      Don't forget to take time out just for you...I know you love what you are doing but sometimes we need to take a break to renew our batteries... Can't have you burning out. Take a deep breath and relax.
      Always be kind to yourself dear Jean. We don't want you sick again.
      May God bless and keep you safe always.
      Happy Relaxing.

Thanks for sharing I hit the thumbs up button and do every time I watch your channel Question did you have to share up the panel prior to quilting and the finished panel is beautiful. I’m on equilters now, leaping from your video to their panels. Wow, this is so lovely Jean! Question: what exact batting did you use? I always buy warm and natural. Would that work for such dense fmq? ...you got me wanting a Juki now 🤪. I can’t get enough of your videos, so inspirational. Thanks and have fun at the quilt show. I’m praying for your foursome to be safe and have fun!

      I used Warm and Plush from The Warm Company ~ sort of one up from Warm and Natural. Any cotton batting would work, but even a poly would give a puffy look. I wanted a nice flat quilt. I just LOVE my Juki! Best machine ever for strong, quick straight stitching and FMQ

  • @michellemcgough7476
    @michellemcgough7476 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When I stitch over the pounce chalk the chalk comes off, the agitation from the foot bounces it off and then I can't see where to stitch. So frustrating.

    • @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory
      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that happened to me a while ago...I think the company has addressed the problem a bit better so the recent chalk is slightly more effective. However, I still only stencil and chalk a small area at a time in which I am working. That way as I go, I don't have the problem of the chalk disappearing.

      It is a chalk filled sponge like Pad called Pounce Pad from The Hancey Company. You fill with special chalk, swipe/pounce over your quilt top with a stencil, and the chalk marks the design.

    Hi Jean I have a question for you
    Where did you get your stencils and when you trace through them are they traceable all the way or are there tiny piece of plastic that interrupts the pattern

      www.quiltingstencils.com have all sorts of stencils. They do have the tiny plastic things but I don't find that a bother personally.

      Jean Truelove Thank you Jean, I wasn't sure how it would look on material , since when I traced it out on paper the gap was there. Last night I put it on material and your right, its not . hindering

    Where is the best place to purchase stencils? What are the best sizes to purchase?

    • @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory
      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thestencilcompany.com I would begin with smaller 'block' stencils or if you wish, a 4 inch or 5 inch 'border' stencil. The simpler the design, the easier for a beginner to stitch out. I just love my stencils and chalk.

      No, and when I am free motion quilting anyway, I am the 'stitch regulator'.....making sure all my stitches stay fairly the same size:)
