I just think the color of the body is amazing
Well that alone makes me LOVE this truck! Anything else is just icing on the cake! I don't believe my videos do it any justice. Thanks for watching!
@@VoltUpRC I would like to have it as a kit and hope that the dealer in Germany will include it in their range as a kit. Even if the current RTR has a very unsightly color, I will order the body in the beautiful red separately 😄
Yes a kit version at a lower price would be the best option for us! Where your located, you only have access to the reely Thor? Or am I wrong?
@@VoltUpRC Yes, in Germany only the Reely Thor is currently available, the FSR Sniper via Ali costs >400€, which is not an option for me for what the model offers. Do you happen to know the HobbyTech DB8SL? It is a further development of the Carson Desert Warrior XL. It's similar to the FSR Sniper on the road, but has significantly better electronics installed, which the Sniper as an RTR lacks a bit (for me it's more like a 1:10 XL)
I'm not familiar with that hobbytech, googled it, that's cool. Haven't seen those around here
Been waiting on the run footage. 🍻
@@TheBiteSize I hope I didn't disappoint! I wanted to run it in dirt as well, but we're flooded over here.... might be for the best as the car was a bit of a chore right out of the box
@@VoltUpRC not at all. Did t get to finish because the kids wanted to watch something else for lunch. But it’s looks great either way
I understand. I'm definitely more nitty gritty detail than entertainment value, but I enjoy being dull. Thanks for watching!
@@VoltUpRC some times getting info straight forward is more entertaining, as far as I’m concerned.
🤙
Hope you update us with better motor, servo situation solved, and gyro solved!
I'll record and post all of it! I really like this truck! Thanks for watching!
It’s time to up the pinion and change servo and receiver and adjust the shocks. Then test run again. It has a lot of potential.
@@ghostlionrc5014 I agree! The truck did about what I expected it to. I will be changing servo, horn, and upping the pinion, but the motor was already overheating at its current gearing, so I'm just going to go larger and higher kv. Thanks for watching!
Any chance you know anything about turning the gyro/tc off? I really like the transmitter otherwise and don't want to change it
@@VoltUpRCThere has to be a dial on it to adjust it. Or maybe a 4th channel button to toggle it on or off. A good way to check when you're turning buttons or knobs is hold it up in the air and move it side to side and if the gyro is on they will move on their own. If it's off they won't move at all. But try that. Are you sure it has a gyro? It could just be the steering servo is that bad and not centering up that great maybe? Edit: I just came to the part where you were playing with it and the gyro lol.
@cwatson42785 lol thanks! I'm steadily working with it, I know I can get it right
When gyro is engaged it takes control over your steering and also your throttle. Depending on how high or low it is set is how much control it is allowed to have over it.
Yeah i wish I knew how to control it! I normally love gyros, but without being able to manipulate it takes some fun out of it. Do you know anything about this specific transmitter by chance?
@@VoltUpRC I tried to find something about it and the transmitter but couldn't. Any luck?
@@richiefrank15productions yep! I've found everything!
@richiefrank15productions please reach out in the fsr group and I can get you a manual
Front toe alignment is visually off even through this video. That can definitely have an effect on steering.
@nowayjose20 good eye and you ain't lying! A bit of positive camber in the back as well. Stay tuned!
Great video AWESOME collection of rc s
Thanks so much for watching! Which one of yours is your favorite?
2s to 3s should be a 50% jump in speed. So 25mph to 37mph. 30mph to 45mph for instance.
@jalee6587 well that makes perfect sense! 50% more voltage 50% percent more rpm! Thanks!
Juste a ( reely new1 ) 😅
Thanks for watching! People with experience with this chassis seem unsurprised. Do you have any experience with these?
Good review again buddy, looks like i have some work to do when mine arrives, thank god she's pretty
I was blindly hopeful. Good thing we love tinkering! The only non- electronic part I'm really disappointed in so far is the length of the rear springs. This sold as a kit would've lead to much less headache so far.
@@VoltUpRC totally agree, i have a few bits and pieces i can throw at it, servo motor links and so on, looking forward to it
Sounds like a good time!
Brave and confident placing the phone on the car like that lol. My skills are not that great to be doing that
@@TheBiteSize thanks for watching! My secret is..... .... I've got a junk drawer filled with years of old phones that we don't use! Haha! I'd NEVER do that with my real phone!
I had such high hopes 😭 it is a looker though
@Dankerkitty stay tuned! I think there's a ton of potential still for this truck! Everything might be a lot better rtr once I figure out how to get the gyro turned off!
I'm really surprised they would put that servo in such a big rc, that's something you'd see in a 1/16 rtr
Thanks for watching! In my unboxing I thought it would be weak, but I underestimated how bad...
I would first make sure the giro is operating in the right direction, some of the FTX cars come with the giro set the wrong way round & need reversing. Instead of the giro steering the car in the opposite direction to what its turning, it steered the car into the same direction. The Kraton 4s is a lot bigger all around than the JLB Cheetah, just compared my Kraton 4 s & my Cheetah. Kraton wheelbase is 355mm, Cheetah wheelbase is 310mm, Kraton 4s width is 440mm, Cheetah width is 360mm. The 2500kv 3652 motor the FSR / FTX trucks is pretty low on power as well, I know someone that has the FTX Apache with this motor in. The low end power isnt great, especially if the truck stops against an obsticle. The guy with the Apache truck simply stopped against some large weeds, motor just cogged due to the resistance off the weed. He couldnt reverse out due to an obsticle behind the car, so could only power forward.
Hey thanks for the thorough response! That sums up what I saw with the motor pretty well! How do you like that k4s?
How do you adjust / turn off the gyro on the ftx?
@@VoltUpRC My K4 is the v2 so to speak, mine is the version that still used a slipper clutch. Still a great driving truck, the latest 2.5 version K4 has the center diff which is better. The latest K4 also has a number of uprades on the truck.
@@gillian9178 I've seen that new center diff setup! Pure gold!
Car looks overly toed out might be what’s contributing to the steering being sub-par
@TheBiteSize good eye! A bit positive on the rear camber too. I haven't touched any of that yet, but plan to! Stay tuned!
@@VoltUpRC I’m sub’d so no worries!
@@VoltUpRC that comes with the territory. I tinker with any and everything that has adjustments as for hobby grade stuff
🤙
Nice review, looks like this rc is a fail with all the issues you pointed out. What might be worth a look at is the new Quantum2 Xt truggy version of the Mt, there's no youtube reviews on it yet since it just released last week at Amain Hobbies.
Thanks for watching! I hadn't heard about that Quantum2?! The Quantum+ with center diff just came out like last month?! I'm curious whats different and why theyre offering both models at the same price of $275? Looks like the new one comes with an 80a esc vs 100a and smaller motor (3660 vs 3665) and maybe it lost the center diff? It seems like a huge downgrade? Thoughts?
@VoltUpRC I think the Quantum2 Xt has the same electronics and set up as the Mt just in a longer chassis and wider wheel base sort of like the 4s Arrma Outcast-Kraton
Yea they went with smaller electronics for their new line up but as long as it works. The Mt does low-mid 40mph out the box and you can always gear up. I figure with the Xt having a wider stance it should handle well bashing.
@@angkorpeck it seems like it's an all new thing and not necessarily the successor to the + with center diff
I think this rc with a sensored 10bl120 and a 13.5 T 3650 sensoed would wake it right up and being sensored have amazing throttle control. Then depending on what radio and if you want the gyro or not would make this a pretty dang decent rig.Imho.
