The first "incident" shows how important it is to KEEP YOUR DISTANCE and really stick to the TF rules. Oc only if you want to do more than one lap and want your car to be driveable after driving there. At least be aware that you could crash anywhere on the NOS, even on the GP Track (like I did with my "Tracktool"), So be careful, especially when you use your daily car for lapping.

Do the firms that rent out cars have some monitoring device that can tell if a car's been spun or gone off-road but not quite crashed, and does that make a difference to the amount one is charged, for potential damage to the car?
The Ring rental companies have GPS and a black box. The normal rent companies look at the pictures of touristenfahrten to spot illegal use of their cars on track
But why is it THAT slippery there? I mean even if it‘s dry this spot seems to be slippery as hell. Yeah, when it rains or when the track is mildly wet I get it to a certain point that it can be slippery but this spot seems to be cursed 😂 That poor BMW 1M 😮😢
It has always been slippery. There is a film on TH-cam in which Jackie Stewart takes us on a lap of the circuit in a 1970's Mercedes-Benz convertible & he mentions how slippery it is at Kallenhard & that there is a line to take when it is dry & a different line to take when it is wet. I don't know if it is drainage or the camber of the corner or something else that causes it to be slippery..
Its downhill, very tight, offcamber, track pinches. Lots of rubber from hard braking, cornering. No sun there, just shadow. Many leatfs end up on the track. And quite a lot fluid spills.
