      @KGTropicals Can you do a video on the penguin 200. I just got back into fish keeping a month ago and love it. You said in a older video you loved the 150 when you got back into fish keeping in 09. I don’t have the 150 but I think the 200 is the new version and it looks way bigger than the 150 in your video.

    We have a beautiful angelfish, about 10 inches from the tip of his dorsal to the ends of his pelvic fins (which are over 5 inches). Every fish we had put in with him has been found dead within a week so we just let him live his solitary life. His favorite activity is being hand fed.

      Have you tried adding plecos or some other species of catfish? I have some Humbug Catfishes(Platydoras armatus) with my angels and they don't bother each other. They are decently big on size, so you might need a big tank to keep them with big angels, around 35-40 gallons in my opinion, but they will be fine.

    Wow yOur video helped me out tremendously! I started a new 40 gal angelfish tank , with a rainbow fish and some danios, and it wasn’t fully complete so I needed to find another perfect tank mate for these guys . Harlequin rasboras!!! I would’ve never thought due to how they can be aggressive over fin nipping, but in a school they’ll just skert around the bottom and balance out the tank.
    Very helpful video, I didn’t know what we’re the best but now I do!

      @@jamesburton7298 Yes, I have paid the same for the blues and high orange coverage Koi. Even more for my Discus. But they are all beautiful and worth it! Not only should he get 3-4 more cories he should also get another 4 rummy nose, globe lights and tetras- most of the fish he has would be best kept in groups of 5+. In my planted 55 with my 3 manacapura angels I have a group of 15-18 cardinals and 6 Schwartzi corydoras and it is such a fun tank to watch. Would rather save up and pay more to have amazing fish that are comfortable-after all there was quite an investment in the tank,stand, heater,cannister filter etc

I breed angels and gave a friend 4 angels that she kept in a 29 gal tank (she does her water changes and feeds well) I kept and grew out another 4 of their siblings in a 75 gal and when she gave back 2 because 2 had paired off and were harassing the other 2, they were have the size of mine that grew out in the 75 gal

    I know this video is 3 y/o, but so full of info! I've had several tanks of Angels but never kept more than 6 at a time in a 50 gal tank. However yes, some angels are unpredictable. I had one that constantly killed any other fish in its tank, even the other angels I got with it. I ended up keeping it by itself. I swear it would dance and get active whenever I approached the tank to feed it. Unfortunately it died after my divorce when I had to jump on a plane and couldn't take it with me. He died about a month after I left😢. But thank you because now when I make my next tank I have now better info and I'm more confident in keeping a nice and healthy tank. Hopefully my next angel fish isn't a serial killer haha

    Ya!! I set up a 65 gallon tall with loads of plants, manzanita branches specifically for angelfish though I have never had them. I researched like crazy! I found some gorgeous premium blue zebra Angel's on line and decided German Blue and Gold Rams would be a good mix. This video was good affirmation and I totally agree... the rams are my favorite! They are just bad a** enough to stand their ground if they need too. Gorgeous, funny, tough little guys. And yes.... two of my Angel's have paired off and they own the tank... they have spawned once last week and terrorized my tank. I find that behavior hard to stomach... 😢 Guess I need to either get used to it, get another tank 😉 or sell a breeding pair.

    I upgraded my lone angel who was attacking all guppies in my 36 g up to a 100 g which I obtained right before quarantine. Now have 5 angels with sterbai corys, cherry barbs, a Bolivian ram (we lost his girlfriend) and black neon tetras. My Angels are far from “boring sitting in one spot and looking pretty”! They come begging for food every time we walk by and follow us like little puppies. They’re frequently doing some light sparring/nudging with each other (not bad, just interesting) and leave everyone else alone.

      @noelbrucker135 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      PS The initial goal was to have rummynose tertras instead of the cherry barbs...but the angels attacked the bag so mightily when we put it in to float (ignoring the bag of corys!) and seemed to be specifically going after that red head, so we chickened out and put the rummys elsewhere. Anyone else on here successfully keep rummys with angels?

      That is my experience with my angles also. They just wait for their daily feeding of frozen shrimp and leave the other fish alone.

    I had a couple of angel fish a few years back and one of them just bullied every single other fish in the tank. Killed a couple of others before I realised what was he was doing!!! I absolutely love rummy-nose though, almost as much as my bristle nose pleco 😁. Nice top 10 guys 🙏😊

    I put the black skirt tetras with the angels - because they are as big a set of jerks as my angels are. I also wouldn't recommend anything smaller than a 55-gallon for angelfish. I've had one for four years now, and he first outgrew his 20-gallon, then the 40-gallon. He's pretty comfy in the 55-gallon now. They're slow growers, but they just don't seem to stop growing. And then there's angel veils with those crazy long fins...

    This is the perfect list! Of course my favorite fish (Tiger Barb) wouldn't/shouldn't be on this list, but I do have to mention an additional candidate. A large school of long fin Serpae Tetras looks pretty darn cool too.
