There is no need for protective coating, even for exterior applications. Only possibly If the piece was located in an area where people might touch it frequently, but then it may lose some luster.

It is a special adhesive for gold leafing, available from art supply stores.

The gold leaf residue can be removed with soap and water.
@@smoothon How do you keep the golf from rubbing off the object that you covered in gold leaf?
The sizing holds the gold leaf in place, but there are sealers which can be applied over the gold leaf to increase durability.
Does Superseal work with 3d printed parts?
No, it is for plaster or wood. Our XTC-3D is for 3D printed parts.
