measurement?

  • @TundraStopMotion
    @TundraStopMotion ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's really cool, you put so much effort into your content, probably more than some lego stop motion animators (which is rediculusly (sry i'm dyslexic) difficult to do) and btw I bought 2 of the frog mouth helmets from your store today :)

      @@socalcrafter Np, and thanks for having resonable prices, I feel like a lot lego castle seller will charge littterally $40 for 3 plain black falcon figures. ( I did visit a site where a seller had those prices), It`s absurd, but once again thank you for creating great products! I may end up using them for Stop Motions, and I`ll give you credit for the design and will link your store and channel, when and I begin working on a lego castle animation. And I know there resin, so I`ll be sure to be careful ;)

    Is resin toxic or do you wear a mask when printing? Just saw another video on the potential downsides to resin printing?

    • @socalcrafter
      @socalcrafter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep! For safety, a mask would be great. The cautions people give are warranted, and it can often times turn people away from the hobby. But, with a dedicated workstation, it’s not as daunting as one may describe it :)
