Came down the Stikine from Telegraph River to Wrangell by canoe that same summer. Many memories, but one that stands out is how cold the river was, even in July! Thanks for taking me back.

Very nice, the narration with out a bunch of crazy music which tends to be the fad, is very refreshing.

While doing online research for the perfect pilot house trawler yacht, I came across the Fleming 58 and fell in love. And then I discovered your amazing video series. I have watched each of the videos at least three times and marvel at the challenges and life style. They really capture the beauty of travel on the high seas. We live in Alaska and spent many years in Seward living just a block from the sea shore. We have always dreamed of traveling the oceans and seeing the world.

I still remember my excursion on Stikine River, (originally called Stickeen) but we didn’t go to Shakes lake. We saw the bear scraping barnacles up close.

Thank-you for another beautiful video from "The Great Land"! The last time I viewed this remarkable river was over 30 years ago, from the co-pilots seat of a CAP Beaver, searching for a missing aircraft & crew. It was a bit shocking to see just how far the glacier has receded, in what in geological time, would be such a short time span.

Oh if only I were a millionaire...I'd bribe The Flemming crew to take me along--I'd still work for my inclusion though. This is one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. Thanks for the great work!

I lived in wrangle in 1974 and 75. A guy I knew there named Todd Harding who had a jet boat excursion company. I heard he passed away a few years ago. He was 3 years older than me. I'm 66. Anyone know him ? He took trips up the stikine river.

Took a Breakaway jet boat trip with former owner, who sold the company recently, most awesome sights I have seen living here in Alaska the past 45 years! It pulled me back! Moving back to “ real Alaska “, Wrangell shortly!😉👍
