It’s always interesting to me watching people talking about stinkpots down south and their habitat preferences. Up north where they’re the only resident musk turtle species they’re generalist that are found in every aquatic habitat we have here. Definitely seems like a matter of them being pushed out of the creeks when loggerheads are present.
Greg, how are loggerheads with other turtles? Would like a pair for my outdoor pond but they would share it with spotted turtles do not want my spots losing a leg? And would they be cold tolerate in Maryland?

I keep my spotted with a pair of minor, outdoors. With plenty of space and hides they get along just fine
