I'm sad beyond words. Gutted. I saw Dolores for the first time in 1993, exactly one month before this video aired, at Club Rio in Tempe, Arizona, while living in the U.S. and I was able to speak to her very shortly after the gig, ie getting an autograph of her, because I was so impressed by her performance. The Cranberries were the opener for Suede and they blew my mind away, especially Dolores with her angel-like voice. After the 1993 tour with Suede, the Cranberries shot to fame. I am so glad I saw them during their peak time, in their hey days. Dolores was truly special and will be missed. Thank you for the music, Dolores. May you rest in peace :X
Dude! I was there too! I saw them at a "pool party" in west Phoenix earlier that day (or day before?). I was already in love with this band so I knew everywhere they'd be. I actually sat at a table and (tried) to talk to them. LOL, they did invite me to sit down at the table, but I was so nervous. Then I was right at the front of the stage at that show, thinking she remembered me from the pool party thing, thinking ... just dumb young guy things like they'd invite me backstage to hang. But what a band, what a woman, what a show. I still have an autograph from the flyer for that show, signed at the pool party (thrown by KUKQ maybe?) with my two tickets, framed. Crazy, we probably made eye contact at that show, both blown away by her. :)

I cannot believe this video has only had 230,000 views, it's an awsome and beautiful performance from a band basically just starting out, I think they had been around for 2 or 3 years at the time of this performance but, Dolores was only 22, and the blokes in the band were around the same age, but what a voice Dolores had at such a young age, to me she had the perfect voice for a song like linger, and I think she wrote it too, just such a beautiful performance from a band that were so young :) rip Dolores, she is sadly missed xo

One of those rare groups I can remember exactly when and where I heard them for the first time. It was "Zombie" and was on a disk that was included in a music magazine. The next day I bought there first two cds and still listen to them a lot.
I just found out she died. It is a sad day, although I don't believe anyone really dies she just will continue on in the next life, sorry to see you go Delores.
Great song, great band. One of the best female voices ever heard. They never put out a bad disc in my humble opinion. Remember when this disc came out, played it incessantly . This was the year my wife of now 25 years starting dating, this song and this disc will always remind me of that. Such a tragic loss... RIP Delores
@@vitorfernandes651 It’s a combination of things. The mix sounds terrible, not the singers fault. I can only imagine if the final product is that mediocre, what the stage mix is like. Those things effect ability no matter the talent. Like Eddie Van Halen playing a guitar tuned to different key, will sound like garbage, but he’s still a great player. She’s actually a great singer.

Have to concur with the rest of you. This is tragic, losing Dolores. Many think a certain person is cool, happening, etc., then they die. That is when you see what they REALLY are to you. This was (is) a GREAT woman, with a soul like Princess Di. God loved her dearly, and took her back. It was not her time for us, but it was for Him. "Rest in peace Homegirl."
