Have you tried shooting with a super-telephoto lens? What's your favourite thing to photograph?
I have a 100-300mm i use on my canon m50 mark ii, i love shooting birds when i have that lens with me. Also when can we expect the Gugliotta podcast to come out?🤔😁
I have an a 800 f/11 for my super telephoto and it’s… not the greatest but it works well for closeups of minor league baseball games
@@BrodyTroyerOfficial 😉😉
Yes, mostly for surfing, line ups and waves scapes. 100-400 ii on an APC DSLR (640mm) or on a R6ii with a convertor if I don't need as much reach.
Just recently bought a Canon 100-500 L, took it to the zoo on my R5, and thought I was getting great shots (according to my camera LCD)... brought it back to lightroom, and now feel my focus was off... I also may just need more learning time in Lightroom
Can you try to go to a airshow?
I've done them in the past but never posted a video! It might be time!
@@AnthonyGugliotta yes please do it
@AnthonyGugliotta bro I beg upload some with a few tips.
@AnthonyGugliotta You should do sun n fun next year in FL. It’s the biggest air show in America
@@AnthonyGugliotta Yes please do the video
Roller Coasters, Aviation, and compressed railroad photography too! I’m huge into coasters!
aviation is a huge for me
Love this! Your vids keep getting better and better!
Are most of you guys left eye dominant or is it just more comfortable to shoot with the left eye?
Videos like these makes photography videos on TH-cam more interesting.
As a sports and wildlife photographer, i couldn't imagine losing my 100-500 lens and have found it to be great for candid event photos as well! My 800mm is certainly more restricting though
I have a Sigma 150-600 mm C and I use it basically daily around my garden-property to shoot photos of birds and some landscapes. Recently I used it to shoot a horse race and the photos turned out super pro. It was kind of a risk purchasing it, not knowing if I would use it as much to justify buying it (I did wildlife photography before buying it so it was quite clear that I needed a super-telephoto lens) but now I know it was 100% worth it. I can't imagine my life without it now😅 Btw love this type of videos!
I love shooting with super teles. I currently have a Sigma 100-400 for Sony FE.
Great group collaboration! Thanks/
love my Nikon F 200-500 and had some amazing shots of the moon over the 2 or so years. I've had it! But I need to try it on some wildlife and animals next!
What makes you choose a canon r6 mark 2 with this lens rather than using a canon r5. Just curious? Love the videos keep up the good work for real love everything you do!
Beautiful!!!!!
My second favorite Canon lens. I bought it for an Alaska trip last year.
That's a perfect use for that lens! 😉
Just wow that's amazing brother love your videos brother assaali from Kenya Mombasa Africa
I’ve been doing aviation photography recently which a super telephoto is great for.
Currently have the Canon RF 100-400mm but would love to have the 100-500mm.
Ohhh! That's a great use for a super telephoto!
Just did the Dayton Air Show with a Sony a6000 and the 70-210. Definitely couldve used more zoom for that. Still had fun and got a few shots in proud of
Please make more video like this that was a really good video
Absolute beginners work. What you need is the Nikkor 1200-1700mm f/5.6-8P for that true telephoto experience
Hey Anthony, I've been wanting to buy an RF Lens, but I am struggling to choose from the Canon RF 14-35 f/4 or the 24-70 f/2.8. I wanna use this lens for video work such as concerts, Shows, Events, etc. Could you please help me decide 🙏
Why did you post this, I am already on the edge about buying it
I think u should use bigma for super telephoto lens
the wobble on this video is insane lol I seen someone talkin about Canon forcing IBIS and lens IS to go by itself and how it could potentially be a problem especially at wides, and BOY you have shown that. I guess you might be shooting on one of the big three most likely the R5, so it makes sense. I was shooting with the RP at 1080p (sadly no good 4k of course) with 14-35 f4 and had zero wobble with decent lens IS on the recording. I know IBIS and IS combo is supposed to be better in theory but man if that wobble is my reward for having a beefier camera, I'll let my cheaper RP stay my video camera or upgrade to an R8 so I can shoot 4k without IBIS.
edit: I reached the part of the video where you mentioned the person filming is using a fuji camera but my statement still stands. this camera and lens both might have IBIS and that's what may be creating that insane wobble. yall colors are amazing though so clearly not an issue of skill but tech, which I HOPE they figure out how to let IBIS and lens IS work better together
Not even noticing it cause i was so into the video
I got a super tele, a Sigma 150-600C on my Canon R7. And I've been meaning to go to the Toronto Zoo since getting it over a year ago. That and the airshow. I use to be able to go to the zoo for free when my work did a company family day event there...no longer now.
I used to go all the time as a kid, but now as an adult with an actual camera I enjoy it waaaaay more!
@AnthonyGugliotta
Ditto, I do appreciate it more as an adult walking around with a camera. But it's too bad I can't go as often as I did before COVID now. Especially since I now have a wildlife setup.
10:24 Have yall never heard of the penguins of Madagascar?
I love my 100-400 on Sony aps-c for birds
Already got a 70-300mm ef is usm l and bougt it for 500 bucks.
Did i do a good deal?
I was never satisfied with the RF 70-200mm. On the short end I’d just rather use my 50mm 1.2 and for compression shots having a reach up to 500mm is awesome. The 100-500 replaced my 70-200 and 100-400 for about the same price, but the quality is definitely superior.
So, in the introduction, what is the other white lens that the fourth person who runs across the frame using? He's in the University of Southampton Basketball shirt. Is it a Canon lens as well?
A 900 mm f8 catadioptric lens on a Nikon crop sensor camera fits in the super-telephoto category?
Hi! Haven't found anywhere to write to you so I'm writing here. I'm looking to get into photography, maybe not so seriously but more of a hobby that you can develop along the way. I have my sights set on the Sony a6400 and the kit lens that comes with it (18-55mm I believe). Would you say it's a good option or do you have any other suggestions in the same price range? I have decided to go with Sony as it feels like it suits me better.
Sounds like a good bet
It’s as good as starting combo as anything else out there Photography is more about composition and lighting. Master those and it won’t much matter what camera you use. Don’t master them and it also won’t make a difference what camera you use.
2:51 how did does these things how can you remove the fence how does it how .
Man switched thumbnail and title, I see you Anthony 🤓
😛 I always have at least 2 options, you never know what's going to work better 🙃
@@AnthonyGugliotta aye I respect it, gotta stay on top 🫡

I'd love to see a street photography video with a super telephoto.
I done one with the Sony 70-350
That would be madness
Can i buy that other guys Lens? the one selling
Suggestion Watch Olle Nilson for doing actual wildlife photography
Vs Nikon 28-400mm f4-f8?
First this lens i dream it i love it canon RF 100-500mm but i can't get it why the mounting can't support it.
What is the mount that can't support it? Are you using an ef mount?
@@adventure9606 for example it an EF MOUNTING
rare footage of him usin lens hood:
I think that's a super telephoto lens
My guy clearly never seen penguins of Madagascar😂😂😂😂
What phone do you use???
WHy does this lens is more than 2400 USD??
I really like your videos man, but why do you support zoos?
due to a shooting in a zoo, I will never watch your videos anymore. I don't know how one can shot photos in a zo where the animals are psychological ill. Why not Wildlife? Maybe because it is to much of a change for you xD
I'm not sure if this comment is meant to be funny, but the Toronto Zoo does incredible work to promote wildlife conservation and the preservation of and re-introduction of endangered species. Not only is it the largest Zoo in Canada, but one of the largest and most spacious in the world. I have photographed wildlife in the past and would happily do so again in the future if the opportunity presented itself.
Very strange comment Dark hunter!! This video was funny and informative!! Not sure what your issue is.
Nikon still rules.

Lense wise yes. Camera wise no
If you can’t make excellent images with any of the major brands cameras released in the past 4 years it isn’t the camera’s fault. What really makes greats photographers is experience. And you can’t buy that with a credit card.
