Wife of Eric, Jane here. Great video, especially for women who live in a warm climate in the Fall. Here in the Northeast, Fall is much cooler & often wet, so a closed toe shoe is a must.
Couldn’t agree more! Fall is usually cold in the northern states and I need to wear crew length socks and I feel that looks so frumpy with jeans that aren’t full length!

I have both of those jeans. I am 70 and won’t wear heels so I bought Skechers little Denim Loafers, and I have a Walmart Loafer in a skin type tone that was supposed to be blush.
How is the fit on the loader from Walmart? I need to try those out, I only wear skin tone shoes
@@fer8095 If it's the Time & Tru one w/ the rhinestone buckle across the top, then go up a size. I got them in blush pink & went up a whole size as reviews suggested. The 9 is a little too big but I can tell my normal 8 would be too small. Hope this helps.

I LOVE my straight leg and wide leg jeans and I wear them loooong, almost puddle length. Very flattering and comfortable.

I'm a bit older than you ladies so I have to just say 2 things I can't wrap my head around 1. The ripped knees. I think I takes away from the look. I don't care how thin you are or how much you dress it up it just doesn't work in my eyes. 2. Is Jean's as a night time look or dressed up look.

I am glad you made a video about straight leg jeans. That is all I wear! I have NEVER been a skinny jeans wearer. For one, I’m not skinny( my opinion is that they look best on a taller, slender woman, and I’m 5’3 and curvy), I find them very uncomfortable. You gave me some new ideas as so how to style straight leg jeans! Thank you! I love your channel!

I have the smaller one inch Gucci belts and hermes belts...in my opinion they are classics! Love the Valentino belt too! They are not out of style at all...I did sell my larger Gucci belts on fashionphile, but still love having designer belts in my collection.

If anyone is looking for traditional straight leg jeans, try Macy's Charter Club "Lexington" style. I have worn these for years and they come in colors too. Even though I am 5'2" the misses usually fit me better than the petite version. Macy's Style & Co. also has traditional straight leg jeans, usually with embellishment on back pockets. Wait for a sale!

For the past year I’ve been wearing slim straight jeans with a higher waist. My favorite is Levi’s 724. I’m interested in trying the Old Navy version you linked. I find these styles more flattering than the traditional skinny jeans which have been so popular for years.
My issue is that, when it gets cold, showing any skin at the ankle at all makes me cold.
I like the nude loafers.

Yes, I can imagine that isn't very practical for everyone. We are in S. FL so that's never an issue here. lol!

Can you do a video on belts? What size belts look best? Narrow, wide, big buckle or something more subtle. I am 5'5" and a curvy 150 lbs. I like to do a front tuck on some of my tops and would like to add a belt.

I just bought a pair of the traditional straight leg, I bought the long leg, but I still like the skinny jeans
Discouraged, this style shall pass me by. Finding the different cuts need different tops & shoes & would blow up my smallish wardrobe. Can't keep up ☹️
It's not for everyone and you certainly can wear any type of jeans because this season anything goes. I will tell you that I find the slimmer cut straight leg jeans that are cropped to the ankle to go with basically every shoe and top I own. They are currently my most worn pair of jeans.

So sorry, we missed the booties! You can absolutely style booties with these as well but we feel like they work best if you have a small sliver of skin between the jean and the boot whether you choose a slimmer fit or a looser fit.
I just got a pair of fabulous darker was slim straight jeans from the brand Mavi at Nordstrom. They fit perfectly which is rare for me as if they fit my thighs I always have a gap at the waist. On sale too! Just an option for you ladies if interested!♥️

I like straight leg jeans. I need jeans to be high rise more than 10 inches and 30 inches if I want them to fit just above the ankle and 32 to cover the ankle. A lot of jeans are 27 28 inseam and those are capris on me.

I'm wondering if clogs need to be put away during the Winter, or can you wear warm sox with them. It's one of the reasons I have not purchased clogs. I want to be able to wear them for more that early Spring and Fall.

Modern skinnies are being sold all over the place. It’s more of the jegging that hasn’t been worn.
You don't have to if you love them. They are a classic. But if you want to try a more modern trend then we think you'll love the slim straight. I still like my skinnies but I'm not reaching for them nearly as much now.

Definitely depends on your business. For us, they are totally appropriate for a fashion meeting but this probably only works in the creative fields.

I would say that we find the full length style to be difficult to wear with certain shoe styles. Not because you can't do it but because it doesn't flatter our body types. The slimmer style is a little easier to style and can pair with different boots and booties.

Dark wash is definitely a bit dressier and does exist. Christina and I tend to gravitate towards medium but that's really more a personal preference because we have very casual lifestyles.

I love straight leg jeans but it's so hard to find them in my size. I'm plus size and most of the stores are selling basically baggy skinny jeans, they're so tight in the calf, that's not a straight leg jean it should be loose. I found something that is ok on amazon but it's too big in the thighs and looks frumpy but i say ok because its at least not tight in my calf. ive considered buying boot cuts and getting them tailored then they'd fit right. i miss being 20 and everything magically fitting perfectly lol. Anyway I'm whining so ignore me, lol. Love your videos!

I love Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" style jeans. Since I'm in upstate NY, no skin showing for most of the winter. I style them over booties...a look that I like
Good tips - but where do you find slim, straight jeans? Loft doesn't have any - just loads of skinnies, a girlfriend jean and a kick flare. Old Navy didn't have one pair in my size in store. I do have two pairs - a Liverpool and an Absolution - but both of these came from a styling service which I have since cancelled, and neither company has any slim, straight, petites on line. Suggestions? Talbots do have slim, straights, but they are cut too big in the hip/thigh for me.
I just got a pair from Nordstrom, brand is Mavi. They were on sale too! I usually have trouble with a gap at the waist and these fit perfectly!

My favorite are the AG Mari straight leg jeans from Nordstrom which are linked in the description box. They are on the pricey side but I wear them so much that the cost per wear is very good. A lot of times you have to try them on to see because of course how they fit all depends on your body type.

Totally agree - not unless you work for an extremely laid back company, where everyone wears jeans to work every day.
It definitely depends on your business. If you are in a creative field it can definitely be appropriate. Our "business meetings" are very different than most because we are in the business of fashion so we see everything from ripped denim with heels to leather shorts to dresses .

Totally depends on your height and your personal preference. Straight leg can be worn either full length or cropped and are very fashionable either way. We both prefer slightly cropped just above the ankle bone because it allows us to style ours with basically any shoe style.

Kelli, I hope you didn't really "get rid" of your larger logo belts! They will come back in style and you are not overdoing it if it's the only "logo" you're wearing. I would think they were probably expensive, so I would not only keep them, but wear them this season. I've seen many fashion TH-camrs (e.g., Busbee Style) are showing them now.
Don't worry, I actually sold it on Fashionphile so it wasn't a big loss. I actually prefer the smaller logo belts but I do agree, for those that love them I'm sure they will come back around.

@@mickeyremich3039 I grew up participating in horsemanship events, wearing cowboy boots, and the jeans I wore were straight cut - wide enough to go over the top of my boots, but they did not have a flair at the bottom and were not called flaired jeans. Look at the Lee brand jeans, which is the brand true cowboys wear. They do not have a flair at the bottom.
We recently did a jeans video and noticed that the bootcut style is now more of a true bootcut and the one with the flare is called flare jeans. These however were more straight leg. Old Navy kicker bootcut is really the traditional bootcut which is only wide enough to fit over a boot.
