@Kylo Ramon Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
We're a progressive metal band, but I continually tell anyone who will listen (and some who won't) that this is not only the GREATEST DISCO song of all time, but an absolute masterpiece across any genre! Everything about it is truly unbelievable; the arrangement, the musicianship, the changes, the vocals, the complexity...And let's not leave out the obvious, it's over 15 minutes long, and you not only never get bored, but you're sad when it's over! I was thrilled when I was able to pick up a mint condition copy of it on vinyl about 10 years ago! More people need to spread the word about this amazing treasure! It's a shame it's not nearly as well known as other far inferior songs of its era!
I was a high school student that year and when I herad this music and saw the greatest hustle dancer going at it with this melody it was magic. I fell in love with the song and the dance. at 16 year olds
....My Mother used to LIVE at "Studio 54" and used to go in (handmade) Gold lame' Disco outfits, and became known as "The Golden Lady"...She bought this LP at Titus Oaks (Downtown Brooklyn, NYC), and I was TRANSFIXED!! ..The cover, the Orchestration...I can't even IMAGINE '1978', without this LP....
I was a kid living in Brooklyn , NYC when this came out ,14 years old to be exact , too young to go to the Discos back in 1978 . How the years have gone by , seems like yesterday .
I lived it & dj’d for 7 yrs during the disco craze. This was by far the best disco song to dance to hands down. Danced every minute of it. Talk about being in shape!! While this song was playing would leave my cove & go dance on the floor with others. Dance wise.... the best 7 yrs of my life. Still listen to reel to reels’s of the disco music I recorded while working! If you call it that. Summer, Hernandez, & on & on!! Would re-live it in a heart beat!!
Just found this song. Oh my God the memories growing up in New York in the Disco era. I had so much fun and so many wonderful memories. One of the best disco songs ever.
+Dan Smith This was the 1st 48 track recording ever made. And this is not the full version...it is just the first two acts. The flip side of the LP has acts 3, 4 and 5, which in my opinion are the best parts of the song, which is over 30 minutes in total.
This is the best disco classic masterpiece I've ever heard! I am glad my cousin introduced this to me way back in the 80s, when I was a kid, I never get tired of listening to this track!!!
70's memories were stirred up big time when this song came on the radio yesterday. I had to find it on here. This was one of my favorite jams back in 1978 and 1979. An awesome hustle song. By the end of the song , with switching partners, with guys cutting in, I may have danced with 5 or 6 different dancers during this one long song. I loved every minute of it. Thank you!
I discovered this song today. In my humble opinion this song has one the best arrangements in the history of Disco Music. Thrilled to see other expressing their sentiments for this masterpiece. If you like this song, please say your country.
+Chubby Chaser One of my favorite songs from my high school days, I was 17 then and times were great for this kind of music, clubs, dancing and discovering what life was all about. *grin* I'm glad you discovered this song now than never. Anthony, 55, America. ;)
My dance partner, Michael & I won 1st place at a dance contest with this song. It was Awesome cause we danced against couples from as far as Sacramento down to L.A. We of course were representing San Diego. We won an all expense paid vacation to Cabo San Lucas! God how I MISS DISCO MUSIC! IT HAD MEANING, FEELING & A GOOD RHYTHM...NOT LIKE THE CRAP THAT IS BEING PLAYED NOW.
I just wanted to say that this song is my favorite song of all time disco nothing compares to the emotional state I feel when I hear this disco classic

It simply has to be the quarter of an hour version!! As you say a true Disco masterclass from Alec R. C & Don Ray. The orchestration is a joy. Timeless

This was a Disco Classic that was longer than 15 minutes and every time you danced to it you never wanted it to end. Studio and The Cops played it over and over.
I remember hearing this for the first time when I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC in 1978. We’d hang out at the Wachovia Bank Building on Friday’s for our weekly dose of disco.
I remember falling in love and dancing hustle with my childhood sweetheart to this song like it was yesterday. Can still recite the song word for word. Roseland, Bonds, Garage. Wow what memories.
I lived it and danced to it every night at the disco. DJ’d for 7yrs. Best 7 yrs dance wise of my life. Ones who said disco sucked were just jealous cause they couldn’t dance. Don’t know what they missed!! Just to be a Cinderella, & go back one night!!!

I was 13 when this album came out and absolutely loved it. I was determined to memorize the lyrics and did so. This caused a problem with my older brother and I since he owned all the records back then and I was not allowed to play them when he was home...lol My poor parents and our downstairs neighbors...Good times in WNY....
I use dance this with my friend Elyse at AnotherWorld on Ave H and Coneyisland Ave in Bklyn i know i can and would Dance Again Right now im in Vegas Love it. But i Miss Dancing I Still Got It Love Maureen
