This video essay continues the tragic love story of this remarkable woman who gave up her jewelled life for the convent. A house of death & dying became her calling considering what happened to her husband, Grand Duke Sergei.
Her jewelry is stunning, but in the end chose a wooden cross bound by a white ribbon. She earned the reverence of her patients and the people.
