Totally agree that it needs more comic vendors. Especially trade paperbacks. The stuff they sell there now is usually expensive stuff for hard-core collectors. Also it was wonderful to meet you at the con! Thank you for taking a selfie with me! (I was starman.)
@@ProsAndConsLive It is a very striking effect when it's done well, and it is difficult to do so. The Nightwing issue pulled it off superbly. There are precedents for it in much earlier art - medieval and Renaissance painting and even more ancient stone carvings, although not as purely action as in modern comics. Will take this opportunity to state that I find your two comic-oriented shows to be essential watching. I'm a 73-year-old fan of comics, and you cover most of the bases of interest. For instance: love it when (in Comic Tropes) you do readings of crazy 'Golden Age' comics (and I know there are plenty of those) and here you do solid work with interviews and news and the issues that pop up. I am truly grateful for your work.
Bummer! I missed the Comic Jobs panel with you, Valentine, Zack, and folks! Glad I got to see you on the floor though. Thanks for telling folks about Harrow County, Lonesome Hunters, and the Comic Book Cooldown!
Marvel’s Godzilla King of the Monsters comic book is the title that introduced me to comic books back in the late 70’s and was the very first comic book I collected the entire run. To this day I can pass up on a Godzilla comic book.
Because of work, I rarely get time to watch these streams on Monday but damn do I ever love watching them later in the week! Great job with your interview, love Mr. Scioli’s work. Would you ever consider releasing an audio only version? I know that most streams wouldn’t translate as well, but driving for a living, I’d love to have this as a podcast

Thanks for introducing yourself. Great Starman outfit.
The first time I heard about the De Luca effect was when you were talking about a Nightwing comic which (as I recall) used it throughout the issue.
Right, right. I knew I had gone into it somewhere. When done properly, it’s masterful. Amazing control of pacing and guiding a reader’s eye.

Thanks for shouting out Relic Hunter and CLP Chris!
My pleasure!
Great to meet you Chris, I'm sure we'll run into each other again since we're neighbors!
Yeah, thanks for the fun day. Congrats on that Dan Parent commission.

I love these things so it’s fun to share. Thank you so much for introducing yourself. It was a great start to my convention experience.
Gou Tanabe's adaption is beautiful!
You've also talked about the De Luca effect in a short video called "Comics Without Panels".
it’s the crossovers to end all crossovers.
It was my privilege to speak with Tom. He’s great.
Tom's TH-cam channel, Total Recall Show, is also pretty good.

I’ve got a video about that wild run my channel Comic Tropes.

I’ll look into it.
I think I'll grab the tpb for Ultimates! I've been getting the singles for Ultimate Spider-man, but will change from now on.
