Why God Sent His Son

Sometimes it can be hard to see how Christmas fits into the big picture of the Bible. Alistair Begg reminds us, however, that Christmas isn’t just about satisfying demands for charity; it’s about accepting an amazing offer of salvation. By God’s perfect providence, Jesus took on humanity at the right time so that He might be our substitute. As helpless sinners in need of a Savior, we can turn to Christ for the free promise of salvation that was made to Abraham in ages past.

Christ is revealed in the NT as Redeemer/Saviour as Judge and co-grace giver with God. Jesus offers the opportunity of salvation for those chosen by his Father.
