I dont think they want to set up the people.....they are just building template teams and are scared to go their own way.....so basically their squad depends on squad from reactive managers.....
I’ve spent sooooo many days and hours researching this, looking at every you tube FPL podcast on there - I’ve messed about with every possible configuration, but have had to return to having BOTH. THE DANGER OF MISSING OUT ON EITHER IS TOO DIRE TO CONTEMPLATE. Then, after game week six you switch to Arsenal. Seems a no brainer to me……..

As a fpl player and hammers fan I would keep an eye out for Emerson, only 4.5 mil with lopeteguis new tactics of overlapping fullbacks you could see him gaining lots of assist and even goals after we get used to the new system

This is very close to my team, I think I'm going with Salah and Haaland, but not 100% sure yet.
I'm on both! With the intention of sacrificing Salah and Eze for two semi-premium mids in Gameweek 7. I think at that point Saka and Foden will be up to speed (and we'll know which semi-prems are looking good), and that's when liverpool's fixtures turn.

Nice team! Personally I don't see the appeal of Eze. He did his magic when he had Olise and Mateta on the pitch with Olise as the main deflector. In the matches he had to do it by himself he has been pretty poor last season (coming from a manager who started with him in GW1 last season). Besides that I would prefer Gibbs-White over CHO. On every set piece and penalties. Pretty much worth the one million extra I would say. On the other hand I don't expect to suddenly see Forest as a high rolling team with lost of goals. So for me it's more something I get enthusiastic for on paper, but when the season starts I will be wondering why I have a Forest player whom I have to start every GW.
Eze is good as he can always be downgraded to a 6.5
Many similarities to my Haaland/Salah team. I put Havertz up front which gave me a little more money to sprinkle around the rest of the outfield.
This is my team so glad to see it’s not just me who thinks it can be done 😅
What we're saying is we prefer Nkunku, Hudson-Odoi and Haaland over Palmer, Gordon and Watkins...you can do so much with that 15m.
I think I’ll have both. I just think it’s much easier to move the money away from them if they flop than it is to get them and they go crazy
Palace Fan here. Olise is irreplaceable. He signed for Bayern as his RC was until 30th June. They streched it out as Bayern would not allow the 15%sell on clause on profit to Palace thst was on the RC. Bit naughty that. But he was set on going.
Mateta will start i think
Whats a better pre season than the Olympics ? I dont think he will be rested , and Rze and Kamada pre season had been brilliant. We beat Wolves and West Ham with them and we are so much fitter than the rest (except Wharton.) if Geuhi goes. glasner had a £40m budget. Olise was expecting to stay and so was he but eveyone was expecting Geuhi to leave. So if it is 65m we oew chlease 10m ish as it is 20% on the profit of the sale, so is a 45m profit. Olise 55m. We have bought Sarr. We have arounf 90m right there so expect s busy transfer summer another CB, another wing back, and another no.10 as JRS will go out on loan.
Henderson is no.1 as Johnstone has been injured in the summer.
As Olise is going to be top 20 players in the world up fromt imo. As he was always injured, we will get in another creative midfielder alongside Eze Kamada and Ayew/Sarr. Hughes letma and Decoure is a little unfit but 2 outbof those three are fine. Glasner will now built his squad with Dougie Freedman and we have not mentioned Franca who is coming good. I would go Henderson over Flekken. Nice team.
Gutted that Hall is gaining attention - thought I as the only one! Still less than 1% owned though…watch that sky rocket

I have Salah, Isak, Son, and Haaland. Yes. I have gone cheap options in other parts of the team but players who may be good value rather than just necessarily fillers.

I’ve got both. I just can’t imagine hiding behind the couch every time they play. I’ve got 3 4.5 def, Gibbs Nkuku Gordon Salah, Haaland Isak Watkins. It’s not a huge sacrifice considering what you are getting?
Both is the only way at the start unless you want to risk being hopelessly left behind by game week 6. Even if Haaland and salah don’t perform 100% it’ll still be good enough to hold you in good position. Also easy to bail and move to arsenal and city whenever you want. Frankly, it’s a no brainer tbh……
With the new bankable transfers of max. 5, I'm planning to attack the fixtures in GW1, use benchboost, and Wildcard in GW2.
With most teams planning to wildcard on or before GW7-8, I guess this strategy could very well work perfectly.

Liverpool does not have 2 games that the same players are gonna play, they are both on the same day, so players are not going to play in both of them.
Good catch didn't spot it's same day. Probably be A team and B team so let's hope TAA is in the right one 🤞

Both. Much easier to switch to a multi-premium team, than build up to haaland and salah from such a team. As a Liverpool fan, salah has looked as sharp as ever in preseason and always shines early on in seasons, and haaland is fresh and can’t be ignored imo

Still feel going with the two will make a very stressful future when we run around bringing them back! even going for just 1 of the two will need a lot of team surgery if you spread funds !

This is extremely close to the setup I have currently; same front three, but basically I’ve got Gordon instead of CHO, and then Neco Williams instead of gvardiol (and barco instead of konsa and different 4m def).
Not fully sold there on Cho and the Newcastle opening fixtures are really good. But can deffo move there in a couple of moves if gvardiol is looking good by gw7. City’s fixtures don’t look good for defence (aside from week 2) until gw7. So time to move there if wanted.

you mention Nkunku v Man City and he actually has a Hat Trick against them while playing for RB Leipzig in the Champions League back in 2021

I have been on the Salah and Haaland draft from the beginning! Similar team with the exception of Pereira instead of Hudson Odoi and Wood instead of Muniz!
Just wondering if you don't go Salah could Elliot be an overlooked gem especially at that price point?

Eze still getting hyped so hard this year. He was such a disappointment compared to the other options to start last year. I can’t bring myself to risk getting burned by him again.

Besides i am going for nailed playets first 4 to 6 gws and go for the fodens saja palmer and fodens later. Maybe an early WC with a Salah and Haaland for the first 4 GWs is the play and WC gw 6 or get watkins in gw5 for Haaland and spread the cash but i will use the 4.5 rotation and see who plays at home, as there are more clean sheets at home. Only Davis at Ipswich has upside at 4.5 and Munoz at 5 IMO

I'm trusting Areola this season from the beggining. Last year benched him the 2-3 times he gathered over 6 points, with saved penalties, saves etc. Also need to make a decision for up-front between Muniz or Wood.
Does everyone prefer muniz + CHO over Wood and Andreas? I’m struggling myself
I had a hard time deciding but I think I’ll stick to ESR & Wood instead of Odoi & Muniz
One blank from salah and haaland and you’re done for. There’s plenty points to be made early on to go without haaland
I think that Palaces new signing of Ismaila sarr is also a good option for a budget midfielder. At just 5.5 million he will fill the gap left by Olise and I think perform very well. He’s absolutely rapid and I think will pull off some insane assists

But for 6 million I just think he’s a great little underrated gem. I mean you can debate that but I’ll be the one laughing at you all if he does a Palmer

I have a similar team but I sacraficed TAA for Gabriel to have Szoboszlai instead of Hudson-Odoi on midfield, but might switch him for Johnson or Bailey.
Plus my 4.5 defenders are Andersen, Harwood-Bellis and Mykolenko.

@@rupertdennison6167 nah he played 54 minutes per game on average the last 2 seasons, that's not enough for me. Especially with Gakpo being in such a great form at the Euros.
There's gonna be a lot of rotation and only Salah and probably Szobo are fix starters in the attack.
@andraskurucz839 Szob isn't an attacker for us. Imo it will be Gakpo Salah n Jota as starting 3 'attackers' then likely Mac and Elliott or Szob or Jones, with a new DCM or Bajcetic in 'midfield'. It's more of a 4231 for LFC really under Slot but even that's rrally more a 4222. The 2 nailed in the front 6 are Mac and Salah.

Need to know the best option on a 5.5 midfielder, giving Rodgers a miss as I opted for Watkins but torn between Andreas for fullam or a even a Liverpool attacker in Elliott? As I have no Liverpool

I currently have a squad I LOVE but it has no Haaland so for the squad to work with him in then it means salah out.. so it comes down to which is better:
Haaland, Smith Rowe, Mykolenko
Salah, Trent, Armstrong

I have now gone for both. Too scared of Haaland. Still sticking with Palmer though.

@@eldante4139 there's "enablers" and then there's cheap players who get stuck on your bench. Anyway different players have different styles I guess.
Mateta was well rested before the Olympics so I am hopeful that he can start the season fresh enough to get off to a good start and become a great differential.
Why would he miss the start of yhe season anyway? Hes only in France. If anything he'll be more fit as hes playing competitive games not pre season kick arounds
Im personally not as high on Konsa or Newcastle defence tbh. Plenty of early away fixtures which usually don’t end in clean sheets for the visitors

Any Salah+Haaland draft is going to include Eze+Nkunku. It's inevitable.
What about Palace def?
Still looks too unbalanced to me .
Those premium and sub premium midfielders, will in my opinion haul more points in the long term than Haaland with a weaker midfield .
Don’t get me wrong I’ll be hiding behind the sofa for week 2 when Man City play Ipswich but I still think my midfield and attack will outscore what’s been shown here .
Great to have more different strategies this season but think the 5 transfers will mean so many have the exact same starting 9 or 10 players by week 6
I agree. If I had Haaland I would be hiding behind sofa, since he needs 2-3 goals in GW2 to justify price. Could be 3-0 up and half time sub to get Gametime for others. Can build whatever narrative you want😂
Is it worth spending the extra cash for AA or having Van Dyke and using the cash to upgrade a forward or midfielder?
I like the the use of Haaland+salah draft but I like having a decent bench for good rotation as well

I'm really looking for a 5.5 mid or even a 5. Murphy's looking strong in pre-season so I have him for now. Don't want to double up with Hudson Odoi and Wood.
Your thoughts on Arsenal defense though.. really feels like it's going under the radar. I have White instead of TAA for now.

Arsenal got some tough fixtures in opening weeks, but if they defend like previous season they could be worth considering.

Always had both. Yes you can spread the money elsewhere but you’ll always be hoping you cover the combined haul of Salah & Harland.
Plus it’s always easier to sell them than buy them!

Salah and Haaland is way to go for me. It's easier to transfer them out if they don't perform than to get them in if they smash it
Obviously they'll have good seasons. Going without them isn't expecting them to have a nightmare, its about what else you can do with that money. Lots of other good options for less who will keep pace with them if going off last season. I don't think either are that much better than some of the 10m mids for example. Is Haaland really 5.5m better than Foden?
@@Jim-gh6mr Agree with you mate. I just made a draft without Haaland and It got 99/100 on fantasy football hub! So yeah, I don't think haaland will outscore Saka, Son and Salah and probably will consider going without Norweigan.
Really like the team, very similar to my draft. Im hoping Jota can cover Salah, that allows me Gordon instead of Hudson-Odoi and Watkins instead of Muniz

If Trippier stays I think he could be a sleeper pick for 6m; enormous potential to bounce back from the horrendous Euro performance and the manager probably still trusts him to be the main chances creator. What do you think?

My only concern is the squad depth when you have both Salah and Haaland .
I think Salah takes my vote with isak and watkins and maybe a pedro with a stronger midfield to include son gordon eze etc. I have an ai rate of 98% with this
I was thinking this as well but both Haaland and Salah are not picks for 1 week. You give them 4-5 weeks minimum before thinking about transferring them out. If they don't return what you expect from them, you can easily downgrade to literally any midfielder and striker. Combine that with saving up to 5 transfers and it's a no brainer to go with both really. By then you have much more information on whether Isak, Watkins, Havertz etc live up to expectations and which premium midfielder is hitting form as well as better view on who the better 6.5m mid and 4.5m defenders are. I do not necessarily like my HaalandxSalah draft more than my other drafts with just 1 of them, but long term it's the better option just because fitting Haaland in on free transfers is near impossible.
@Connoisseur7184 I just think if you cover the bases with players that have free kick and penalty involvements and a combination of isak and watkins between the two of them will counteract the haaland hauls. These draft templates just don't seem to have enough squad depth , we've seen both blank before. And if they do where are you getting the points from? I'd sooner have 5/6 options that can likely return rather than 2 or 3.
We all see the game so differently it's what makes playing fun.
With Alvarez gone to Athletico, do you think Bobb has a chance to start at the Wing over Grealish or Doku with the good preseason he's having?

Any reason nobody is talking about Rodrigo Gomes at Wolves (granted there fixtures aren’t great) but he’s looked really good

Why are people not owning any united assets? I’m seeing nkunku when Chelsea have been below par, any reason to pick nkunku?

Is Trent Salah and halaand the play, idk maybe without Trent a better midfielder than Hudson odoi and a 4.5
Isak is cheaper than Watkins because he is not nailed and rotates with Callum Wilson
i have a very similar team to this, but gone without TAA and quite a weak defence overall to strengthen the midfield and bring in Gordon for Winks, since I don't feel comfortable starting Nkunku GW1, so I have Hudson-Odoi starting ahead of him with Eze, Gordon and Salah. I have Joao Pedro for Muniz and Gvardiol, Mykolenko and Murillo starting GW1 with Andersen and Faes on the bench, Andersen for rotation and Faes because he's 4.0m. As a Forest fan, I cannot see a world where Hudson-Odoi doesn't start GW1 short of injury, despite Elanga's presence and the signing of Jota Silva. Not sure if I should weaken my midfield and have a 5 or 4.5m option to strengthen the defence, but I can't go without Mykolenko personally, and Andersen rotates well with him, and Murillo is my obligatory Forest pick.

@@iqbalhendroyono7344 I find it doubtful that Williams will be dropped long-term considering how beloved he is by our fanbase, Aina wasn't a starter for much of last season with Toffolo playing many of our games at left back. Obviously Aina has more versatility than Williams does and I think probably more attacking output but he won't play as often if last season is anything to go by

Is Ola Aina nailed and does he carry any attacking threat. I don’t know much about Forest but he’s seems he could be a better option than Murillo?
The team without Salah can be more strong overall. Haaland is a set and forget captain till GW38.
