Croydon Wholesalers Nissan Skyline GT-R Test Session

This is our Croydon Wholesalers Racing Nissan Skyline GT-R during a private test session at Champion Dragway, Meremere, South Auckland, during 2002 with the new Holinger 6-speed sequential box. Glenn Suckling is practicing high-gear burnouts and launching techniques. At this time the Skyline was still running the T88-34D turbo with assistance from NOS to spool up. A fun day had by all! He actually wrote me a letter while I was working at Zoom telling me that. It's a shame, I'll never forget the noise standing @ 3/4 track QLD Jamboree on the 8.55 second pass. Never, ever! Insane car and yes, one of the best drag R32's to ever exist, I totally agree.

I wish.... sadly, there's very little chance the Skyline will run again in competition- at least, under Nick's ownership. It achieved everything we'd ever hoped to do, we had a bundle of fun doing it, but at the end of the day the mighty dollar has to dictate, and there was no justification to keep spending what we would have had to to remain competitive. But don't rule it out, either, you never know..... Cheers, thanks for watching!
