Going on a solo date is awesome! It was awkward at first. The first time I went to see Eat Pray Love at the movies years ago! And I went on a movie date to see Unsung Hero a couple weeks ago. I enjoy dinner solo dates too😊
I have a 6 year old daughter and when me and her dad were in a relationship, I idolized that relationship and I think that’s what ruined it. I ended it 2 years ago and I struggle having that me time and dating myself because all my time goes to our daughter now. I just started getting into my self care face routine and I love it! I’m gonna start setting dates to take myself out and stop waiting on a man to do it and buy myself things and stop waiting on a man to buy me anything. ❤❤ I wanna love on myself. It’s never too late to start. 😊
This video was such a breath of fresh air. I really enjoyed seeing you enjoy yourself. As someone who is going on her first solo date tomorrow, this just made me excited!
The advice/tips you gave while getting ready are helpful for people who are trying to build self worth but to clarify to what ur saying so it wouldn't be that people become more self absorbed and selfish by only caring about there own needs being met, cuz yes we know to treat others the way we want to be treated also. Become better people not only for ourselves but to serve/impact and add to others lives. And the favor of the Lord Jesus is definitely on u girl, thanks for bringing us on ur solo date and rolling to ur car after being so full is relatable 😂

Putting ourselves first is the same as putting another person first. It’s idolatry in a different form: idolizing self. Putting God first is always the best making sure Jesus is our foundation will ensure our lives are built on a firm foundation that will last so that no matter what we won’t be shaken. God does judge us when it’s all said and done.
The whole point of this video wasn’t about self idolatry. This is for the people that need this reminder to just take care of themselves. Nothing you mentioned is new to me. God is always first in my life. Everything else comes after, but I’m not neglecting myself in my walk. I find joy with these moments I have to myself because of Him.
