- On my last video • Patriot Defender Exhau... I've modified the sound switch on the exhaust. Not happy with the result, I made this modification inspired by the Jekyll and Hyde Exhaust electric switch to change the sound.
Thanks to Firgelli Actuator linear servo and 5 pin universal power window switch, now my Patriot Defender Exhaust can also change the sound electrically.
Happy with the results.

That's killer. I want to buy that exhaust system for my bike but I'm having trouble finding em in stock, anywhere. Kickass mod man. If I get a set I'll probably do the same thing!

I been looking and I will try eBay. I'll have to make em fit, I got a rigid mount 99 and I haven't seen em sold specifically for the older bikes but ik people have em on them so I'll have to make it happen

capskie When I get my Iron in the near future I think I'd also go with those pipes so far I like the sound out of it best compared to others I've heard on youtube.
Zshiro so far I'm happy with the pipes bro. The black version is good, but the chrome one are kind of easy to change color to goldish cause by the heat.
capskie Yea I'd stick with the black too because of the discoloration from the heat on chrome, and black looks more badass. Digging the pro video you made a year ago looks like a commercial for the Iron 883. Which editor did you use?
Zshiro hehehe, thanks bro. That video was shot with Canon 60D with manual old Canon FD Lens f1.4 edited using Final Cut Pro software on Mac. Just for fun ^^P
What did you do as far as mapping the fuel delivery? Since you are going in between open and closed you are gonna be too lean or too rich in one of those settings correct?
I used mapp setting for python 2 to 1 exhaust. Because I only close the butterfly during at night when I entering the neighbourhood in slow speed so it doesn't effect much.

Bisa banget bro, you can find it on ebay. There are 3 version of this exhaust. The black one, the chrome one and the black & chrome combination. If I'm not mistaken, the black exhaust is US$445. the chrome one is $100 cheaper but not recommended because the chrome will turn to goldish after a while.
The shipping cost to Indonesia arround $110 - $120 via USPS but that was year ago. Not sure for present day.
I don't know about Thunder Header bro, so I'm not sure.

bayu kresna tinggi gw 170cm, berat 81kg... masih cocoklah pake Sportster. Paling enak sih coba duduk di Iron trus foto. Keliatan deh cocok enggaknya. Kl stang sih tergantung selera dan mau dibawa kemana konsep modif motornya. Kalo mau nyaman bawanya sih lebih ke ape hanger. Posisi footstep jg pengaruh ke enaknya duduk. Kl standar (middle) pake stang drag & bawaan pabrik cocok. Kl pake forward control enaknya pake ape atau mini ape hanger (posisi touring).

heheh.. galau sama stang aja sih sebenernya... ngeliat2 di youtube lebih keren yang pake dragbar, tapi gak tau nyaman apa gak.. motornya sih mau saya pake harian sama touring. kebanyakan sih kayaknya touring, saya sering keluar kota, dan saya gak suka mobil. heheh... and one last question, irit gak, full tank untuk berapa KM?

From a Harley's dealer. Its quiet difficult to find OEM item out side the dealers.
But a lot aftermarket product that similar to it on the web. Try ebay. ;P

You can buy the actuator on actuonix(dot)com. For the rest item you can find it in every auto accessories store. To see how to connecting the wire on the universal power window switch, brows on google, its all there. Goodluck.

The butterfly is a built in with the exhaust though. The brand of the exhaust is Patriot Defender. Its the exhaust that has capability to switch the sound from loud to quiet because of their butterfly system but it has to be switch manually. What I do here is customized the manual butterfly switch to electric by using those small actuators and power universal window switch. =)
