These updated guide is a great idea. The way veterans like me played massively different compared to newcomers today. For example, each time a player got hit by a tornado, both of the mobs gets significant evasion buff. Players with low accuracy was not able to hit the mobs when that happened. Which caused so many wipes backs in the day.
Hmm interesting. At least I was aware that the weather mechanic was a 'new' addition to the fight. I didn't notice any impact from the tornadoes so I guess that part was removed. But yeah the majority of these early game fights are quite easy. Only Thok ast Thok has been a real fight thus far. Well that and The Chrysalis which reminds me I need to do a guide for that.
No problem Jordan. The thing I hate the most about watching guides is when they talk and don't show - it does nothing to help my confidence with the encounter, especially if the thing is important. I will always make sure to show everything from every angle so as to try and leave as few questions as possible before someone loads in. I'm glad to hear it's appreciated!

Great job on these guides! I use one every time I reach a dungeon/raid quest in the main story line. Much more helpful than the older guides which go into great detail on mechanics I never even see. Really helps me plan as the healer for the group. Hope you have covered the rest of the content I am headed for!
My friends and I justt picked up XIV and we've been powering through content to get ready for the newest expansion. Your videos, for me, have been a Godsend. I'd love to see more content from you on dungeons and trials.
Hey that's neat. I will keep churning them out but most players will go through the content that I cover rather quickly. Eventually it would be nice to cover at least all of the MSQ dungeons and trials but it will take a while to get there, I'm not even finished with Stormblood MSQ yet myself.

out of curiosity, why should everyone - including ranged DPS - get on his back? what benefit does it offer? after all you just mentioned it causes some damage to everyone standing on it

As far as the weather goes, I think that was added to the fight at some point (which explains it not being covered in guides if the guide is old enough). On the topic of jumping off, I'm not sure. I guess no one wants to fuck up and die because they didn't jump back in time. But of course I did that science for you and can confirm that it's not needed.
