Beautiful work! I use Testors dull coat, with a brush, over the tire decals. Of course with the help of setting solution, and softener. I’ve always built race cars. Mostly American V8s, but your build has got me excited about trying this kit. I’ve been watching your videos for years, and I’m most likely not current, but watching your videos is relaxing to me, and really informative. Keep up the great work!!!
I like a matte clear coat and then a slight scuff with 1200 grit sand paper to help with a raced look. I love a used tire look even on clean paint job models for race inspired builds.
to avoid having the decals fall off, I think you can spray the tire with gloss clear first, then setting the decals and to once they're set you spray it with alight coat of matt coat. I have seen this before and it doesn't look bad at all.
This build looks awesome. I watched all three videos and was very impressed by the detail including the carbon fiber decals which looked like a pain. All in all a very clean build. Enjoyed it. Take care and happy modeling.
Great build regardless of how many race cars you have built. Looks really good and I enjoyed the build and seeing some of the optional parts you used to enhance the kit. Well done
MRKchallenger The turbos have no resemblance with the real deal. In fact, the whole engine bay is a very poor reflection of the real engine. Trust me, I’ve done a ton of research on this particular car
Lukas Garage They did make it, but in a very abstracted manner. The turbo his the circular object at the end of the exhaust part. I think they didn’t care because you can hardly see it
Beautiful build. I agree as I also have recently started building race cars and it is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone as well. Thanks for the inspiring builds.
GREAT build!!! I'm always amazed at how parts seem to fit together perfectly for you. I have big fingers so I end up using my tweezers for most of my small parts. I'm getting ready to build that model so I definitely wanted to watch it. Btw, the seat belts look great.
Done differently? Absolutely nothing! Your build is perfect as it is. Great work. I don't do a lot of race stuff either and this would be so far out of comfort it would hurt! 😂
Hey Tom. Car looks amazing. You are a gifted model builder. Have you noticed any difference between the BSI CA's. I've noticed you using Maxi Cure and was just curious if that was a personal preference or just what you wound up with??
I do like racing cars, and I have to say, I would not have attempted that, too many decals to rip whilst applying or fold over on themselves so you cannot place them. Brilliant work as ever Tom, expecially as it took you out of your comfort zone.
I prefer the race car kits. It just feels more satisfying putting more decals on. I also think there are only so many different road car looks you can do
I have been following you for a while and I honestly think this is one of your best. I do make a lot of race cars (see my channel 😂) and I know how challenging they can be. I'm not sure if you did, but looking at reference pictures of the real car is so helpful when making it as accurate as possible. Keep it up, you were one of my inspirations for building models and getting on to TH-cam myself! Thanks! Thomas
What is the difference between the blue and red bottle of decal solutions? I commented on part 2 of this build about decals, asking how you get the decals to form and then found these bottles in your list of things you used.
you mention that you dont yet have a fix for the tire decals. I usually use matte clearcoat which you can either spray on or (and that works wwwwwreally well) paint that on with a brush There is also something interesting to me: now you are way above my level of building but yet you kinda duck out on things like carbon in the front lights, or matte clearcoat above the sponsor decals on the side (on the carbon). Is that simply down to laziness or do you have another reason for that?
Lo felicito el resultado es excelente, el producto final insuperable una belleza este Ford GT Le Mans , muy buenos sus videos, saludos desde Venezuela.
Damn that looks pretty schmick. I definitely wouldn't have the patience at this point to go through the carbon fibre decals. But the end product is definitely worth it. My next car project is the Tamiya Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII WRC (24257) once I get around to finishing my Revell Emirates A380 Wildlife Livery kit
I always think that it is such a shame that all that work, & detailing, under the body shell ends up being covered over &, therefore, not seen & appreciated. Maybe, a clear plastic body shell would be an 'interesting' model option?
Stunning purple colour and decals. Looks brilliant.
These videos of this build will come in handy when I get into my Wynn/ Keating car kit.

When I do tire decals I use a dull coat spray on the tire after the decal has dried.Really cool build!
Same here, works well.

Absolutely a peace of Art !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice finish Tom. I plan to build mine box stock someday soon .
Superb livery. Fantastic rendering as usual. Very nice.

It's a shame this project has come to an end. Really enjoyed watching this one come together. Great finish. One to be proud of

Nice job! Just a remark for Revell: twin-turbos are missing 😁
Turbo are there but very heavily abstracted (on the part with the exhaust)
@@racefanrob well it does not seem turbo for me... I compared the kit with the real engine and no match found.
MRKchallenger The turbos have no resemblance with the real deal. In fact, the whole engine bay is a very poor reflection of the real engine. Trust me, I’ve done a ton of research on this particular car
Maybe they Revell was not allowed to duplicate it .. kinda like Tamiya on the Ferrari sf70 model
Lukas Garage They did make it, but in a very abstracted manner. The turbo his the circular object at the end of the exhaust part. I think they didn’t care because you can hardly see it
I think this may be your best one yet. This is beautiful.
Nice job! That would make a fantastic 1/24 slot car. It looks awesome.👍
Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this build.
Another Beautiful Build!!! Really Nice Work!!!
Beautiful build. I agree as I also have recently started building race cars and it is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone as well. Thanks for the inspiring builds.
You are crazy good! That is a great looking build. I don't know how you handle those tiny parts and small decals.
Awesome excellent work😍😍

Compliment. Masterpiece. Especially the decals.
Nice detail! This kit builds up good and looks like fun!
I have one of these in my stock pile and want to go with this livery but the super detail up set is expensive
That just looks unbelievably good. Well done. Thank you!
Well done!
Another great video of a beautiful model that was a joy to watch.
Breathtaking bro...
Finally, the video i who's waiting for :)
This is absolutely stunning work! Keep it up!
Great build for such an ill fitting model. Excellent.

I love your video of the 1970 dodge charger from fast and the furious

A thing of beauty!
Absolutely amazing 💕
Amazing build as always. Looking forward to the next model kit (hope you release some hints on the new model kit you will build)
Whaouuu excellent job and very beautiful car. I love it

Spectacular result, I loved it!

Very nice build ! I wish there was a livery for this car that I would like ...
Please do the evo 7 2fast 2furious!!!

How do you thin your Vallejo paints for brush painting?
Great movie, I also used to build models when I was young, now there is no time for that ... :(
This is a stunning build. Are you planning to do the tamiya normal road GT at some point?
That looks great nice job on it

Blue goes underneath the decals to help soften snd stick. Red goes on top to soften and conform
@@TheScalemodelingChannel ok awesome! Thank you.
Hope to see you do an s14 or s15 soonish
Very stunning built!
Nice work!

Excellent

I waited for it and it is always amazing 😍
Looks clean race car
Do you have an amazon Canada affiliate?
So very nice
Ziet er goed uit hoor. Beter dan die van mij
Maybe some classic car from AMT in next video?

Build a 1977 Bandit Trans AM, that would be awesome.
Can it move
yo, that is a bad ass
BMW M3 GTR NFS
Build a Knight Rider K.I.T.T
😃😃🖒🖒
The build is amazing! But to add more funk to this car I'd add a bunch of MAGA decals
My like 4
2!
I'll bet you are really sick of carbon fiber decals about now!
First!
Well done!
