  • Peloton bikes are too expensive so I did what many others do and made my own peloton experience.
    overall, I'm really happy with the Joroto X2, but it was shipped to me with the drive belt off center, so in this video I show you how to assemble the bike as well as fix the drive belt if yours is stuck too.

    You don't need to remove the wheel nut just to adjust the belt. There is a tension wheel adjustment just below the axel. Loosen that and you can adjust the belt. If you need to replace the belt, I took my old belt into Autozone and they matched it with a Duralast 535K6 and it appears to be a prefect fit.

      You're welcome, it's not too bad but will definitely need a second pair of hands

    Have had mine 8 months with very modest use. It's suddenly locked up with an uninspiring grinding noise when pedals are turned. Also some red looking particles falling out. Am in contact with Joronto who will supply parts once I know what they are. I'm sure your video and accompanying comments will help.

      Turns out my problem was the crankshaft that the belt pulley is fixed on had moved and was pushing the (for my version of the X2 - red) belt pulley up against the outer cover. This ground off the right side rim and holding lip of the belt pulley! The solution, according to a 1 minute video Joroto sent, was to remove the cover and drive belt, bang the crankshaft in the other direction, then tighten a large nut at the other end of the crankshaft. It may work, though now there's no lip on one side of the belt pulley - which I think was a more recent modification to keep the drive belt in place.

    has the belt stayed in the correct place? - lots of reviewers mention the issue, call it belt shredding- I just want to know if it jumps back out of alignment over time because of a design flaw? Thanks for the vid!

      @@jessicaclanton7665 definitely seems to be an issue with this model.
      I've been using it a few times a week and after I fixed it initially, it's still working fine now

    When you needed to get an extra set of hands to finish putting it back together, was there anything special you did? I'm at that step but we're struggling to get if far enough forward to get the screw in.

      I can't recall off hand the sizes, but everything is metric on this bike so you'll need to pick up some tools

    • @PlatoonGarage
      @PlatoonGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tension should be dialed in via the magnet. As you turn the dial the magnet makes the tension on the wheel harder/easier

    That's why I ordered from Sunny health and fitness cause I hear Joroto has terrible customer service. I got the my bike for 425, its a Joroto X2 replica called the Sunny Synergy Magnetic Bike (SF-B1879). So far I love it. Unfortunately you cannot adjust the handles up and down, but I dont care about that feature. I just wanted a magnetic resistance bike. The resistance isn't as strong, similar to Joroto X2. If you want stronger resistance get the Sunny SF-B1805. Great for tall people!

      The wheel/axle has to slide forward so that the bolt can go back in place 👍
