Hi Z, should I get these Swan OS10 or the Swan M10plus for a small room? I do prioritise sub-bass, because I listen to mostly Dubstep and DnB. Both speakers are easily available here in China where I'm studying.
The absurdities in this one video is making me crazy. 1st guy owns a family size studio room all to himself, 2nd he has RANDOM pictures of strange girls hanging around his room, he talks to himself too much but nothing about that one speaker he is reviewing, and lastly why does he have so many speakers? Fortunately I got mine today glad I got in on it. I regret not ordering 2 sets to give my daughter. I don't think I can let this one leave me. Very balanced doesn't really need eq adjustments imo. I have a exos-9 I think I will be selling. This guy is perfect in my bedroom. For $150 this was definitely a no brainer. Let's just say 🤯

I can't believe these are this cheap, these sound amazing! The remote is unreliable if you need to change the volume frequently. I'll have to add a passive volume knob between the speakers and dac to fix that. I'm upgrading from the MB42X's you recommended over 7 years ago. Crazy how time flies.
I just got a pair and my brother got a pair. I have mine on my desk and they sound good. But my brothers are sitting on some stands in the basement and they sound INSANE, we A/B'd them between the ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 with the Topping E30 DAC, and Yamaha AS301 integrated and there is very little difference. If you get these, let them have some room, give them space to breathe and they will sound magnificent. Thank you Zeos once again :)
That burst at around 8:30 was . . . unreal. If that's how they sound over TH-cam (even into HD660S headphones), then I'm definitely getting a pair for my wife. For the moment I'll stay with my NVA amps into the old Wharfdale Pacifics, but if I ever need to downsize I know where to look. In my family giraffes are called "Boys-a-boys" because that's what I came out with the first time I saw one in Kenya when I was a year old 😂
This pair just arrived 4 days ago. Finally got to order it after months being out of stock. Now that I've been using it for 3 days listening to music across many genres, I'd say that they sound great to me. My room is around 4m x 4m, pretty small room, so that 62W doesn't bother me. However, I noticed that every time I tried pop/hip-hop songs that are bass-heavy, a certain noise comes out of the right powered unit. Turns out that noise comes out of the tiny hole that I assume is the IR receiver. Now I'm trying to figure out what's gonna be the best way to close the tiny hole without affecting the remote use. A piece of insulator tape might work, but I'm trying to keep adhesives off the beautiful speaker. Anyone facing the same issue & managed to solve it?
@@aing2009the IR receiver on the powered unit has a small hole that isn’t sealed. It’s really not a problem at this price point like he said cover with transparent tape. I found at out listening near field the noise and was concerned I covered the hole with my finger problem solved. Otherwise they sound fantastic just tape it
I still have my Swan Diva’s from around 2006 when I purchased them. The 5.2 towers as fronts, 4.2 towers for rears, 5.2C for center and still sound amazing. HiVi in China is the parent and knows what they are doing……
true, if youre sure the speakers/phones are capable then just upgrade the rest, good phones/ciems can easily produce/display even slightest improvement
almost got D100s....TBH this is growing more and more in the direction i wished....smaller/better/more ideal for home/room use....while being able to budget for something usable/affordable for gig/SHOW use. Its been too long and now is finally the time that we have affordable/portable/performance. Racing sim setup/gaming/tv bring them down for get-togethers during the holidays for some good music/entertainment. W.O having to drop stacks on desktop monitors+gear+ larger speakers if you want to pursue an amateur career at dj/audio production. You can effectively afford so much more $$$ towards other necessary investments in your audio passion/needs. Just glad ive waited long enough...it first started with BT/powered/individual DSP "budget" options as a detachment from "BUDGET" stand alone monitors/shelf speaker options....and now after some time we have something like this on our hands. "priced" up there with the portable BT speaker/pod portable noise box....price point. The level of usability and value these offer is unmatched, idk if saving 30$ is even worth it to me vs being able to get my hands on them in the first place NGL...though at 120$ thats quite the nominal bargain. I guess im in no RUSH then again a sale would definitely pull my leg. The closer i get to an ideal 4k tv for a racing sim setup and a DD wheel....the closer i am to considering monitors like these. Im still pretty vested in headphone use and being "democratic" to my household. But once i get a bit more serious with developing some driving skills/acumen as well as fiddling with music production. These really have my attention from a value standpoint and more importantly from a pure lifetime/intent to own/use aspect, Which i generally think pushes most customers/end users as the larger driving/motivating principle to why most ppl would buy/spend on something that arent as passionate/liberal with their audio expenditures, or are comfortable trying stuff out/selling second hand or forgoing a return process etc. So really this product isnt just good for those in the KNOW as far as what theyre getting/spending on....but given its price point/segment its also appealing to those not in the KNOW...or a would be gateway into hifi for most consumers/customers. Its actually nice to see given the amount of 200-500$ monitor reviews/vids/sales ive seen/passed up on in the last 3 years waiting for 4k tvs to go down in price and relatively up in performance.....as did the 10" or less monitor segment; if not its improved even faster than the time its taken for OLED tvs to equate to mainstream standards/pricing.

Would be awesome to see how they chart / measured sound ..but it's fun seeing you react and express the raw experience instead of looking at a Klippel graph.. lol =) YES... Cloth covered. yup just got some 1 more triple driver on ears bc they were so cheap on their site on a WHIM bc i always wanted them...and now these are out, granted the 120$ sale price is pretty hard to come by in stock..even at 149$ they really have my attention...defenitely made it to the TOP of my list of "stuff to buy" once i put enough tips aside a few months down the road. XD i can always count on zeos....to help restructure the list for me...i had the swan D100s in my top 5...Im trying to be more "frugal" by w.e that regard even means. LOL but in the sense if i put some tips aside like 100$ a month...in 3 months id have some spare $$$ for "better" monitors....now i can afford something like these new swans and save towards a newer/gen BT 5.0 Dac potentially a stack. Which is on my list of audio priorities. By that regard i most definitely feel spoiled XD...even when covid first hit what 500-700$ could get you in total....to now creeping into 2023...is pretty astonishing...as far as destkop dac/amp options potential 150-300$ headphone options and some 100-200$ speakers options. You can really be SET up nicely for what used to cost you enough for a STACK decent open back HP and some "budget" speakers"...esp pre covid or pre 2015. As far as my "list" when i was first getting into stuff and was all hyped on my drop K7XX first editions as my entry. Its such a blessing to just be patient work on other things/goals in life....and just wake up to PERFORMANCE at this price/size...to re-define cost/performance of what is considered ideal for home/room/office use while being able to avert big price tags and expensive gear.
The set I ordered is apparently arriving tomorrow! The original delivery date was in the second week of January. I wonder why they overestimated the shipping time so much. Doesn't really matter I guess. Looking forward to trying them out this weekend!
Very nice. I bought the Jamo S803 brand new a few weeks ago at $80 so I can’t justify pulling the trigger on these, but it’s in the same price as RB42s so these would have been on the running for my money if I had known about them at the time. Saved some money.
Compared to the M10 plus (just picked up) - OS-10 or M10 plus, which do you prefer for desktop/near listening, and which for larger room/further back listening?
I saw these but I already have the D1100 (yes, 1100, not 100), which are the same size and amp so I passed on them. Cool to see they sound really good as well.
Man it sucks to live in EU sometimes... RB42s, so many other speakers and now these... I wish there was a good way to get them in the EU. Compared to other stuff, are they still worth 250 dollars with shipping and import? Currently using Atom SEs

Thanks Zeos! I made two great purchases $1,000 for Von Schweikert VR-4 Generation 2 on Albert’s ( RIP Albert) suggestion, even when I was discussing a higher priced speaker he told me these were better. And the Os-10s for $169.99. I am a very happy camper.
Would be interesting to know what our best options are in Europe. Sure, we can get Edifier s3000, a boatload of klipsch/B&W/B&O/Dali, but non seem to be as good an option as some of the top tier stuff you are teasing us with. :)
I detected clear compression on Bluetooth, sure it's on LG C1 so prob not the best Bluetooth option ever but direct compared to optical and RCA I can hear clear sibilance with BT.

I'm really glad I saw this video today, cause I already convinced myself in my head that I needed the Q-Acoustics M2 and while I do want them I would literally go broke buying them. Thank you for always highlighting affordable audio Z! I'm currently waiting for my Sennheiser 6XX and ifi Zen Dac so I can finally have my first headphone setup. I'm definitely going to look at these next. Quick question, would you go for these over something like AudioEngine A2+ or equivalent hands down?
Unless you're only going to be playing at low volume, wouldn't you at least want the option of a sub? My desktop setup is Senn HD650, along with Vanatoo T0 (also Zeos recommended) and Cambridge Minx201. Definitely more expensive than Swans, but you gotta consider if you want bass below like 100hz.
@@AeroCluster The specific one's he's looking at--the Swans in this vid--don't have sub out OR regular binding posts for speaker level subs--and they're powered speakers. To me, you lose value to work around that... basically would have to split a 3.5mm and then 3.5mm to RCA. Looks like shit then and makes functionality pointless. But to each their own I suppose. Dumb of Swan to not include sub out really.
@@svalbard01 Probably relatively low volume, just because my room isn't too large. I have a record player and my other audio source would just be bluetooth Tidal. Right now I'm just running a u-turn orbit through my old bass amp just to be able to hear anything. I definitely was thinking of the option of a sub for sure, but I think realistically it would just be too much for just my room.

i hook this . pc - dac (e10k) - t5 edifier sub(LPF at 60hz, 0 phase) - os10 .. much better than by previous hk soundstick3 (probably aging)! its good enough and really best bank for my buck. might try to upgrade dac next but am already satisfy with this full range + sub experience

I have a computer editing setup that doubles as a small home theater setup in my tiny apartment and I'm wondering your thoughts on these speakers vs the Kanto Tuk. I use my 27" computer monitor as the TV hooked up to Apple TV and I use my desktop MS40 Behringer Stereo monitors through an HDMI splitter to get coaxial out for TV. I use the optical connection for computer and coaxial for TV. The Behringer monitors don't have bluetooth or a remote, so there are some annoying work arounds I've done which don't bother me while sitting at my 🖥 but are super annoying when sitting on my couch (which is only about 5' away from desk). I've had this setup for several years, it's a secondary TV area and is mostly setup for video editing. I'm looking to upgrade my setup, get rid of the splitter, gain remote control but still retain the dual purpose setup. The TUK look perfect for my needs, but are so much more $ and if these OS-10 are even nearly as good or better at this price point... then it's a no brainer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
Back in stock at Amazon. Optical sounds better than AUX. AUX input is about 70-80% as good as digital. I am thinking the AUX/ANALOG input gets converted to digital so it is a longer signal path with a mediocre Analog to Digital converter. Will follow up after burn in.

The answer is they don't. If you had a choice between these and the LSR305s its the JBLs every time. Unless you need a smaller speaker with Bluetooth because you can't be bothered with any Bluetooth module then maybe. Otherwise be happy with your LSR305s which are clearly and easily better. I think I am putting these next to my google home in the kitchen. Not in any space I plan to actually listen to music.

I have no idea how this video ended up in my feed but I bought these damn things today because of you! I've never even heard of Swans speakers before. After I bought these, I saw some other Swans, M20-5.1MKII 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System. I can't find a video on these anywhere but if you know anything, I would appreciate it. Just got these bad boys the other week and seems that Optical input is superior than BT and AUX. Reference track is Mountains from Interstellar. The peak in the track is somewhat supressed in BT and AUX but is mind blowing thru Optical. Can someone please verify because I am trying to look for a USB to Optical or Coax cost effective solution right now.
I simply connect their included toslink cable to the port on my motherboard and the quality is there. However the overall enjoyment is still slightly lesser than my currently 8+ year old faulty m50w from swanspeakers that was connected by 3.5mm . Previously tried to connect a low end USB DAC that had a toslink out as well, but even that died on me not long after I bought my OS-10s.
i just ordered these they sound amazing. Only problem is i noticed the frequency response cuts out at 60hz. Do you have any recommendations for a budget sub woofer that would sound good under a desk?
@@hifiman4562 I have the same issue with these Swans. The bass is weak on some songs. I mostly use my Shanling DAP with aptX and LDAC capabilities with these Swans, which may be the reason for poor bass response. I noticed that these don't have sub-out. So, can you please let me know how can I connect a subwoofer to them if my source is the Shanling DAP?
I mean honestly behind a curtain if you had to guess. The KEF would probably have more detail. But on bass and sound presentation probably real hard to tell apart
It appears that Swan has halted shipments, and canceled availability due to the high volume of sales. My guess, they will be available at most purchase points in the next 30 days with revised pricing unfortunately. I missed out on the cheap introductory pricing again, ugh!!

I need some new desktop speakers for my office, after seeing your reviews on the OS-10 I looked if I can source some to the UK. I have found a supplier who I can import from but will take a little while, before I start the process I thought I’d ask your opinion. So I’m looking at the Swans or the AudioEngine A2+ which I can get locally. Need something small with at least two inputs not too bothered about Bluetooth. Are swan OS 10 still the best option ? just finished rewatching Interstellar with these... goddamn im missing out a lot, i have a lot of kilobuck iem and headphones, both Z1Rs, T1, ADX5000, Andro, Ocharaku and etc etc and man there's just something a 2 channel can do that they all can't... chest pounding bass, and its from a tiny 4 inch! XD i should get a subwoofer and connect it to my TA-ZH1ES input so i can use it with both these swan or any of my other cans XD this is the first time i rewatch Interstellar afer its first showing 9 years ago, and man with my LG C1 as the screen i feel like i got the best home experience i can get like ever..... and i just watched Dune a month ago with the same TV with my Z1R, I know its bad to compare the two, with interstellar's audio visual being such a stellar thing XD but man im more glued to the seat rewatching this than any movie ive had first watch of for the last year

i’m getting the d200 for my living room. have d100 at the office so i kinda love swan’s tweeters now, i need to search for their car speakers next year....and these speakers look meh. i could see it blend in some homes and a 4 inch midwoofer has many limitations. you can't push max volume and experience only on axis sound like your basement. I tested rb42 in 3 rooms at work on a weekend and finally gifted it to someone.
probably, he didnt speak of the Airpulse A100, which are $500usd in my country (lot less in asia), while the MR4 are barely $150 usd in my country (it seems the MR4 are sold as Airpulse MR4 in asia), so if it slain a $500 usd, it surely slay a $150.
Zeus, when reviewing the Edifier Airpulse A100, please tell us which DAC's should we pair it up with.... The Aune X1S really unlocks these speakers potential.... The USB is crap. I'm really suprised with the complements these speakers get from other TH-camrs who just hook them up directly to a computer.... Makes me wonder how they would sound on a SMSL M500 mark 1 which has double the sampling rate of what my Aune X1S gives...

I can't believe these are this cheap, these sound amazing! The remote is unreliable if you need to change the volume frequently. I'll have to add a passive volume knob between the speakers and dac to fix that.

I just got a pair and my brother got a pair. I have mine on my desk and they sound good. But my brothers are sitting on some stands in the basement and they sound INSANE, we A/B'd them between the ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 with the Topping E30 DAC, and Yamaha AS301 integrated and there is very little difference. If you get these, let them have some room, give them space to breathe and they will sound magnificent. Thank you Zeos once again :)

This pair just arrived 4 days ago. Finally got to order it after months being out of stock.
Now that I've been using it for 3 days listening to music across many genres, I'd say that they sound great to me. My room is around 4m x 4m, pretty small room, so that 62W doesn't bother me. However, I noticed that every time I tried pop/hip-hop songs that are bass-heavy, a certain noise comes out of the right powered unit. Turns out that noise comes out of the tiny hole that I assume is the IR receiver. Now I'm trying to figure out what's gonna be the best way to close the tiny hole without affecting the remote use. A piece of insulator tape might work, but I'm trying to keep adhesives off the beautiful speaker. Anyone facing the same issue & managed to solve it?
I fixed it by using transparent tape. I know it’s there but you can’t see it.
Certain noise? What kind of noise is it? Thinking about a pair but rather not buy if there’s an issue out of the box.
@@aing2009the IR receiver on the powered unit has a small hole that isn’t sealed. It’s really not a problem at this price point like he said cover with transparent tape. I found at out listening near field the noise and was concerned I covered the hole with my finger problem solved. Otherwise they sound fantastic just tape it
I still have my Swan Diva’s from around 2006 when I purchased them. The 5.2 towers as fronts, 4.2 towers for rears, 5.2C for center and still sound amazing. HiVi in China is the parent and knows what they are doing……

true, if youre sure the speakers/phones are capable then just upgrade the rest, good phones/ciems can easily produce/display even slightest improvement
almost got D100s....TBH this is growing more and more in the direction i wished....smaller/better/more ideal for home/room use....while being able to budget for something usable/affordable for gig/SHOW use. Its been too long and now is finally the time that we have affordable/portable/performance. Racing sim setup/gaming/tv bring them down for get-togethers during the holidays for some good music/entertainment. W.O having to drop stacks on desktop monitors+gear+ larger speakers if you want to pursue an amateur career at dj/audio production. You can effectively afford so much more $$$ towards other necessary investments in your audio passion/needs. Just glad ive waited long enough...it first started with BT/powered/individual DSP "budget" options as a detachment from "BUDGET" stand alone monitors/shelf speaker options....and now after some time we have something like this on our hands. "priced" up there with the portable BT speaker/pod portable noise box....price point. The level of usability and value these offer is unmatched, idk if saving 30$ is even worth it to me vs being able to get my hands on them in the first place NGL...though at 120$ thats quite the nominal bargain. I guess im in no RUSH then again a sale would definitely pull my leg. The closer i get to an ideal 4k tv for a racing sim setup and a DD wheel....the closer i am to considering monitors like these. Im still pretty vested in headphone use and being "democratic" to my household. But once i get a bit more serious with developing some driving skills/acumen as well as fiddling with music production. These really have my attention from a value standpoint and more importantly from a pure lifetime/intent to own/use aspect, Which i generally think pushes most customers/end users as the larger driving/motivating principle to why most ppl would buy/spend on something that arent as passionate/liberal with their audio expenditures, or are comfortable trying stuff out/selling second hand or forgoing a return process etc. So really this product isnt just good for those in the KNOW as far as what theyre getting/spending on....but given its price point/segment its also appealing to those not in the KNOW...or a would be gateway into hifi for most consumers/customers. Its actually nice to see given the amount of 200-500$ monitor reviews/vids/sales ive seen/passed up on in the last 3 years waiting for 4k tvs to go down in price and relatively up in performance.....as did the 10" or less monitor segment; if not its improved even faster than the time its taken for OLED tvs to equate to mainstream standards/pricing.
Love it. We are totally spoiled in HiFi options these days. Incredible how many options there are.. Would be awesome to see how they chart / measured sound ..but it's fun seeing you react and express the raw experience instead of looking at a Klippel graph.. lol =)

yup just got some 1 more triple driver on ears bc they were so cheap on their site on a WHIM bc i always wanted them...and now these are out, granted the 120$ sale price is pretty hard to come by in stock..even at 149$ they really have my attention...defenitely made it to the TOP of my list of "stuff to buy" once i put enough tips aside a few months down the road. XD i can always count on zeos....to help restructure the list for me...i had the swan D100s in my top 5...Im trying to be more "frugal" by w.e that regard even means. LOL but in the sense if i put some tips aside like 100$ a month...in 3 months id have some spare $$$ for "better" monitors....now i can afford something like these new swans and save towards a newer/gen BT 5.0 Dac potentially a stack. Which is on my list of audio priorities. By that regard i most definitely feel spoiled XD...even when covid first hit what 500-700$ could get you in total....to now creeping into 2023...is pretty astonishing...as far as destkop dac/amp options potential 150-300$ headphone options and some 100-200$ speakers options. You can really be SET up nicely for what used to cost you enough for a STACK decent open back HP and some "budget" speakers"...esp pre covid or pre 2015. As far as my "list" when i was first getting into stuff and was all hyped on my drop K7XX first editions as my entry. Its such a blessing to just be patient work on other things/goals in life....and just wake up to PERFORMANCE at this price/size...to re-define cost/performance of what is considered ideal for home/room/office use while being able to avert big price tags and expensive gear.

Very nice. I bought the Jamo S803 brand new a few weeks ago at $80 so I can’t justify pulling the trigger on these, but it’s in the same price as RB42s so these would have been on the running for my money if I had known about them at the time. Saved some money.

Thanks Zeos! I made two great purchases $1,000 for Von Schweikert VR-4 Generation 2 on Albert’s ( RIP Albert) suggestion, even when I was discussing a higher priced speaker he told me these were better. And the Os-10s for $169.99. I am a very happy camper.

Sure, we can get Edifier s3000, a boatload of klipsch/B&W/B&O/Dali, but non seem to be as good an option as some of the top tier stuff you are teasing us with. :)

I detected clear compression on Bluetooth, sure it's on LG C1 so prob not the best Bluetooth option ever but direct compared to optical and RCA I can hear clear sibilance with BT.
Just got them yesterday must admit they are damn clear and powerful for a small set of speakers

I'm definitely going to look at these next. Quick question, would you go for these over something like AudioEngine A2+ or equivalent hands down?
Unless you're only going to be playing at low volume, wouldn't you at least want the option of a sub? My desktop setup is Senn HD650, along with Vanatoo T0 (also Zeos recommended) and Cambridge Minx201. Definitely more expensive than Swans, but you gotta consider if you want bass below like 100hz.
@@svalbard01 Your speakers don't need a sub out to add a sub to your setup. Having one makes it easier, but it's not a hard requirement.
@@AeroCluster The specific one's he's looking at--the Swans in this vid--don't have sub out OR regular binding posts for speaker level subs--and they're powered speakers. To me, you lose value to work around that... basically would have to split a 3.5mm and then 3.5mm to RCA. Looks like shit then and makes functionality pointless. But to each their own I suppose. Dumb of Swan to not include sub out really.
@@svalbard01 Probably relatively low volume, just because my room isn't too large. I have a record player and my other audio source would just be bluetooth Tidal. Right now I'm just running a u-turn orbit through my old bass amp just to be able to hear anything. I definitely was thinking of the option of a sub for sure, but I think realistically it would just be too much for just my room.

i hook this . pc - dac (e10k) - t5 edifier sub(LPF at 60hz, 0 phase) - os10 .. much better than by previous hk soundstick3 (probably aging)! its good enough and really best bank for my buck. might try to upgrade dac next but am already satisfy with this full range + sub experience

I have a computer editing setup that doubles as a small home theater setup in my tiny apartment and I'm wondering your thoughts on these speakers vs the Kanto Tuk. I use my 27" computer monitor as the TV hooked up to Apple TV and I use my desktop MS40 Behringer Stereo monitors through an HDMI splitter to get coaxial out for TV. I use the optical connection for computer and coaxial for TV. The Behringer monitors don't have bluetooth or a remote, so there are some annoying work arounds I've done which don't bother me while sitting at my 🖥 but are super annoying when sitting on my couch (which is only about 5' away from desk). I've had this setup for several years, it's a secondary TV area and is mostly setup for video editing. I'm looking to upgrade my setup, get rid of the splitter, gain remote control but still retain the dual purpose setup. The TUK look perfect for my needs, but are so much more $ and if these OS-10 are even nearly as good or better at this price point... then it's a no brainer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Back in stock at Amazon. Optical sounds better than AUX. AUX input is about 70-80% as good as digital. I am thinking the AUX/ANALOG input gets converted to digital so it is a longer signal path with a mediocre Analog to Digital converter. Will follow up after burn in.

I want to say YES but the 305 have been a goat for years. Only one way to find out.
The answer is they don't. If you had a choice between these and the LSR305s its the JBLs every time. Unless you need a smaller speaker with Bluetooth because you can't be bothered with any Bluetooth module then maybe. Otherwise be happy with your LSR305s which are clearly and easily better. I think I am putting these next to my google home in the kitchen. Not in any space I plan to actually listen to music.
Hi Zeos, is there any wool or something in the back port of your speaker? Mine is like stuffed with wool or something after some 3 months usage, but I've didn't notice the sound change or something.

I mean both are great. THESE are a bit more quality. The Micros are for extreme small and travelability.

Just got these bad boys the other week and seems that Optical input is superior than BT and AUX. Reference track is Mountains from Interstellar. The peak in the track is somewhat supressed in BT and AUX but is mind blowing thru Optical. Can someone please verify because I am trying to look for a USB to Optical or Coax cost effective solution right now.
I simply connect their included toslink cable to the port on my motherboard and the quality is there. However the overall enjoyment is still slightly lesser than my currently 8+ year old faulty m50w from swanspeakers that was connected by 3.5mm .
Previously tried to connect a low end USB DAC that had a toslink out as well, but even that died on me not long after I bought my OS-10s.

Get the Emotiva se8. Set the high pass crossover to 80hz.
@@hifiman4562 I have the same issue with these Swans. The bass is weak on some songs. I mostly use my Shanling DAP with aptX and LDAC capabilities with these Swans, which may be the reason for poor bass response. I noticed that these don't have sub-out. So, can you please let me know how can I connect a subwoofer to them if my source is the Shanling DAP?

I mean honestly behind a curtain if you had to guess. The KEF would probably have more detail. But on bass and sound presentation probably real hard to tell apart

It appears that Swan has halted shipments, and canceled availability due to the high volume of sales. My guess, they will be available at most purchase points in the next 30 days with revised pricing unfortunately. I missed out on the cheap introductory pricing again, ugh!!
Well let's hope they do better than the d1090. A bunch of us bought them when they first came out then they were basically never available again

So I’m looking at the Swans or the AudioEngine A2+ which I can get locally. Need something small with at least two inputs not too bothered about Bluetooth.

just finished rewatching Interstellar with these... goddamn im missing out a lot, i have a lot of kilobuck iem and headphones, both Z1Rs, T1, ADX5000, Andro, Ocharaku and etc etc and man there's just something a 2 channel can do that they all can't... chest pounding bass, and its from a tiny 4 inch! XD
i should get a subwoofer and connect it to my TA-ZH1ES input so i can use it with both these swan or any of my other cans XD
this is the first time i rewatch Interstellar afer its first showing 9 years ago, and man with my LG C1 as the screen i feel like i got the best home experience i can get like ever.....
and i just watched Dune a month ago with the same TV with my Z1R, I know its bad to compare the two, with interstellar's audio visual being such a stellar thing XD but man im more glued to the seat rewatching this than any movie ive had first watch of for the last year

i’m getting the d200 for my living room. have d100 at the office so i kinda love swan’s tweeters now, i need to search for their car speakers next year....and these speakers look meh. i could see it blend in some homes and a 4 inch midwoofer has many limitations. you can't push max volume and experience only on axis sound like your basement. I tested rb42 in 3 rooms at work on a weekend and finally gifted it to someone.
D200 is here for review as well. I will complete the Trifecta!

probably, he didnt speak of the Airpulse A100, which are $500usd in my country (lot less in asia), while the MR4 are barely $150 usd in my country (it seems the MR4 are sold as Airpulse MR4 in asia), so if it slain a $500 usd, it surely slay a $150.

Zeus, when reviewing the Edifier Airpulse A100, please tell us which DAC's should we pair it up with.... The Aune X1S really unlocks these speakers potential.... The USB is crap. I'm really suprised with the complements these speakers get from other TH-camrs who just hook them up directly to a computer.... Makes me wonder how they would sound on a SMSL M500 mark 1 which has double the sampling rate of what my Aune X1S gives...
