Looking forward to this build (I do wish Revell would start using top opening boxes; much easier to remove parts and put them back in the box again).

So looking forward to seeing what you do with this kit.. one thing I have considered is cyutting the door bottoms off the rear body moulding and gluing them to the bottom of the doors pre-painting, that way you get a nice seamless join on the finished model

love you vids...you are the preeminent model builder on youtube...i do have a question...what type of paint should i be using to touch up and detail diecast models...i have seen you wipe away a little too much paint without smearing the surface...what types of paint do you recommend i use to avoid smearing...thank you...looking forward to this build...

I got mine yesterday and I got completely different instructions. What I got is a vert vague, non helpful manual in black and white, not even noting which color code paint to use, just plain color description. I''m assuming I have an old instruction set? even though it says 2018. Also, the color it says to spray inside the vehicle is black, the actual decals to place on the inside are dark so you can barely see them, the box is a completely different color and the electronics boxes are painted, whereas the instructions only say to paint black.

How long does it take you to fully assemble/paint/etc.. a model from start to finish?

Hey Tom. Can't wait for the build. Had a question about Zero Paints. I recently purchased quite a bit based mostly on your amazing results and, the question I had was?
Is it always safer to wait longer (15-20) minutes between coats than it is to lay them down quickly (5-10) minutes? I've heard you mention this especially concerning light colors and was just curious if this is "always" a safer bet? One other question. You always suggest 48-72 hours after the diamond clear coat. Being that is quite s wide window.. Is there a deciding factor to know for sure when 48 hours will suffice?
    Thank you.

15-20 is always the best best
Feel it. To see if its hard enough

@@TheScalemodelingChannel okay, will do for sure. Thank you. I know you are a super talented builder and, realize you also have years of experience but, watching the ease and common sense with which you paint makes it seem like I have a reasonable shot at getting good results. However, I hear so many conflicting reports about some builder having trouble with certain colors (matt & semi-gloss black etc..If you would make a list of 4 or 5 "Golden Rules" when airbrushing using Zero paints.. what would those be??
      Thanks again, very much.

How do you spray, zero paints semi gloss black and Matt black? I’m really struggling with getting it right, either too thick, too dry, it never comes out great and I always dread using them. Any tips?

I you want to go super detailed, Scale Motorsport do a high detail kit. I’m not skilled enough to do a super detail kit justice but I’m sure you are.
