A little less time walking around , and looking for tools and more time actually doing the repair would make a better video…..

So a grossly abbreviated version of this is to have the engine running. Get ur socket, set the lever to the correct position then loosen, & tighten the bolt, & that’s it. The 110 Round fender adjustment is a pain in the ass.

I would have liked to see more but the camera was all over the place. Keep up the good work. You'll get there with the camera.

Yeah, since then I bit the bullet & got a decent camera @ Walmart for about $100 with a 2yr warranty because of the environment it’s around can destroy the zoom lens the retracts. 1 little pice of dirt large enough will render it unusable.

@@michaelbenoit248 we have the same problem on our end. Tripod gets finicky at times, the wind blows and it sounds like a tornado going by, and then, if that's not enough... I keep walking back and forth to stop the camera and set it up for the next scene.
It's a good thing I like doing this. Lol
I hope you have fun with your new camera.

I paid $800 for a near mint condition 212 last year. Did I over pay? It is a fantastic mower being 45 years old. Normal repairs and upkeep for it's age. So much easier to work on than simplicity.

If it was rebuilt in good shape with a rebuilt deck, motor, & transmission I’d say it was worth it. Having a rebuilt Kohler motor in good shape is very hard to find.
What deck does it have? 38 or 46? The smaller deck with the K301 is a damn near brush hog mowing machine when mine was working.
The bearings in all of em I’ve seen like to make a bunch on noise.
Kohlers like an extra .5qt in the motor. It’s splash lube, so it’ll run better. Always check before starting, Deere made it super easy to check it on these things.
Seen many Kohlers up north that blew their rods. Keep clean oil in it, & it’ll last a lifetime. Change the transmission fluid, it’s probably never been changed or hasn’t been touched in years.
To change it get a flexible funnel from autozone, makes changing it much easier. U can fish it through the shifter opening to the full plug.
Act like it’s trying to kill itself, just basic maintenance.

Wasted half hour of my time to find out nothing except hunting tools and bs. What a waste of time.

True, 2yrs ago I used a crappy camera on an old tablet cuz I didn’t have a real phone yet I had a dumb flip phone when I got my old 1995 f250 years ago.
