Thank you for watching, and yes, I do need to make a couple more because I have two newer fanuc lathes that have updated controls. I do have some other FANUC machines videos on but they are older controls
Great video thanks. I'm trying to do as much learning as possible before going on my training, so I'm not completely overwhelmed. Can you recommend any further reading on this for complete novices? Also, that number in auto tool length set, where is it coming from (15.8558)?
The best thing you can do is make sure that you understand how to set tool lengths and the difference between the tool lengths and the work offset. the 15.8558 is set up by the manufacturer when they install the machine on site. I believe that is the distance from the face of the spindle to the table. So when you calculate the Z0 location, it calculates your current position, and the tool length and subtracts that from the 15.8558. The next thing you can do is watch a couple of the other setup videos that are on FANUC machines. That way, you can see the comparison between the machines but also see how setting them up is very similar. Thank you again for watching and good luck
Great video thanks. Quick question when setting G 54 Z to the top of the work piece could you have used any tool? You just happen to pick T2 the center drill correct? Any tool would have gave you your G54 Z I believe? thanks in advance.
th-cam.com/video/kdCuLXSiyrg/w-d-xo.html This video will show its usage and how to get it to work. I will say each machine will have a couple buttons in a different location, but if you activate your program and it shows it your ready to make chips. Thank you for watching
very nice! keep these videos coming on the fanuc, there is not much out there. appreciated!
