@@kendraskaboodle5007 Dresscodes are shit period. You shouldnt be sexualizing small children OR teenagers as a grown ass adult. Especially given boys almost NEVER get dress coded but girls are policed on what they wear in school so much more strictly.
When my daughter was in elementary school (ages 6-10) they called about her being in yoga pants stating that it was inappropriate and distracting. When I questioned how a child her age could distract anyone, and advised that I wanted to know who she was distracting because I was going to contact the district and let them know that that person needed to be investigated, and that I would be doing my own investigating (I was and still am a Paralegal, which I reminded them of), there was dead silence on the other end. I also pointed out that my step-daughter had worn the very same yoga pants just the week before. Thereafter, every time I dropped off my daughter at school, I called the office to report every single teacher that had on yoga pants and questioned why I got a call about a young girl (going to elementary school), but that grown women were coming to "work" that way. @@realchiknuggetsI mean, it was a slight bit of narcissism, but also, she’s trying to highlight just HOW off the wall and odd some of these dress codes are. And their reasoning makes no sense. If everything is covered, wtf does it matter if a boy’s shorts don’t go past their knee (like the bottom, kneecaps be long AF). I’m using the male dress code because I was dress coded almost daily for having shorts that went to the halfway part of my kneecap, so not quite in regs, but who TF am I distracting, or disrupting by wearing that in the Texas heat? Also I liked to run, and it restricted my movement a bit if my shorts went any lower. I’m using my experience because idk what state she’s from, or the typical female dress code. I do know it’s dumber than the typical male dress code though.
My 7th grade science teacher would dress code girls right and left. He got caught using the projector to watch "corn" while relieving himself during his planning period. He was fired and a week later hired by a school in the next county over. Anyone distracted by children's clothing should be investigated regularly by undercover police. As horrific as it is, I'm sure there's more to his story that no one discovered.
One of the people campaigning to be the principal at my old high school was just discovered to have left his last school after being on paid leave for a month due to an internal investigation. He also curiously never mentioned this to anyone on the review board, it only came out because a local paper talked about it in an article about the “meet the candidates” night that he was planned to attend. Luckily he has since been removed as a candidate. Annoyingly because of the state laws the school isn’t allowed to say what the investigation was about or what they found, but I have heard/read that it was about “inappropriate relations”

I'm hijacking your comment for visibility so I can enjoy the absurd logic and opinions tossed at me from a society that's developed a laissez faire attitude towards cultural decency and humility. Why is the 6 y/o being dress coded in this hypothetical? I would assume because the skirt is too low as mentioned was a skirt. The dress code is there for a reason to push away such extremes, and encourage proper dress/behavior for the setting. Why has the general perception become one to think its okay for a 6 y/o or ANY girl/women in public to dress like a wh.ore/ be "pretty" or whatever term youre going to use other than wh.ore to justify it. America has become a place where all original, standard objective morals commonly found elsewhere in the world has been thrown out the window for extreme subjective moral relativism to accommodate freaks and degenerates, and only promote deviant mindsets. You're all emotionally and intellectually stunted by this farce of a culture that has rejected reality/pragmatism, and can only raise my children to stand against such absurdity so that when they're grown I can move to a superior country :^). I truly have an intense disdain for 90% of you fellow humans. Thank you for reading, and let me read some truly stupid opinions for entertainment; as I'm sure you feel the same for mine. Have a good day.

So the trend of women not being able to measure length continues since a $1 bill is dimensionally the same as a $100 bill.

My favorite part was “she’s a lawyer, - keep that in mind”😂
And... as lawyer...my first my attack would be...did the parents know and sign the codes of conduct provided by the school??? Did the parents check the dress before the child was dropped off??? Who's responsible for those actions???? He sister would loose that case. AND if I were the administrator, I would kindly invite those parents to find another school for their child. And to never threaten my staff for enforcing school standards. GOOD DAY!!!!
@@toddtaylor4649first of all, she wouldnt be able to even represent her daughter/sister in court. (At least not where I live). Second, it's just weird to defend that, like, a 6 years old shouldnt be destructing anyone. Not in a sexualized way.
It's a kid! And kids at this age wouldnt be feeling other kids that way! It's more likely grown as$ men
@@kirakookie agreed, as the conflict of interest would keep sister from representing as counsel. But let's look at everything else I said and add a new twist. What if the teacher for the same stated reason of dress code violation was female??? Btw in the ps I went to the dress code was for distraction...not sexual distraction. ie. If I had gotten a purple mohawk I would have been forced to get a buzz and Re-color as it would have been a distraction.
@@toddtaylor4649it's a shame that ur a lawyer, and ur fine with the teacher saying a 6 yr old kid that she's distracting.

Just had this discussion with my two daughters last week. My 8 year old asked what rules the boys had… she got ALL fired up when it said “no hats”. That was it.
Well to be fair if they made clothes skimpy for boys there probably would be dress code stuff for them. Girls shorts barely cover the necessary bits....boys its past their knees.
@@brittanyragon6033 they do make skimpy clothes for boys. Wife beaters? A lot of the shorts nowadays are short. Yeah, boys can wear whatever the fuck they want because this is fucking misogyny
Is it maybe because boys are usually fully covered already?
@@brittanyragon6033” barely covers the necessary bits”. What are the necessary bits girls knees? We’re talking about small children here not like teens who wear booty shorts. No small child should have to worry about if their knees or thighs are showing, their just legs at the end of the day.

To be honest- if a teacher is getting distracted by any student's outfit they shouldn't be within a three mile radius of a school.

I teach first grade. Any time someone says something about a kid in my class being dressed "inappropriately" I simply say "they're seven. If you are sexualizing them YOU are the problem." I'd rather them be at school than sitting at home because all they had to wear was leggings.
This exactly! When I taught elementary school, the only dress code "violations" were due to dirty, soiled, or weather-inapproriate clothing.
Dam right
Thank you for teaching ❤
Yes! I teach middle school and dress code is a bit more important to enforce at that level.
But, my kiddos are in elementary. If I got a call about leggings, I would pitch a fit! Do they not understand that not all children can wear regular pants? My girls are so tiny that jeans fall down CONSTANTLY! Lol. If you think elementary children are distracting because of how they are dressed and everything is covered, you shouldn’t be in education!

Made their life miserable.

@@realchiknuggets what? that’s not narcissism

Isn’t the last part excessive ,regularly by cops what if the distraction is a light up bow or something of that sort
@@mithicvgc9824 lol children getting molested and sexualized by their teachers but we really gotta figure out the problem with the light up bows
As a veteran uniform wearer, this is facts.
That is so disgusting
