- I havent played or touched nero in DMC5 in almost 6 months so i practiced him all night. Im gonna start practicing him more even if im forever addicted to dante lmao.

I think my proudest Nero moment was when Vergil did his jetfigher dive and I activated Ragtime Break Age, did the „come at me“ taunt and supplexed him right after that. I was proud…

I finished my first ever playthrough with one of Nero’s unique devil trigger parries against Vergil
The one where he grabs SDT Vergil and his Doppelgänger and just *SMASHES* them into each other yelling “You dropped this!”

you can tell he's a Dante main because he doesnt spam every button during the animation sequences XD
im playing, im a Nero main and you learn some niche tech playing.
(you can EX revs on certain moves and taunts. You can throw daggers and charge shots during animations. you can also punch during animations and mid combos while keeping combo up and using punches as hit advantage to delay moves)
Honestly, playing Nero is like a fighting game with frame advantages.
Dante is like a Mousou game where you just plowing through hordes (with style)
You can EX rev on every move actually. Just a matter of timing. Seriously insane the people who can do it though.

Listen, I COULD play Dante. I, however, like my wrists. I like not having to change style, gun, weapon, and having to mash the weapon change button 3 times in half a second to switch back to my sword.
13 years ago, it was the toxic among the Dante mains that said Nero's play style was _baby's first DMC protag._
He is kinda bare Bones in DMC 4. But the Ladies aint better sadly, all the effort of the dlc chars Went Into Vergil and He plays amazing in 4.

@@johnmct9806 Nero is fun because he has a different style than Dante or Vergil while still feeling very powerful. If you think Nero is weak then just wait for DMC 6 maybe they will expand upon his weapon arsenal since he doesn't "need" devilbreakers anymore. I feel he will still use them until he can teleport like Dante and Vergil.
It's funny cause Nero should be slower and weaker but he keeps up just fine and beat his father; although fatigued from fighting Dante, Vergil still lost.
Bringer knuckle was such a perfect addition to Nero's kit

I personally think the only thing that could make DMC that much better, is the ability to set up different taunts to the amount of time your press the taunt button, but you can only use them on specific style rankings. It looks like players are now like looking to time their taunts with the end of the fight and that'd just be cool

@@__-fi6xg honestly selectable air taunts could be cool asf. Only thing I'm terrified of is the higher-ups at Capcom deciding to make those taunts a microtransaction. When I say those taunts I mean my idea in general lol
@@thatyellowfellow to me it isn't that V wasn't cool or good. His design is dope, and I liked his idea. It's just that it feels weird because shadow and griffin both are weird when it comes to their controls. It feels like they move independently of V but also are oriented to where V is looking so it's hard to know if you need to do your command from the pov of the familiars or V. I honestly wanna see him again, he could play more like Astral chain, or maybe griffin can act like the bots from Nier, they are always out and can do special things. Shadow can also do better if he didn't go so far away from V and moved around so much. I think those changes would make V super fun to play

I changed my controls so:
Break away= D-Pad
And ofcourse Dante switch Styles using D-Pad

I wish they expand the devil breakers more if they do a dmc6, they could be mini weapons (basically instead of just having one attack and one breakage attack they could have forward, back and back forward prompts on top of the other 2)

That would be perfect. I could also imagine someone modding Tomboy to function like that. Instead of just activating it, the Devil Breaker button would instead perform all the attacks itself, allowing you to combo more easily with it. The downsides being you'd lose your 2nd Snatch, or your only Snatch if it's the first playthrough, and the modder would have to find a new way to perform the Tomboy shot (maybe buff the shot and turn it into the breakage attack).
@@HA-ot6uf yeah in DMC5 context well you need to have snatch and it's the first appareance of the breakers so maybe they didn't want to go too wild with them or smth, in the future I'm expecting more from them tho
