There's a few 865 Royal Enfields knocking around already, both in in the US and Europe, but this has to be the best I've seen yet. Congrats to the builders.
Beautiful!! Every passing day my love for a GT keeps on increasing. Especially a customized one. There's this image in my head how I want my GT to be. Hopefully the day I'll own a GT isn't too far away.
A lot of these being done in Australia now the 865 bore, recluse cluch and open headers really makes the RE 650 an awesome all rounder and sounds fantastic also, its still considered a small bike here even after the upgrades but really well balanced enjoyable bike.
Honestly, no one will ever ever ever know that it’s an 865cc engine. Its engine looks completely stock. Perhaps you can put the 865cc kit with the same exhaust and just add USD forks with dual disc brakes, the bike will look 90% stock. And will look super awesome.
Great to see sll the customizations available in India today...back in the day we had no choices and relied on home made stuff to modify our 100cc bikes lol...looks like a lot of fun...the mc scene has definitely changed for the better...enjoy 👍
Personally, this is a bit too flashy for me. Obviously, the owner of the bike liked it so tats what is important. There's a company in Birmingham, UK called Hitchcock motorcycles which does the same thing. They've dyno'ed their 865cc interceptor at 65bhp & increased low end torque. They even make their own camshafts. The exterior look is almost completely stock & their fit n finish is amazing. Do check out their video on youtube! If RE releases such big bore bikes in India, it's game over for triumph & Harley's. Can't wait for the day to see a 1000cc royal Enfield putting out 75bhp with plenty of torque mass produced for 6Lakhs. Hopefully, that day is not too far!
Yep, the engine kit for sure, but the other touches like the triple clamps, brake kit etc. are what sets it apart. I'd have had black calipers myself, but it's a cool bike....
Is there any other mechanical changes apart from increasing the bore size? What about the power figures is there any difference cause i think it still runs the same gearing ratio as stock.
@@randommosaic7080 this might have problem during continuous ride in summer time for long distance....Piston ring, valve seat, alternator, big & small end connecting road & crank shaft bearings....those are the parts which are directly affected by heat....

This was first done by Revelry Cycles [based in Sydney, Australia] over a year ago. Even tho this wasn't Ricochet Motorcycles' own idea I'm so glad someone is finally doing this in India. The kit costs the equivalent of ₹59,000 in the US which is honestly a bargain so if one has someone coming back from the US who can get it with them then that will be a huge cost saving. The to-wheel figures Revelry Cycles got on the dyno were: *75.98* HP @ 7,400 RPM (still climbing as it hits stock rev limit) *77.54* Nm @ 6300 RPM THESE ARE FUCKING AWESOME.
It sounded great at 650 with my S&S exhaust but at this 865 I must have this mod !!! My mech has not gotten the right Equipment to do the work but he is planning too, I can’t wait!!
Great mod. but one comment - the right angle bend would create an exhaust flow obstruction and perhaps a drop in engine power, a more gradual bent may perform better!
Good comments and while making such an improvement it will also be necessary to remap the fuel injection system on a Dyno to take advantage of the (probable) improved efficiency …👍

Heya Bike with Girl. I would like to get this done on my GT650. But I wanted to know if the change makes a difference to the power from a stock or not.
I was really interested to buy the interceptor 650 but the handling was not what I expected. It felt so heavy at the front, the bike was not agile. The front end was like it was sinking and the deceleration was a bit more than I expected I’m still skeptical about it. Because the agency had this 650 to feel suspicious, maybe it wasn’t tuned right. Can you guys give me some perspective?
