I love that you're dedicated to your stylist. She knows exactly what you want because you stick with it. Most people try someone, don't like it, lie and say that they do, and then never go back.
If you don't like it, let them know what you don't like. They can try to fix it, or offer to try it better (possibly with a discount) the next time. Then you learn how to explain what you want to them, and they naturally learn the style that you like!

My Korean teacher said that in Seoul it is much cheaper to cut your hair than where we are here. Fun video to watch, I also enjoy the massage part when I go for my hair appointments. Genius what they do with the mask, what a great idea. I will suggest it to the hair salon I usually go to.

I agree with the comment a viewer left regarding the tape on the mask to keep in place. It IS genius. I haven't gotten up the courage to go to a salon in all this time, and will def bring my own tape when the time comes. Things are so much better this year with the c virus, but it makes sense still to be careful.
Your cut came out fabulous btw and I have to say when you kept saying "it's a mess" I just couldn't get it. It looked pretty good before you cut it! By now you must have cut it again many times, it's been months...thanks again...🌼

I recently cut my hair for the new driver's license / ID required in the US and was talking to the hairdresser about how much "easier" it is to cut men's hair since most have similar short styles (it's rare for a man with long hair to come in). She was saying that men are way pickier than women because they have less to work with... so they want it exactly how they like it.
I don't think "men" are picky. Its just when you have a short hair it hard to find the right haircut. Even a small mistake can make you look bad.

Oh you get a real gown for going in there, not a piece of cloth over front of you, tied on your neck. Clever trick with bandaid to hold the mask when they remove the strings. Here they just do it partially, first taking one side off, putting it back on, then the other, and you are supposed to catch it yourself if it slips off in the middle. I always loved the blowdrying of the hair at the hairdresser, since I was a child. Other children cried cause of the noise of the machine, I loved the hot stream blowing at my freshly done hair.
Btw u said ppl always sit at coffee smith.check out the girls n boys.how about u..did u ever do the same?haha😂do you give tips to people who help you in the salon? is it appropriate for something like this in korea.?
it's more checking out people's outfit and just looking around haha no we usually don't tip in Korea!

small salons in the neighborhood would be around 12-20$ ( of course some are cheaper and some are more expensive)
Salons in this area where celebrities go 50-70$
There’s quite a difference but there’s also a reason why I drive 1.5h to just get my haircut!

Also, yes - the hairwash is the best part of the hair salon experience. If I could, I’d go to JUST get that deep hair wash massage!
And, I wonder - do people look at you funny when you walk into a crowded place talking to a camera in English? Do you notice that? Ot maybe people are used to seeing good old bloggers/vloggers doing their good old job? 🧐
I imagine they are used to it because of SNS and social influencers nowadays, but the fact that he's doing it in English probably raises a few eyebrows... either because they are impressed with his English skills or they think he's a foreigner (if they aren't people he interacts with regularly like the hairstylist).
i think people are getting used to it but I actually still feel a little shy! There are a lot of English speaking Koreans in this area so maybe they were more used to it! and of course this salon is full of celebs and influencers so they are more used to it

Not gonna lie.... it looks the same, except maybe it's a bit more "neat" and trimmed and probably way more noticeable in the back than the front. I don't even want to guess how much that cost... I think I will stick to my $14 haircuts since I dye my hair and can't donate it anymore for free haircuts.
that's why I go here haha other stylist just cut it short as they want haha

The way the woman at coat check looked at you made me wonder if you are asking permission to record people. I know in the US you can get in trouble for recording people without permission, especially if you're planning to post the video on a public space like this. I'm sure you're doing your due diligence off-camera and edit people out as needed.
