    Good looking sheath and review, thanks for sharing, God bless brother !

      Very well made sheath. The cammo pattern to my aesthetical taste kind of helps to make up for I not being leather.
      Thanks for watching Michael
      God bless you too brother.

    I went to a Swedish wedding! Great fun! Lost me passport on the way home though, had to stay over for three days to get a new one then found the old one stuck to the inside of me rucksack.

    That Unni.... always trying to upstage and steal the show! 😆 Great video, Tim. I ordered two of those knives without the sheath. Kinda wish I had but there's time. I had kydex sheaths made from a maker in the US. I gave one to a soldier friend getting ready for a deployment. I'm absolutely certain he has the only knife of it's kind where he is. I wanted him to have a tough as nails and super reliable knife that is easy to maintain and he tells me it hasn't let him down.😊

      Unni is very good at stealing the show. Definitely the star of all of my outtakes 😂. 206 dogs we have and out of them all she is the best by far in my eyes. Varusteleka sell perfectly good boleron sheaths. But these are a little different and very importantly made by someone who is working at building up a small business. Very good to support these people and wherever possible the more local ones. The Jääkäripuukko is a absolutely fantastic knife and it will serve your freind well.

    Removable locktite works great

      Removable locktight, I didn't know such a thing existed. I will look it up. Thank you very much for the suggestion mate.

    Hi Tim, looks like a good sheath, if you want to secure the screws better you could use a drop of nail polish on the threads after cleaning them whith meths, or varnish, or even a bit of superglue. And you'd still be able to remove them if you whish. Thanks for another interesting video mate, stay safe, best wishe's to you and uni, Stuart UK.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Good suggestion, I don't tend to have much nail Polish around the house though. Will hopefully transferring a tec lock from another sheath today (if I ever manage to finally catch up with all these comments😂).. Some kind of glue that I can remove sounds like a great idea.
      Thanks mate.

    looks like a nice sheath tight and functional,you got more snow then us still,but it usually bombs down once its time

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      The snow seems to have come reasonably early the last couple of years. The sheath is nicely made, I generally prefer leather but maybe this one will be a little more versatile.
      Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy your snow when it arrives 😂. I am taking so long to answer comments at the moment that you could already have more snow than we do by now.

    Looks very solid. That's real similar to what came with A few of my larger survival knives. I have also lost an abundance of screws.😂.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      That's the danger, leaving a trail of screws, knife and sheath bits all through the forest and one of the big advantages of a traditional sheath.
      Thanks for stopping by Travis.

    Yeah that is a nice looking sheath for sure Tim. I too agree that a Tec-Loc would be a better fit for pack / chest rig mounting.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Hopefully I will find time today to transfer a Tec-lock from another sheath (if I eventually get on top of all these comments 😂). Thanks for watching Dan.

    Carry my Puukko and/or Leuku on a voyagers type sash on my non-dominant side outside of my winter anorak. I have been working on making a Saami leather belt for this purpose, suspect that it may not be as comfortable.
    Also not a fan of modern sheaths made of non-traditional materials, they look ugly to my eye. Could be just because I’m old and set in my ways. I like wood and canvas canoes, bamboo fly rods and log homes too.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Natural materials always both look and feel nicer. There are often advantages to modern materials. Often it is just the price but sometimes weight durability things like that. I think most of us prefer more traditional materials most of the time. The Saami belt will also give a bit of back support for lifting and moving heavy things. I start to think of these things a lot more now I am getting olfer😂.
      Thanks for watching mate.

    I never kinda stop wondering why most of kydex sheaths ride so high on belt, though it isnt limited only on aftermarket kydex. Then the knives tend to be prone to rotate sideways or upsidedown due to point of weight of knife, especially on heavy handled / fulltang knives (paired with freely swinging or just fixed long/wide poorly fitting beltloop) , being set awkward. I rather see beltloops lowest point being on upper half of handle when you watch the knife so that blades point points down. Or, in optimal case, beltloop starts from pommel level. Then again, my perspective relates to carrying knife on belt, and often together with backpacks belt too. And in this case high riding knives often get between both the pants belt and backpack belt and that aint nice in any way.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Backpacks, dog pull belts and big coats. High riding sheaths are a nucence. I am thinking more of carrying this on my chest. I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to rig up aome kind of rigid sheath extension too. But you are right all of these kind of sheaths ride too high on the belt.

    Handy looking sheath! I like kydex type sheaths, I have to admit. I just like that rheyre waterproof. I know asthetically many people prefer leather...

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      I definitely aesthetically prefer leather, I do quite like the MO5 cammo pattern though and there are some advantages of these synthetic sheaths.
      Thanks for watching mate.

      Oh mate that sounds awesome, getting married doesn't so much. Been there done that and don't really see the point anymore. Swedish though, all of them ones are pretty tidy💃💃well that one looks Spanish 😂

    use loctite on the screws

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      I actually think I would rather check them often. I will be trying a tec-lol on this sheath wich will be coming straight off another knife. The ability to change things and the versatility are two of the main advantages of this kind of sheath to my mind. Nice to be able to change things easily.
      Thanks for the suggestion though and thanks for watching the video too.

    I'm more of a leather sheath. The sheath in the plastic like piece has its place to, but, leather is what I like

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Me too Joe, interesting to experiment with different materials and the thinness of this kind of sheath is a big plus. Aesthetically I really do like leather. But I also like the Mo5 pattern. Definitely a lot nicer than a plain black kydex. I don't think I will be too keen on this sheath (at least how it is now) in the summer on the belt because it just rides too high. For under a coat it is good as it is so thin. Also on a chest rig it may be good. My favourite winter carry so far is my Peltonen. Very versatile sheath (leather). This for me is a bit of an experiment and also always good to support small Finnish craftsmen when I can afford to.

    I have a light my fire ferro rod (bought it at Millets on a trip to UK 20 years ago !!)

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft

      Hi Andy, I wonder if Millets still exists? Not been to the UK for years (well not since lockdown at least).
      Swedish woman are tidy, but weddings are to be avoided I think.
      Thanks for watching mate and give that Jimmy a cuddle from me.
      In Mallorca I lived on site with 2 very large Mastiffs. One of them realised that play fights were usually on the cards when I came home stinking of alcohol. I had not long since broke up with my ex. It is so much nicer to come home late and drunk to a dog than a woman.

      Thanks for watching and for the comment mate. They are a little pricey. I can't say I have bought many of this kind of sheath though.
